Lake Placid Marina - offering seasonal boat tours and rentals - neighbors directly west, and a canoe carry to access Mirror Lake is a few steps south. Mirror Lake Drive is highly walkable/bike-able, with continuous sidewalk leading directly into the downtown area. Whiteface Ski Resort is just over a ten minute drive, as are countless trailheads and scenic ventures. This location is truly a dream come true for any outdoor enthusiast.

Great location in walking distance to the main street and restaurants. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the beds were comfortable. Be sure to read the amenities closely, as no hair dryers or toiletries (except for hand soap) are provided. Great home base for hiking, kayaking, and exploring the Adirondacks!

Great house that was perfect for our girls trip to Lake Placid. Quick walk and you are right on Main Street. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful home within walking distance to downtown Lake Placid. Large home, perfect for couples and children. Also a one minute walk to boat launch. Nice outdoor fire ring with plenty of seating and ambiance when outdoor lights are plugged in. Only consideration if coming in the Summer months and it is hot is that there is no air conditioning so house can get very warm. There are fans in each bedroom however. Great home, great location!!!

We had a great long weekend and are so grateful to have been able to spend it at this property! It was walking distance into town - people were even parking out front to walk! We also walked over to the boat rental to take out kayaks and paddle boards on Lake Placid, it was so convenient. The house was clean and comfortable and the perfect size for all of us to share - we loved the fire pit area! Our only complaint was no AC, which was only an issue our first night as it was very hot and humid due to rain. Otherwise we were comfortable the rest of the nights and were happy they provided fans for every room. Thank you for having us and we hope to stay again!

From booking to checkout, Kristen made sure we all had everything we needed for our stay in Lake Placid. The house is fantastic, with plenty of comfy spots to relax, a very well-equipped kitchen, and great proximity to both town as well as Whiteface. The fireplace was especially a treat on snowy eves! Would absolutely recommend this very special spot.

Nice weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect for us… near town but in quiet area. House was spacious and clean. Had the amenities we needed. Will stay here again.

A perfect place to base our family for a trip to Lake Placid. Clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Great communication with the host as well - wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Loved it!

We loved our stay in Lake Placid. The house was nice and close to town to walk. We enjoyed coming back to the house and relaxing by the fire! Would highly recommend!

Great house and location

We had an excellent stay at Kristen's house. The location was amazing (walkable to town). The house was very spacious, great layout, and clean for our group of 8 (adults & kids) to enjoy a long weekend. Beds were cozy and kitchen was well stocked with spices and pans. Kristen was very responsive throughout our stay.

Wonderful house to stay at

My friends and I booked this home to be in Lake Placid for the 4/8/24 solar eclipse. The house exceeded all of our expectations in every way from the cleanliness of the home to the comfort of the beds. Communication with the owner was stellar. Everything we needed was there. Lots of space for us to spread out for some alone time in another room if needed, and ample space to gather together as well. The home was close enough to town on Main Street to walk there. We had three vehicles that easily fit in the driveway as well. Having use of the wood burning stove was amazing and made for cozy evenings with some wine by the fire. The owner also provided a gift of a bottle of delicious olive oil which was such a pleasant surprise and enjoyed by all. Each of us agreed whole heartedly that we would rent the home again for a girls weekend or a trip with our family.

Kristen is a great host and very responsive. The house is in a great location across from Mirror Lake with a sidewalk all around the lake. The kitchen is well stocked and it's perfect for 3 couples as there are 3 on suite bedrooms.
