Our rustic, Brookside cabin with its old-world charm, consists of 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom with wonderful Adirondack décor and king size bed is adjacent to a huge master bathroom , cathedral ceilings , sunken tub overlooking the brook , free standing shower , antique trimmings . Also adjacent to master bedroom is a charming library with views of colorful flowers in spring/summer and Christmas trees in winter . A pull out couch that sleeps 2 . The second bedroom consists of 2 queen size beds. Adjacent to this is another bathroom completely renovated with high ceilings, large shower and antique trimmings. Complete kitchen with vaulted pine ceilings,*Just renovated ..sub zero refrigeration under counter.. quartz counter top ..state of the art appliances with beautiful views of the brook ** The third bathroom sits adjacent to the kitchen with full bath amenities. The washer and dryer is also adjacent to the kitchen wrap around large windows with virws of the brook .Dining room offers a full view of the brook through wall to wall windows, cathedral ceilings with pine and bark and a 12 foot long antique table to enjoy your Brookside dinning. The Great Room is a charming, cozy, romantic and relaxing place with a large stone fireplace, velvet couch, Indian blankets and comfortable chairs. Huge deck facing Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid is partially screened in and a cozy place to sit allowing you to enjoy sounds of the babbling brook and scenic views in any weather.
Brookside is located in the Whiteface club resort area . Simply beautiful any time of the year ! Spring/ Summer an abundance of flowers . This is a fantastic property in a prime location. Of particular mention, it was extremely clean - probably the cleanest and best maintained property of the dozens we’ve stayed at. Quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Highly recommend.

I have always wanted to stay at Whiteface Club & Resort. This particular home and setting were ideal for Labor Day Weekend retreat for a small family. Communication and check-in/check-out was smooth! We appreciated the cleanliness and organization. We plan to be back!

Beautiful, charming cabin that is much bigger than it seems in the listing. Great location, just a small walking path and about a minute from the lake beach. Would love to stay here again.

From the moment we walked in, the Brookside Cabin was warm, welcoming, and cozy. We instantly relaxed and settled in. Cheryl and her team made sure the cabin was clean, stocked, and that we had everything we needed. We highly recommend the Brookside if you want to get away from the stress of it all! We're already booked for next year!

This is the most charming, cozy, well equipped home. This was our 3rd time staying at Brookside. We keep coming back because of this. The host is so welcoming and will get right on any detail that may seem off. It's proximity to all the venues one might want to do in Lake Placid is perfect.

We had a great stay at the Brookside Cabin this past weekend. The cabin was beautiful and made for a perfectly wintry getaway, especially with the fireplace keeping that cozy winter vibe. Everything was very clean, and the entire complex was quiet, well maintained, and relaxing. The location was ideal, close to Main Street in Lake Placid. Check in was super smooth and easy. If you’re considering a trip to Lake Placid, I would definitely recommend staying at Brookside Cabin.

Great for a family

Very nice cabin - larger than it looks in the pictures. Convenient to marina and restaurants - we certainly enjoyed our stay.

Our Thanksgiving stay at Cheryl’s beautiful Brookside Cabin was absolutely wonderful. The cozy vibe and peaceful setting was exactly what we were hoping for. Although her place looks lovely in the pictures, they do not do it justice. It’s even more lovely in person! It’s very clean, well appointed and well stocked. We hope to visit again!

What a great trip we had in Lake Placid. The house was great and the location was beautiful. Very close to the lake with a nice front deck and covered porch at the front as well. It was also just a few minutes from town and stores. Very short walk to a marina for boat tours and kayaking and small swimming area at the lake. HIGHLY recommend!

This cabin was a very short walk to a beautiful lake and just a few minutes drive from all that downtown Lake Placid has to offer. We loved the spacious rooms and aesthetics; everything was beautiful and well appointed. Nothing better than a cozy fire in the evening followed by a bubble bath in the large tub. Plenty of space for four, and we enjoyed how quickly we could get to all the hiking spots in and around Lake Placid. Would definitely stay here again, and give this place two big thumbs up.

I am a resident and native of Staten Island, NY. I am 3rd generation in a family business that was started by my grandfather in 1929 after he immigrated to the US. Back in those days he created every block by hand. We currently specialize in mason and building materials. I have been renting Brookside for 25 years and have done many improvements over the years. My tenants are extremely pleased and I have many returning renters. I take pride in giving each tenant complete attention and strive to help them have the best vacation possible.

I’d like to tell you about my first experience as a potential buyer of Brookside. I arrived during the night and settled into the cozy cabin with no knowledge of the spectacular impressions I would receive the next morning. I awoke to the beautiful sounds of the babbling brook, which I hadn’t heard when I first arrived. I then went outside to the gorgeous wrap around deck I looked at the beautiful Whiteface Mountain and the picturesque Lake Placid while drinking my morning coffee. As I relaxed next to a warm fire I immediately fell in love. Following my lovely morning I explored the area and saw nature at its best. Just 5 minutes away I enjoyed the cozy village of Lake Placid where I antiqued, shopped at boutiques, dined on the lake and enjoyed a fifty cent popcorn at the historic cinema. I decided then and there this was the place and the property for me.
