We want to apologize for the smell, sometimes when it’s been more damp outside the basement needs to be aired out but we will have our cleaners address this issue. The mouse traps are under the sinks and in the utility room because the property is deep in the woods and we have to have precautions against such issues. You left the property at 11:10am Eastern time and check out is at 10:00am. Our cleaner was waiting for you to leave because it was a flip day and the next guest was coming later that day so they have a smaller window of time to clean. Our check out instructions are the same as we’ve seen in any other short-term rental. We need to know what beds were used so you remove the sheets and the only other items are starting the dishwasher and taking out the trash. There is a lot more cleaning that we pay our cleaners to do which is why there is a cleaning fee. Thanks for visiting and we hope that if you come again you have a better experience. Thanks, Alexandra
