Amazing place! The owners were great throughout the entire process with communication and suggestions and helping get everything lined up for airport shuttle etc. The unit has everything you need and as the listing says the view is incredible. The location is perfect and you are right near anything you need. Resort staff are beyond friendly & helpful. Our family of 4 had an amazing trip, and could not recommend this place more to anyone looking to visit Belize. 5 star all the way around!

This is an amazing unit that is well equipped and has the best unobstructed view of the water. Anything you need is in the kitchen including yeti type cups and tons of food storage containers. The beds are very comfortable. The daily maid service is fantastic-they will do any dishes you didn’t get done and will do your laundry for you. There is a huge pool with a swim up bar that has happy hour every afternoon, and several other smaller pools so there is always room at a pool. Free use of kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkel gear. Every employee we interacted with was so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Great unit on a great resort

The resort is well located, a short cart ride from San Pedro and not too far from Secret Beach. There is a great beachside trail for walkers and joggers. Facilities of the resort itself are very good. The unit itself is prime beachfront location!

It is as advertised - lovely view, and comfortable. Very well kept. We really enjoyed the Grand Caribe swimming pools. Found several nearby restaurants that were good and we did not need to rent a golf cart. We would stay here again if we returned to Ambergris Caye.

Exceeded our expectations

My family could not have been happier with our stay at Grand Caribe. Excellent accommodations and excellent service. We did not have a singe bad meal our entire stay on the island. The excursions we planned through the resort were first class. Having our laundry washed and folded by the staff was wonderful. We will be back!

Relaxing Beach Vacation

The condo was perfect for our family of 4 (adult kids). Easy access to the beach, dock and pools. Great patio where we spent a lot of chill time. Clean and super comfortable beds. Even decorated with black and gold balloons and streamers for our new CU Grad! Had the fridge stocked with some staples from the on site grocery. Easy to plan trips with the resort directly, and rent golf carts. A truly relaxing place to be. We were very sad to leave.

Amazing Condo at Grand Caribe

This was our 4th trip to Ambergris & 2nd time staying at Grand Caribe. The condo is in the building with the best location in the whole complex because it faces the beach & is only a few steps to the pool. The condo is perfectly appointed for 2 couples. We live the property because it has a lot of property amenities including room service, concierge, etc BUT it is also so close to many fun restaurants like Truck Stop, Ají, Crocs and more without having to go all the way into town. Of course it’s still pretty convenient to town. We will be back!

Beautiful property

The unit was magnificent. Fully loaded. We enjoyed having breakfast at the table and looking out at the ocean. Full view--no obstructions at all! Having our laundry done was the icing on the cake(though it did take a little getting used to that housekeepers door). Having been to belize before, I have to say this is THE best maintained complex on the island. I hope they keep it up!

Outstanding upscale and comfortable unit with great amenities

We loved so many things about this unit at the Grand Caribe property. First, the location of this unit on the oceanfront provides an incredible ocean view with beautiful sunrises and easy access to the beach, waterfront and pool. We also loved the design of the unit with upscale architectural touches, comfortable beds and furniture, spacious porch and many amenities. The property owner was highly responsive to communications and showed genuine concern when we experienced an small issue during our stay, and the services provided at Grand Caribe are top-notch. The included airport shuttle, daily housekeeping and complimentary laundry service were a great bonus. We enjoyed easy access to local restaurants, the enormous pool with a swim-up bar, and the many businesses including dive shops that were accessible via a 20-minute golf cart ride.

Fabulous Condo

We stayed two weeks at this fabulous condo and can't say enough about the resort, staff and of course the condo. It is decorated beautifully, has an awesome view of the ocean and a kitchen complete with everything you could want to use. We eat in most of the time and were able to cook meals just as if we were in our own kitchen. We did eat a wonderful meal at Rain. There is a very convenient market on the premises too so you can get some snacks and stuff. We did get a golf cart and the drive into town is easy and fun. We found everyone at the resort and on the island in general to be very friendly. There is a lot to do on the island. We felt like we had the best condo in the resort. It is steps to the pools, pool bar and beach. We thank the owners for a great service and we hope to be back for another visit some day.

The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff goes over and beyond to help visitors

Randy and Kathy, we loved your condo. It was very pretty and roomy and very clean!!! Loved the true ocean front location. The kitchen was roomy and well stocked with modern and nice appliances and equipment. Nice large bath with double sinks were great in the master bathroom. It was nice to be able to rent just one bedroom since it was only my husband and me. We have never stayed North of San Pedro before. Always South. But we loved the paved roads and enjoyed checking out some new places on that side. We wish we could have bought a pass to come and go over the bridge to go into town but we learned quickly to have our money ready to cross the bridge. Loved having laundry done. At first I was skeptical, they did great! They would wash, dry, fold our clothes and place them on the table for us while we were out diving. They even left a dollar on top one day that my husband had left in his pocket. Every staff member went over and above to make sure all was well for us. We had a WONDERFUL time at your WONDERFUL place! We will be back!!!!Pam and Ted

Could not be any better!

I just spent 7 days in Belize with my wife and 2 teenage boys. The first three days were spent in the jungle at Caves Branch (Incredible place!) and the final 4 days here at Colin's fantastic condo! The condo first of all is exactly what you see in the pictures, yes that is the view from the patio! The place was clean, everything was new, it had all the comforts of home and more! The daily maid service with Free laundry (I did provide a nice tip though) was a huge bonus. The swim up bar was great with really good bar food (shrimp tacos, nachos, chili cheese fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, etc.) and great service! The ladies at the front desk were awesome, they made reservations for dinner for us, arranged for our golf cart, snorkeling trips (the boat picked us up at the dock) and just took care of every little requirement we had. So the condo was excellent, the staff was excellent, the swim up bar....well who does not love a swim up bar and then finally the location was perfect as well. San Pedro is a fun and interesting little village but you really do not want to stay in the middle of it. The Grand Caribe is about a 10 minute golf cart ride so you are close enough to do dinner or buy groceries in town but far enough away to avoid it as well. If you had no desire to go into town then that is not an issue since there are quite a few bars and local restaurants providing over the water cocktails (Palapa Bar - cool place!) or dinner with your feet in the sand within walking distance. I have nothing but positives to say about the Grand Caribe and I cannot forget Colin, the owner who was very patient with my 50 emails prior to booking the unit answering all my questions and concerns! Colin thanks a ton my family and myself really enjoyed staying in your place! I do believe that your unit is the best in the whole complex as when you are looking out the window or sitting on the patio all you see are palm trees and the beautiful ocean!
Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 1 abr. 2020
Tim Thanks very much for taking the time to write a review, it is very much appreciated. Since it was 20 years since you were last on the Island you must have noticed so much change, but I am so pleased you had a great trip. I feel we got to know each other during our E mail exchanges (maybe your 50 e mails was a bit of an exaggeration...it was more like 47 LOL). Again I enjoyed getting to know you and thanks again for the kind words Colin Marianne and Sophie the Dog

This is the one to rent for your perfect Belize vacation!

My brother in law booked this rental for a surprise 50th birthday trip for my sister. My husband and I came along as a bonus gift! None of us had been to Belize and we were so very pleasantly surprised!! The location of the unit is perfect. The back door opens out on a patio which looks out on the beach and ocean. The front door steps right down to the pool area and the bar/grille. We were so happy that we were never far from our room. Very convenient. The service at the Grand Caribe is wonderful. Everyone was friendly, helpful and fun.The Cowboy Grill has excellent food and was very accommodating. Tua is extremely inviting and welcoming, he always had a smile, a laugh and a good positive thought for the day. Shirlette cooks some amazing food on the grill...you must try the shrimp quesadillas and grilled fish. To Die For! (They even let me have the quesadillas for breakfast, no complaints!) A cold cocktail or a hot cup of coffee is always available and made to order! THis resort is so beautiful and well kept. The grounds are always manicured and the pool is inviting and clean. Our unit was kept spotless during our stay and the friendly housekeepers will even do some laundry no charge if you ask. The unit is set up perfectly for 2 couples. The bedrooms are separate with their own bathrooms and a common living/kitchen/dining area. Everything looks brand new, not like most resorts that look worn out. We requested two king beds as one bedroom was listed as having twin beds. No problem, the bed was comfortable and ready when we arrived. There is ample closet space too! We didn't have to ask for additional hangers like we usually do!! The front desk ladies are very helpful and friendly. You can ask them anything and they will gladly try and help you out. The good thing about Belize is that it's laid back, no hassles or red tape. It is a nice change of pace from a busy lifestyle and rules, rules, rules of our society today. No one is demanding anything of you except that you have a good time. There are restaurants within walking distance or take a water taxi for $5 a person. You can plan excursions from the resort I must say that there is a lot of seaweed that washes up on the shores and Grand Caribe seemed to have the best crew cleaning up. Neighboring resorts did not have theirs raked up as GC did. I also will add that while there we called maintenance twice and everything was fixed within an hour. Amazing service. I can not recommend this place enough.

Everything was amazing. Beach, however, was somewhat disappointing. Very small area of sand that led directly to water and very small ocean area to swim in.
