2/10 Terrible

Terrible

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Experience was the worst we have had since we have been visiting for the past 30 years. Beach access was closed at the resort for 2 days. Lost money on renting resort umbrellas. AC was out 3 different times, once lasting over 24 hrs. Our condo smelt like sewage 1/2 way through our stay and we were told it was from the ocean dredging possibly, but we were on the 7th floor as were some of our friends and they didnt experience the terrible smell. We will not be returning to Water's Edge. We were refunded only 448 dollars out of 3,900.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating the beach access restrictions were. Unfortunately, the beach renourishment project and any temporary closures were managed by local authorities and were outside of our control. Likewise, the beach umbrella rentals are operated by an independent vendor, not through Waters Edge Resort or our rental office. We also sincerely apologize for the building-wide air conditioning outage. While this issue affected the entire building rather than just your condo, we know it was a significant inconvenience. Once service was restored, we provided compensation for the night impacted by the extended outage. Regarding the odor you experienced, we took your concerns seriously and sent building maintenance to inspect the unit on two separate occasions. Despite their efforts, they were unable to identify the source of the smell or find any issues within the condo. We have continued to monitor the unit, and subsequent guests have not reported any similar concerns. We regret that several circumstances—many of which were beyond our control—impacted what should have been an enjoyable vacation. We appreciate your many years of choosing Waters Edge and are sorry to hear this visit did not reflect the experience you've come to expect. We wish you and your family all the best.
