Candlewood Lake Family Fun

Bring your family to CANDLEWOOD LAKE and enjoy one of the largest and most sought-after lakes in Connecticut. You may bring your own boat or rent from one of the many marinas and take advantage of all that Candlewood Lake has to offer. There is something fun for everyone. Candlewood Lake has over 10 full-service marinas to satisfy your needs. Most Candlewood Lake marinas fill up quickly so schedule and book early.

THE HOUSE
Located just steps from Candlewood Lake, you may enjoy a comfortable and fully stocked home with just the right touch of amenities to satisfy the entire family. We have 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 king size beds, 1 queen size bed, 1 full size bed and 1 trundle bed that can easily accommodate 9 to 10 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked and has a granite center island for those who love to prepare meals. The dining room can seat a minimum of 8 guests and opens to the patio deck for those who want to enjoy outdoor grilling and dining. Other amenities such as an, outdoor seating area, outdoor games, and a work area for those who work remotely are in the works and will be ready by Spring.


BOATERS DREAM
Many of our travelers launch their own boats and jet skis at the nearby Lattins Cove Boat Launch in Danbury. It is FREE of charge and just 5 minutes away. Candlewood Lake rules and regulations can be found on their website at https://candlewoodlakeauthority.org . Try to schedule your launch as early as possible since the parking lot is a first come first served lot with limited capacity. Please do your part to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive zebra mussels to Candlewood Lake. Law enforcement will stop boats from launching if they find any invasive species, including zebra mussels.

WATER SPORTS
If the thrill of wakeboarding or waterskiing is your passion Candlewood has it. If you’re looking for a calmer, more serene spot, you will find it at Candlewood. If your preference is to have the kids pulled on a water tube or just letting them splash around in the water, then Candlewood is the place for you. There is something for everyone.
Lakeside Watersports is a boat rental company that offers wakeboarding, water skiing, wake surfing and tubing lessons combined with your boat rental. Visit them on https://lakesidewatersports.com .

BEACHES & PARKS
If you prefer to spend the day at the lake beach you can walk to the Danbury Park Beach which is located literally seconds from the house. The daily pass for access to the Beach/Park are $35 per Adult and $25 per Child.
