Welcome to SKANDIA GUEST SUITE located at the top of the premier church hill neighborhood. This unique romantic getaway is within easy walking distance of downtown Bayfield with sweeping views of Lake Superior and Apostle Islands.

The Guest Suite features SCANDINAVIAN DECOR, LUXURY KING SIZE BED, PRIVATE BATH WITH SAUNA, a separate living area with a mini service nook, sofa/futon, TV Wi-Fi Internet. This 545 sq. ft suite has its own private entrance and patio over looking Lake Superior located in the most desirable area of Bayfield.

Enjoy morning coffee or evening wine relaxing on a professionally designed patio.

Perfect quaint VRBO for a peaceful weekend. Close enough to downtown to access everything easily, but far enough away to have quiet evenings. Loved the sauna and utilized it daily! Highly recommend for a couple get away.

Hi Bill, thanks for your helpful feedback. There are lighter blankets in the drawer under the bed. Sorry to hear about lack of decaf and tea. Those are normally provided but I will check with our on-site host to see what happen. Also, the timer/light is on the front at the very bottom of the sauna heater. Light goes on when you turn the timer on. We look forward to making your next visit to Bayfield even better than this one. Best, Mike

Clean & very comfortable with easy access to the town (street slopes down to the town, so some climbing to get back up). Great hosting, friendly, helpful & attentive. A place to return to!

Nice quiet neighborhood, parking great. Host met us and everything was Very Clean & even Fresh flowers by library reading table & tv. Nice small patio which we enjoyed with small view of Lake Superior Very nice size bathroom, etc.

Hosts were friendly and cordial. Description did not disclose damp/ musty conditions. Hosts, who live above the property, were noisy and up past midnight.

Tom and Jan did not stay in the unit; their son and his wife occupied it without our prior knowledge. We greeted them on arrival and told them directly to notify us immediately of any concerns, as we live upstairs. No issues were ever reported during their stay. The claim of damp/musty conditions is inconsistent with the property’s condition. The unit was inspected by the health department one week prior and re checked afterward by licensed medical professionals. No mold, moisture intrusion, or health hazard was found. We have maintained a 9.2 rating for over three years and have never received a complaint of this nature. The guests requested a full refund, which VRBO reviewed and denied. This sequence of events raises understandable concerns about the motivation behind the claim. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we cannot recommend this guest and would not rent to them in the future. Dr. Hendrickson

We had a great stay! The Skandia Guest Suite is perfectly located if you plan to spend time in town in Bayfield or have it as a home base for exploring the area. Everything was as listed, and the hosts were wonderful.

Great little place for one or two to stay while enjoying Bayfield and area. Good exercise to walk the hill to and from Bayfield. Very pleasant hosts.

We had a great stay! The property was just as it was described online. The location was fantastic, just a few blocks from the downtown area. Nice neighborhood.

Comfortable accommodations in a very quiet spot above Chequamegon Bay.

This unit is in a very quiet neighborhood with a nice view. The king size bed is cozy, and the sauna is a nice plus!

Rest and relaxation

We had a wonderful stay! This space is tranquil and relaxing. It is within walking distance of beautiful downtown Bayfield. We enjoyed the relaxing sauna and had one of the best sleeps ever!We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice!

The property is a very cute, well decorated, walkout basement with a cute little patio. It was a very peaceful and quiet location. Communication with owners/property manager was great. Nice sauna, too!

So convenient

This rental was very comfortable, clean, and met our needs very well. It was so convenient to all the activity in Bayfield ... just a one or two minute drive to the marina or downtown. It was a bit too steep of a walk for us, but it certainly is possible. We would definitely recommend this to others.

I expected more for the price we paid. Locks didn’t work very well. Sauna never got hot enough to break a sweat. Very overrated online.
