Perfect lake house for a week at Sebago! Sandy beach, easy fishing with kids, fire pit every night, and a great spot to head out paddle boarding or kayaking. Everything you need at a reasonable price.

Cindy was very informative with everything that I need and everything that they provide. We absolutely enjoyed the beach. It was amazing.

Jody. Thank you for renting. Sorry your stay was cut short. This week they fished in rainy weather and caught the biggest fish I have ever seen from Sebago. Hope you are able to return sometime in future and stay 2 weeks in Tallwood Cindy

The cottage is rustic but has everything you need..The location was absolutely breathtaking.. We brought our own water for drinking and cooking which was fine, we didn't want to use the water provided. There was plenty of room upstairs and in the 2 bedrooms but the kitchen and living room are crowded together. Cindy is great and will answer any questions!!! The cottage location is near everything!

Lori, Thank you for your nice review. and renting. People that know Sebago Lake are surprised at the beauty and quiet of Dingley Cove and yet how close to town is. When we rebuilt the cabin from inground to roof.we wanted to keep the Rustic feel for comfort. Glad you enjoyed this side of the lake. Cindy Gerke

We enjoyed the location! The boat launch is right onsite. The beach access is less than a minute from the front door of the cabin. The kitchen it TINY but full of plenty of necessities. For future renters, we recommend bringing car covers or tarps for your vehicles. Parking under the trees for a week left plenty of sap on our cars. It was an easy fix to go through the car wash on the way out of town. Our family of (4) fit in the cabin. Any more than this number would be SUPER tight. The loft was a nice feature of the property.

Beautiful location

Quiet location with a great beach and easy access to the beauty of Sebago Lake. Loved that it had a private boat ramp. Bedrooms were good sizes. Owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful!

Maine Getaway

We loved staying in Tallwood. The location is perfect,the cabin was great and big enough for the 4 of us. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful. Cindy is a wonderful host. She has lots of info to share and is very accomodating. We loved staying here!

A Nice Place by the Lake

It was our first year renting this property. There was easy access to the lake and a nice beach. We hope to be able to return next year!!!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The camp was perfect for our family of 5 with young children. We had everything we needed and spent most of our time at the camp, in the water. The cove was calm and shallow for the kids. It was a stress free environment. Cindy stayed in contact and was available for any needs. She also provided a lot of information about the camp and things to do in the surrounding towns.

Peaceful retreat

The cabin is located in a small community along Lake Sebago and has a nice sized beach and shallow water ideal for young children. There is a dock to bring your boat and we got a sticker and fishing licenses to comply with State requirements. Cindy is a thoughtful host and her property is nicely renovated. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a peaceful cabin retreat.

The house was not clean when we got there - very dirty and in disarray. Cindy was nice and responsive/ got someone to come clean the following day. The house overall was very tiny. Beds were all incredibly uncomfortable. Bathroom was very small and shower was very tiny. Sandy outside with rugs outside and inside that were full of sand - so house was uncomfortably sandy until I removed all the throw rugs and swept! Area is beautiful but it’s full of sap from the trees - all owners had covers for their cars- we didn’t as renters. Beautiful spot - but for all above reasons- wouldn’t rent there again. Been renting in the area for over 6 years and this was the least desirable of all. Didn’t even really unpack due to the uncleanliness.

The cabin is located on a Sandy beach, there is a foot bath on the porch and an outside door mat. I hired 2 different cleaners to accommodate you. If you liked Sebago Lake you might be more comfortable at Migis Lodge for your next vacation rather than beach front. I park under Oak trees not the pine trees.

Camp Life

Great location on Sebago Lake the biggest disappointment was that there was non potable water with a sign telling you at the kitchen sink. We knew nothing about that and it should have been posted. We would not have gone there.The place was a mess.Leftover food, food in microwave was a nightmare and almost left the premises.Sand follows you into the house, very steep staircase if you have more people to sleep upstairs.Smells of smoke won't go away.

Mark, Many properties close to lake do not have well water. I tell all renters local Raymond Fire Dept supplies tested drinking water to refill dispenser jugs. My add specifies Tranquil sandy beach and I supply foot bath for deck. I addressed your issues with new cleaners doing first time cleaning and reminded them of their check list and spraying all curtain, couch and rug fabrics with Febreze for dog and non-smoking odors. I also spent 8 hrs drive on Sat to check cabin while they cleaned for next guest. A new microwave and an air purifier (due to brown tailed Moth/caterpillar fur allergy in Maine this year) were delivered the day you arrived. However, I received complaints about unnecessary excessive noise your vehicle made scaring elderly neighbors when entering and leaving. . CGerke

Best week ever!

Location is a little piece of heaven on earth. Owner was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. Very easy to find and conveniently located near amenities if needed. Was wonderful to have the camp, beach and access to the water within feet of each other. The ability to have our boat at a dock on the property could not have been better. Already looking forward to planning another stay in the future.

Fantastic quiet cottage right on the lake!

Spent an amazing week right on Sebago lake at this awesome cottage. Hilltop Market right up the street has fantastic pizza, the Good Life Market in Raymond has the best sandwiches, and Hana Asian Cuisine in Windham had the best hibachi I've ever had. 45 minutes to Falmouth I got the best breakfast ever at Bernie's Forside and lunch at Becky's Diner in the Portland Old Port! Fantastic vacation thanks to the great location of this cottage.

Thank you for returning to Tallwood in Dingley Cove on Lake Sebago. Hope you found time to enjoy the beach and and a campfire. I have used the word Tranquil but that is an understatement. Locals who come for repairs or deliveries are amazed to discover our beautiful quiet hidden area so close to town.The cabin has been in my family many years and I have enjoyed hearing the pleasure the few families I have allowed to rent enjoyed. Hope you took a trip up Hackers Hill for a beautiful sunset. Cindy
