Bayou Rose Cottage nothing short of spectacular. I met Anne and Mike on arrival and Anne showed me to the cottage where a fresh baked bread was made awaiting my arrival. The place was spotless and it was a very peaceful time. Though they live right next door the place seems like your own cottage by the river. Abbeville is a good place to be far enough away from Lafayette, but close enough for some shopping perhaps. Also Abbeville has its own great restaurants so you need not go far for great food.

Very spacious bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and porch. Very well supplied and spotless. Right on the Vermillion River (Bayou?) with beautiful lawn between back porch and water. Nice pier with chairs for river watching. Exceeded expectations.

Beautiful and Cozy Cottage

We loved our stay here. It was incredibly cozy and has such a beautiful view of the river. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a homey and relaxing place to stay in the area.

Anne and Mike were excellent hosts. The one bedroom house was next door to their home but felt completely private. The view of the bayou was peaceful and the location convenient to the charming Abbeville town center as well as al the other Cajun communities.

Really nice place

In town for a work trip and wanted to stay away from hotels. This place was everything I was looking for. Anne was great, property was nice and well kept, will stay again.

Beautiful cozy spot on the Bayou!

We enjoyed our stay and Anne and Mike were so responsive and kind. The house was clean and well stocked, the owners make it to where you don’t need to bring anything! Very relaxing spot to get away to. Highly recommend!!

This was our second stay at Bayou Rose, and we will return! If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable little cottage with the perfect porch for rocking while you sip your coffee (or wine!), this is it. The kitchen is well-equipped, and Ann is very attentive. It’s just like staying with family, but you have the place to yourself!

Cozy cottage

The cottage is just precious and perfect for a get away from everyday life! The highlight for us was the porch which faces the Vermilion River, the perfect place to sit peacefully and enjoy the local wildlife. We also really enjoyed meeting the owners!

Right on the river

We are returning customers of the Bayou Rose. We have family in the area and love staying here. Anne and Mike are wonderful hosts! The location is perfect near Abbeville, restaurants and our family in Kaplan.

Rajun Cajun Country

Wonderful time we had exploring the sites that the Rose B&B owners suggested we see in their neck of the Bayou . The restaurants and discovery areas of local history were outstanding. Enjoyed the host’s hospitality immensely.

Reunion with old friends

I had a wonderful time catching up with former workmates. The accommodations and hosts were fantastic. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting the bayou country of South Louisiana.

A pretty cottage on the banks of the vermillion

Beautifully decorated cottag with a local cajun flair. Anne the hostess was very friendly and responsive. It was our second visit there and if we return to the area we will stay there again.

Fabulous Place

This is our third visit to the Bayou Rose as it is in a wonderful location with fabulous hosts. We felt totally immersed into the Cajun way of life. The cottage is as cute as it can be and the porch a wonderful place to watch wildlife and relax

Fantastic Getaway

This is our fourth trip to this fabulous cottage. The hosts are great about giving ideas of what to do and great places to dine. But, just sitting on the back porch gazing at the bayou is super relaxing and gives a person a chance to chill and rewind.

Lovely Getaway

Having been there 5 times, this is a perfect getaway and place to unwind and kick back. You can do as much or as little as you want. Hosts are super! Very considerate and leave the best treats! We’ll definitely be back!

Authentic Louisiana Hospitality

Absolutely Divine

Ann and Mike are top notch hosts. The little house is great. We will definitely be back when its cooler. That way we can sit outside on porch and enjoy the view. You will not regret staying here.

Wonderful Hospitality!

Anne and Mike made us feel like we were staying with family during our stay at the cabin for a family wedding. They had breakfast items and a warm welcome for us The cabin was spotless, and the view of the bayou from the porch and dock were spectacular and oh so peaceful. Our highest recommendation!

Thank you Kelly for your review. So happy you could rewind a little on the dock after such a beautiful wedding. The bayou does tend to give people peace , either from the rocking chairs on the porch or sitting on the dock. Time seems to go a little slower here. Until we meet again…….
