The house was beautiful, very clean, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. Communication with the host was completely smooth, and responses were always prompt and helpful.What we especially appreciated were the thoughtful extras, such as a refrigerator stocked with fruit, snacks, and a selection of drinks upon our arrival. We would also like to highlight the excellent beach equipment provided. Everything was available, from beach towels and boogie boards to snorkeling gear.We felt very comfortable throughout our stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the house. We would highly recommend it and would be happy to stay there again.

This house was absolutely perfect, better than the pictures depict! It’s tucked in a neighborhood and surrounded by trees, the only sound you could hear were birds chirping. The view of the ocean from the porch was the cherry on top. The host left a welcome basket when we arrived, making it easy to get settled in on just the first night. Check in and check out was simple, host were very responsive. This is one of the best rentals I’ve stayed in, would highly recommend.

Great property!

Great location, great views! The house was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had all we needed, and we would definitely stay here again!

One of our best VRBO stays! Our host Joe was great. The house was extremely well stocked with snacks, all fruit, drinks and a streudel! We’re VRBO hosts as well and I was taking notes on everything. So much nicer than staying in a hotel. Beautiful location with a view of the ocean.Highly recommend!

Our family loved staying in this beautiful authentic Hawaiian home. We loved the scent of the soap they provided, how comfortable the beds were and that our rooms got really cool for sleep. They also welcomed us with the most generous and amazing basket filled with practical and yummy treats for our stay. This beautiful place also has an ocean view, which we were surprised with. While Rainbow Deluxe is situated close to some of the most luxurious hotels in all of Hawaii, we will come back and stay here because we loved our stay and the entire experience.

Perfect maui stay

The pictures dont do it justice, perfect little spot to stay in maui, in a good location between everything and property was very clean and nice! The check in was easy and they even did some extras for the wifes birthday! Overall awesome place with a nice yard and great extras included for the beach if you dont have any

Perfect place to stay!

We had a great stay in Kihei. The apartment was perfect and we felt very welcome. The location in South Maui is close to many beaches, some for snorkeling, some for swimming, some for bodyboarding. We even spotted turtles! Good coffee bars, restaurants and foodtrucks are also nearby. We definitely recommend!

This is an awesome property and the hosts are amazing! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property for your stay on Maui. Conveniently located to access the entire island and great beaches. The house was the best stocked VRBO in which we have ever stayed. The entire house is air conditioned with a great system. Unusual for Hawaii. And the hosts were immediately available and responsive to our questions. If you are able to grab this property for your vacation, do so without hesitation. You won’t regret it!!!

Excellent!

This home was beautiful and exceptionally clean! So many cute lizards on the property! The owners even had some water and snacks to get our vacation started. Small but great view of the ocean and sunset.

enjoy and relax

The place is as described on VRBO website. The owners have everything ready and even a welcoming basket and a bottle of champagne to welcome New Year. The location is convenient to beaches, golf courses, and businesses in Kihei. Recommend to stay at this place.

Home Away From Home

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The host was incredibly generous and left some snacks for our family, which was a lovely surprise that we truly appreciated. The house was the cleanest we've ever stayed in and was very quiet. In the evenings, we enjoyed sitting on the patio and taking in the beautiful view of the ocean. The place was well-equipped with everything we needed, from beach gear to kitchenware and supplies. It truly felt like our home away from home.

Well thought out Maui cottage

All you need to enjoy your Maui stay. No running around to rent before head to beach chairs towels snorkel umbrella. Set up to grab and go. We so appreciated the level of amenities for this cottage. We’d love to come stay again!!

We had another amazing stay at Rainbow Cottage. We continue to be highly impressed with the cleanliness and the outstanding hospitality provided. January 2024

The property was in a very convenient location, close to Safeway, shops and Foodland. They have so many amenities available to us, boogie boards, beach chairs, hiking gear, binoculars, towels, basically fully stocked kitchen. Perfect place for two couples or less. I would gladly come back to this vrbo location!

Excellent vacation rental in Maui

Great communication. Beautiful place. Perfect for 3 adults. My only complaint is noisiness of the main bed. Birds were our wake up call each morning around 5 am. Lots of geckos were cool. Very well stocked placed with many extras. Would highly recommend this place. Way better than a hotel room.

Amazing

Joe and Mary Ann have created the most complete and comfortable home in an amazing location in Maui Meadows. Completely secluded on a private property in beautiful Maui but incredibly close to all the great beaches and activities/restaurants. This beautiful home lacks for absolutely nothing as every need had already been anticipated and supplied.

Really nice cottage

Many nice amenities found here not in other places on Maui we have rented. Excellent AC and internet service. Computer in the cottage you can use. The fridge had a giant basket full of bars, fruit, cheese and other items. Also had OJ and milk and some other things. Communication with the owners was easy and fast. Actually, can't say enough good things. A very nice experience for us all.

Another perfect stay

What’s not to love? Once again impressed with the extremely clean cottage, the views, the landscaping, the comfort. Joe and Mary Ann have thought of everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The linens are high quality, the appliances (including full sized washer/dryer) are all in good working order, great water pressure. The welcome basket and extras (milk, juice, yogurt, granola, coffee, and more) is delightful, and can sustain you for a couple of days. And the sunsets! We so enjoyed our time there after two years of not traveling, and will definitely be back! Mahalo Joe and Mary Ann!

I’m not sure I can accurately convey how wonderful this place was. From before we arrived communication with Joe and Mary Ann was fantastic. Coming into the unknown you trust pictures and communication. Upon arrival we felt we were in heaven. The house is tucked away in beautiful landscaping with great wildlife to entertain us. Location is incredible, far enough away to feel serene and close enough to get to everything touristy and local. My absolute favorite part of the cottage is the amenities. Great master bed with nice walking in closet. Incredible linens and lush towels. Personalized robes, I felt so pampered. The kitchen was great for when we wanted to stay in or bringing back leftover goodies from our adventures. The washer and dryer were a lifesaver and I’m convinced to change detergents when I get home because I liked the one they had here so well. And finally just the absolute detail to our comfort provided made this such a personal experience for a magical time in our lives. We couldn’t be more grateful. Mahalo Joe and Mary Ann for your personals approach to sharing this island with us.

Above and Beyond!

We loved our time at the Rainbow Deluxe guest house - truly a hidden gem! The house was exactly as described, although the pictures don't capture the beauty of the surroundings. The house was well-stocked with all the essentials needed in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms, as well as for outings and activities. Joe and Mary Ann have thought of everything. We were thrilled to find a welcome basket with fruit, snacks, and coffee as well as a fresh pineapple, upon arrival. What a nice surprise. The beds were so comfortable and the linens and towels were high quality. We felt pampered after long days hiking and scuba diving. The cottage is in close proximity to the beach and relatively close to Haleakala National Park and other hikes. We usually spend most of our time away from our accommodations when travelling. In this case, we felt very torn and longed for more time at the house, which was so relaxing. On the day we checked out, we were able to spend several hours on the lanai drinking coffee and enjoying the surrounding nature. We will be back!

Rainbow Deluxe - - Oct 22

This place is so nice, we’ve now stayed here twice! Spotlessly clean and well supplied with everything you need, from a fresh pineapple and welcome basket of goodies that lasted the whole week, to all the beach supplies imaginable, to the plushest bath towels this side of the Four Seasons. Not to mention the full-size washer/dryer so we could return home with clean clothes. Our thanks to Joe and Mary Ann, with hopes we will have an opportunity to stay here again!
