Your rustic lakeside retreat: Experience a slice of yesteryear in this 1950s-style lakeside cabin, offering a truly rustic ambiance and unpolished charm, framed by unspoiled Lake Chelan vistas. Embrace the tranquil seclusion of this pet-friendly getaway, with a roomy deck and electric BBQ perfect for enjoying your favorite meals and unwinding after a fun day on the lake. You will find a simple, no-frills dock for boat loading/unloading, and a buoy for overnight moorage. We typically keep a canoe or peddle boat available on the property for guests to access their boat or enjoy out on the lake.

There are stairs at this home, as well as a grassy area and dock that have unprotected drops. Small children and the elderly should be cautious.

Pet-Friendly: We're happy to host up to two well-behaved dogs with prior approval and a $50/pet fee. Please ensure pets stay on the property for this home.

Please note: During the peak summer season, there's a 7-night minimum stay with a Saturday turnover. Video cameras/noise monitoring may be present outside the home's exterior. Please be aware that lake and river levels fluctuate throughout the year, with the lake/river generally being lowest in the spring and at full height in July and August.

Close to everything

The property is close enough to the city of Chelan but far enough away that there's peace and quiet. The cabin was clean and stocked with all the essentials. The water level of the lake was down about 12ft, so keep that in mind if you book during the colder months.

Cute house right on the lake

Great place to stay. About 20 mins from the main city of Chelan, so nice and quiet.

Great little beach cabin!

This rustic cabin was perfect for a getaway with my family of 4 and dog. The large deck doubles the living space and we really enjoyed the canoe! We very much appreciated the life jackets being on the property. Would stay here again!

Fantastic, quiet location, right on the shore

Nice cabin on the waterfront with amazing views looking across to the mountains on the opposite eastern shore makes for wonderful sunrises and spectacular sunsets. Very quite location far from the noise of the town of Chelan. We will likely stay here again.

Great property

Wonderful house in a beautiful location. Very peaceful and even though there are houses on both sides it feels isolated. The property manager was easy to get a hold of, even on Sunday. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous view

We loved our stay! Some simple updates to the cabin would make the home even better. It’s simple for what we needed. The view on the deck made it all worth it. Perfect for a low key long weekend.

The sweetest little cabin

This little cabin is perfect for a small group.. Easy to clean. The deck is perfect. It was really clean on arrival. The neighbors were very nice also. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

It was a great opportunity to stay at this property! It was everything that we needed and more! The owners were incredibly communicative and responsive when needed. Would definitely consider this property again if we ever come back out that way!

Private & cozy!

We loved our stay! It was the perfect size for our group and dog friendly was a huge plus! We were under the impression that there was a bunk bed in one of the rooms but that was not the case. Other than that, it was the perfect place for the type of weekend we wanted to have.

Rustic Adventures with a side of “Karen”

*Pros:* - Stunning lake views and easy access - Nice kitchen and living room area with newer appliances - Close to downtown Chelan (30 minutes) - Excellent customer service from Chandra at Vacation Chelan *Cons:* - Bedrooms and bathrooms need updating and are small and cramped - Rodent issue and hole in the wall (but quickly fixed by maintenance) - Pet-friendly policy is questionable due to neighbor's hostility towards pets *Overall:* - Great views and location, but some areas need improvement - Be aware of potential pet-friendly issues with the neighbor - Excellent customer service from Vacation Chelan

Rustic and Wonderful

If you are looking for a fancy rental, move along. If you are looking for a funky, rustic, cabin with charm this is your place. Great location, with a dock (again not the nicest but does its job), bouy for your boat, and a nice deck. We couldn't complain!

Picture Perfect Location

Perfect location on the lake; peaceful and quiet. We even saw big horn sheep across the lake. It was great having two buoys to hold our boats. We like vintage but the only issue is the septic smell when sitting on the deck in the evening.

Waterman’s dream

The property was great, we spent all our time fishing and kayaking, getting our kayaks to the water took some engineering and ropes. If you’re bringing your own boats it is best to launch them from the ferry terminal, it’s a very short paddle to the private dock. And a short one mile paddle across the lake makes for a great day trip to the the Mitchell creek campground. All in all my family and I enjoyed our stay.

Lovely home for vacation

We had my niece with us for a couple weeks from AZ so we thought we'd take her to Chelan. We had a great time and the house suited our needs perfectly. We will definitely be visiting again. Also, the owner is very kind. We couldn't find the blender so we called her, she picked right up and told us where to look. Neighbors are friendly too. This was the perfect spot to get away from it all and the view is gorgeous.

Amazing

We had the best stay at the Waterfront Cabin in Lake Chelan. The view is breathtaking. You awake every morning to the lake right out your window. The cabin is simple but very adequately stocked. We hiked, fished, and sampled local wineries - falling in love with Lake Chelan and the beautiful surroundings. Cindy is very responsive and easy to work with. We can't wait to go back!

Perfect Lake Side Retreat

This older house in Lake Chelan was perfect for our stay. It is stocked w/everything we needed. It was right next to Fields Point Landing so that was very convenient to catch the Ferry up to Stehekin. Cindy at Vacation in Chelan was very helpful & quick to reply with any questions I had. The cabin isn’t fancy but it is functional & far enough (30 minutes) from the town of Chelan & wineries to not have to deal the hustle bustle on a daily basis but close enough to make the run. We wil be back

Peaceful and quiet spectacular view

Property is located on the quiet end of the lake and the waterfront pic is what you get. Property is comfortable and satisfies most of your needs. We shopped for groceries before arrival as stores are 30 min away. Note that you will want to inquire about lake level as we went in June and the dock wasn't accessible if you are bringing your boat There are two balls that you can tie onto and one is close in. We had a great stay and LOVED being away from all the noise in town.

Great view

Great view and location to enjoy Chelan. It’s is a bit rustic as others have mentioned but is an old fishing cabin. (Ants, spiders, etc.) It has the amenities you want (ac, laundry) and if this place was spruced up a little would be amazing. (Deck, paint, bed frames) Overall a good stay but a little hard to get in the water for a swim if that’s what your looking for. We had an issue with the grill and e-mailed property manager and didn’t hear back.

Lake Chelan Getaway

Small cabin, no slider screen door, burnt outlets, air conditioner that spits water, very small amount of supplies given(bring your own TP, laundry soap, ect) and if you have dogs, don’t waste your time. Rich people don’t like dogs except for their own. And bring a life jacket for your dog if they fall off the retaining wall like ours did. If you have an emergency, good luck calling 911, no cell service and the phone in the cabin doesn’t work. Waste of $4000. Should have went to Vegas instead!!

State of property

Rotted wood deck unsafe, landscaping and staires terrible unsafe safe. Overall inside very outdated and falling apart. No easy access to water in and out. For the cost of the week would not recommend. Had to call for trash pickup so we would not be charged extra. Need to get rid of outdated items I. e. TV in spare rm. Takes up unused space, bunk bed is not practical and all mattresses are extremely old, worn and very uncomfortable.

Clean but Dilapidated

So many great reviews when I booked this lakeside "home". But we arrived to knee height weeds from front of property to the water. Had to stomp down grass just to reach the dock. No place for our approved pets to go potty. Neighbors said it was the worst condition they had ever seen it! Inside the home the ceiling has visible signs of water damage. Wrippled, loose, warped ceiling tile. Dirty windows. Warped, sloped, buckled flooring. Shower did not drain while showering and was also at a slope. Deck was a hazard waiting to happen. No bugs, clean sheets and towels, a beautiful view, and beautiful town! We loved Chelan. We would love to come back....staying in a different house.😔

As advertised

If you are looking to stay in one of the brand-new, spectacular lake front cabins on Chelan, this one may not be for you. But if you are looking for a comfortable, functional cabin with a spectacular view and a dock that will also allow Fido (your well behaved canine family member), to come along, then this is it! They call it rustic, and it is. Not in an old-time log cabin type of rustic, but as in mid-1960's, nothing too fancy kind of rustic. The amenities are few, but that was fine by us. Loved having a washer/dryer though. Cell service, cable and internet are non-existent, and that was just fine. Even the TV is an old CRT type with some DVDs. If you are used to a HD flat screen as most of us are nowadays, you will find it almost unwatchable. But again, that was just fine. If more modern amenities were available, we would have been immersed in them instead of the incredible beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains. A couple of notes: The master bedroom has a topper on the mattress. Some people like them, but for some of us with back problems, they are medieval torture devices. We pulled it off after the first night. Also, the driveway is very steep. Do not attempt to bring a boat trailer down! If you have a boat, the state park is just a few miles away and has a great boat launch. It will cost you a few bucks, but if you have a park pass, you can leave your boat trailer parked there during your stay (space allowing). Otherwise you have to leave it along the road, which is ok, but not ideal. We took our boat up to Stehiken, and it was a spectacular cruise up the lake. You'll want to fuel up at 25-Mile Creek, which is just a few miles up lake from the cabin, as it is the only fuel until you get to Stehiken. Make sure you take the time to go down to the pastry shop in Stehiken. Its worth the time! All in all, we had a great time. It is hard to give the cabin 5 stars because of the "rustic" nature of the building itself. But it was clean and it worked fine for our needs. Plus, the dogs had a great time!
