This 790sq ft studio basks in natural sunlight, has a hypoallergenic Talalay queen size bed, viscose bamboo sheets/duvet, full grain leather Eames chair and an on-wall 75in Sony TV. It has high ceilings with exposed brick/duct central heat/air, a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, gas stove and large refrigerator. There's also cabinet lighting, track lighting, island seating with solid surface quartz countertops. Carrying into the modern bathroom, there is a large one of a kind circular custom tiled shower. Next to a built-in private work space, there's a washer/dryer with closable doors. The open hardwood floor plan extends with rooftop access via a custom built iron spiral staircase to deck amenities including grill, deck chairs, table, and lounge chairs for sunning, all overlooking Downtown Evansville, just half a block from Main Street.

Everything was perfect and was just like the pictures show - it is in walking distance of any restaurant you want to eat at downtown. We enjoyed coffee and the convenience of the apartment. Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay. The host was very accommodating as well!

Fantastic location if you’re looking to be downtown. Within walking distance to food, bars, shops and walking along the river. Loved the natural light and rooftop access. Host was excellent with communication and accommodating requests. Only downside in my opinion is the AC is rather noisy, and I missed having a sofa to sit on. I did not have a car but there is ample street parking.

I really enjoyed my stay at this little gem! It is right downtown in the historic district and you just walk all around there to get a coffee have lunch and go out for drinks. The place is super cute and modern. And dont be fooled by the shower pics....it is HUGE! I really loved this place. Kale was super nice and helpful. Gave me pointers on where to go and what is good downtown. Would love to stay there again!!

Everything was very clean! Pics to show how to get in and where to park were great. Lots of strange noises around the apartment but that’s part of staying downtown I guess! Great place.

Awesome location!

Nice apartment with roof top access and gas grill. Located near Ford Center. Owner was great and communicated well with any questions.

Location! Location! Location! This is such a great location. You could take an Uber from the airport and then not need one again until you leave. The unit has a Keurig and electric kettle but we walked to the local coffee shops instead. We also had lunch and dinner in downtown since there were so many options. As others have said, the bed is very comfy. Everything is as advertised and Kale is a great host. I highly recommend staying here if you need somewhere in Downtown to stay.

We LOVED our stay, thank you for sharing your place with us! We will be back in November! It was the perfect spot for us (my husband & I) located downtown with lots of walkable busy establishments & historical sites. The flat/apartment was very clean & packed with lots of convenient home essentials, if you’re not one for the noise and businesses of downtown this is not the place for you.

I know this is a late response, but OMG I just now noticed that several of the windows were open at the top. No wonder it was noisy. I can't believe they've been open this whole year! Anyway thanks for saying something. All fixed now.

Cute Studio in an Excellent Location for Ford Center

My husband and I stayed four nights at Kale's place. It was a lovely little studio in a great location for our event at the Ford Center as well as within walking distance to many great restaurants. Parking was simple over the weekend. Communication with Kale was excellent, and he was gracious enough to allow us to check in early and easily book extra nights. The Murphy bed was very comfortable. The shower was a nice size with plenty of hot water. All appliances worked well. The central air stood up to some extremely hot temperatures. The apartment looked to be recently refurbished with exposed brick, nice floors, etc. Do be aware that the furnishings really are minimal (which is clear in the listing) and that you might need to do a bit of "sprucing up" if you are a clean freak, like me. Overall, it was a great stay and one that we would recommend if you are interested in a fabulous downtown spot.

I was born only 5 blocks down the street from the VK Studios building. I lived in England for 3 years, married a girl from Czech Republic, and returned home. I also own and operate InterPro Barbers on the ground floor of the building.

When I saw this building, the immediate surroundings reminded me of England and I knew immediately that this was the spot for me to create something special.

Established in 2007, during a historic recession, I started InterPro Barbers on the ground floor. Being a 4th generation barber after art, graphic design and fashion design college, I figured it was time to try interior design. They say you can't please all the people all the time, but everyone I know loves this building.
