It was a great place with great views and private beach. We could not find blankets for the pull out beds but luckily we travel with some!

The place had not been cleaned from the prior guest before we checked in. The BBQ grill does not ignite so bring a lighter. Great views. Quiet little community. Easy to get to and back into CDA.

Nice, small and cozy cottage. Sleeps 7, but I would not recommend for more than 5. Very nice location, silent except for current road work being done that started very early in the morning.

Great location! Very clean and stocked kitchen. Very short walk to the water which is great for swimming and floating. Boat slip was an overpriced and I think should have been included in the rate. Less square footage than we expected from the pictures. Overall a great stay.

I had a terrific experience. The communication between myself and the host was clear and quick. The property had itself isolated well enough to truly feel like you had the location all to yourself. The home was clean, well stocked with appliances, clean towels, and cookware. For a small living space everything was designed well and for my family comfortably. The environment was peaceful, it'll make you feel like you want to live there. Thank you for the experience.

Location was well, stairs were a little tricky for us because the stairs were narrow. We enjoyed the deck. The house was well equipped. Would recommend other people staying there.

Easy to find, very cute little place-very good use of space—had everything we needed in the kitchen, we played games, lake was right there and easy to get to, just a short walk down the lane. Very friendly neighbors. Everything was very clean and neat.

Beautiful get away

I booked this stay for my spouses birthday. Very cozy home. It was very comfortable for the two of us. We had a view of the lake, surrounded by nature. We took advantage of the private beach and launched our paddle boards from the there where we discovered a beautiful small island not too far away with a fire pit. Beautiful views of CDA lake from the side of kid island bay. Close to downtown. Would book again :)

2/10 Terrible

We were extremely disappointed with this property and would not stay here again. The biggest issue was a very strong mold/mildew odor throughout the house. There was visible mold above the shower and a significant crack in the bathtub. The smell was strong enough to be detected outside near the house. Both my wife and I also noticed that the odor seemed to become significantly stronger after the shower was used, which made us very concerned there may be an underlying moisture problem. There were other maintenance issues as well. The dryer appeared to be exhausting warm, humid air back into the house rather than properly venting outside, and the overall condition of the property was considerably more worn and poorly maintained than the listing photos suggested. We documented the problems with photos and reported them to Vrbo. The property management company disputed the severity of the issues and their only resolution was a 70 refund. This was not a minor cleanliness complaint or a faint musty smell. The odor was obvious, persistent, and became worse with shower use. I would absolutely have wanted to know about these conditions before booking. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property.

The guests did not report any problem until after they left. We immediately checked the house and detected zero odor in or around the house. There was some mold above the shower which we treated right away and it is now gone. I offerred $70 as a courtesy as the issues could not be verified and was not mentioned until after their 4 night stay was over.

Cute, private cabin on the lake.

We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin's location and access to a small beach on the lake. As noted in the description, the stairs going down to the bedroom are extremely steep. There are hand-holds that provide some security while descending the stairs, and there is a downstairs bathroom for use during the night. We enjoyed having a well-outfitted kitchen so we could cook our own meals. Everything we needed was provided. The bed was comfortable and the living area has a view of the lake. We enjoyed walking around the area in the evening.

Lovely! Perfect for me, my husband, and 7 and 10 year old kiddos. The hosts thought of everything. Lovely soap and coffee. Lovely arrangement and amenities. The stairs are small and steep for anyone elderly or very tall or without some agility. Which was not a problem for us, but could be for some. This was a lovely launch pad for hiking, silver wood, biking, annd exploring the area! Fantastic paddle boarding from the dock that is a one minute walk. We caught little blue gill fish, saw many turtles while paddleboarding, several hummingbirds from the house, countless graceful deer, and even a porcupine in a tree!!!! Thank you so much for our lovely stay.

Weekend Trip in CDA

This property is adorable. It’s in a super good location that is quiet and has such a nice little beach access, surrounded by other beautiful properties. The house is so cute on the inside and fit 4 adults comfortably. Only downfall is be careful on the stairs. They are quite steep and narrow. This property might not be great for the elderly or anyone with physical disabilities. Wasn’t a concern for us but should be put out there just in case! We absolutely loved it here!!! Would definitely recommend!

Kidd Bay - Quiet, Peaceful Beach

We stayed at this property over a long Labor Day weekend. It was clean, charming and best of all ... just steps away from a near-perfect sandy beach with a protected swimming area (great for small children). Note that as the posting describes the steps to the lower level are VERY steep. When considering parking, two cars would be super tight (my pickup fit great, but there really wasn't room for a second vehicle). And lastly, if you're bringing a boat, don't bring your trailer to this property. There's no place to park it and the street it's on has a sign that say's "no turnaround" (accurate). Overall, the property is great.
