Very spacious and charming older farmhouse in quiet area. Well stocked kitchen and game room. Convenient to Camden Hills State Park, a winery, and the towns of Camden and Lincolnville.

We had a lovely time in Maine. The location was perfect for visiting Belfast, Camden, Rockport - the whole mid Coast. The weather got a little warm towards the end of our day, but fans really cool the house at night cream. Highly recommend.

The location of this property was great. Quiet, peaceful, but easy access to Camden and Lincolnville.internet was a bit slow, but our starlink had decent reception so it wasn’t an issue. If you plan to work remotely you’ll need a similar back up plan. That being said not many people plan to work through vacation.

Thank you Karen and I am glad sorry you experienced this with the internet. We recently learned that we are able to upgrade to fiber which we will be doing next spring so if you stay with us again this won't be an issue as we have been given fiber in our area!

We had an amazing time at this home for our family of 9 (including 2 kids). It was one of those weeks that was a bit warm, so it did get hot in there without A/C, but it was cool enough at night to be able to sleep ok. Some of our family loves to hike, so being 4 minutes away from some amazing trails at Camden Hills State Park was great! We also got to check out a few awesome beaches nearby (Lincolnville and Barrett's Cove), both less than 10 minutes away.Our kids loved the toys, but having a ping pong table in the play room was their favorite part! Overall a great experience with responsive hosts, a nice (and unique) home, and an amazing location. Thanks for an awesome home base for our vacation!

Beautiful farm house in a year location

We loved our stay and had a great time. The property has a great well stocked kitchen, nice yard and just overall a lot of room to relax. The location is near several nice towns. Would love to stay again in the future.

Great stay in Lincolnville

We had a wonderful visit To your home. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and really enjoyed the game room with ping-pong, darts, and Fuzball.

Amazing location for a Maine vacation

Great house, and so quiet. Beautiful gardens, convenient to hiking, kayaking, and spending time with the dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Maine, and recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a retreat.

Beautiful home with great accommodations!

Our family had a wonderful week long stay! This home was so spacious, and we had plenty of room to relax at the end of the day. We were also impressed by how fully stocked it was, we had everything we needed and then some. Beds were comfortable, and the house was charming and cozy. This house is beautiful! We were very comfortable and it is within good distance to other towns and attractions. The owners have kept up the property very well.

The property was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen that we were able to make family meals in. Check-in and contact with the hosts was very easy. The house was very comfortable and spacious for our multi generational vacation. Beautiful garden. We loved the natural meadow. 10 minute drive to Camden, and 5 minute drive to Lincolnville Beach. We located for exploring the area.

The property is excellent! Absolutely beautiful and true to the listing. The entire family had a wonderful time. My grandchildren and dogs enjoyed the paths through the backyard pasture. The adults enjoyed the close proximity to Cellardoor Winery, which is a short walk down the street. The house is in close to several beaches, and downtown Camden and Rockland.

2024 Lincolnville stay

Extremely hot week but the house was very well equipped with fans. Nice front and back porches for sitting and having morning coffee and planning our day. An overall good experience.

Replenishment

Everything needful for a family vacation. The house was roomy, the beds were divinely comfortable, and being so close to beaches, hiked and birth Camden and Belfast was amazing. Owls at night, eagles overhead, a games room and places to curl up and read… this is a marvelous house with caring hosts.

What a wonderful stay. Just what we were hoping for! The hosts were super responsive even when a problem arose from the previous guests. The location and setting are wonderful. The house is comfortable and has everything we needed for two weeks. Love it. Thank you!

Lovely House in a Wonderful Area

The house is very sweet, located in a quiet neighborhood within a short drive of downtown Camden and Lincolnville center. While it's not equipped to do any serious cooking, we were able to make do with what was there, made use of the great restaurants in the area, and found the house otherwise very comfortable. The owners were very responsive.

Thank you so much for your review and I am so glad you had stay. I am curious what you would hav liked to see to make your kitchen cooking experience more enjoyable? When we are there we always cook full meals for our family and guests when we have them so we do have a gas stove, various pots and pans in many sizes, baking dishes, mixing bowls, knives, hand mixers, blenders, a full size cuisinart, a small size cuisinart, proably way too many utensils, and probably some items I am forgetting. It would be helpful for me to know if there are other appliances or cookwares needed that guests might like. In other years there are usually some salt pepper, condiments etc, but this year they can't be kept due to COVID - 19 concerns.

Much needed Family time and we could bring our dogs

This beautiful old farmhouse is just amazing so much space welcoming a really beautiful piece of property we truly enjoyed sitting on the front porch for coffee and on the back porch later in the day to watch the sunset. The bonus room was and awesome space for the two dogs to frolic together and we would not have to worry about them being in the main house it reminded all of us of what it must have been like to live in that era a really great place to spend time

Lovely location

The house was spacious but not luxurious by any stretch. The bed linens were sub par and offering 1 towel per adult for a 3 night stay was bad. Yes, there was a washer dryer but we didn’t go on vacation to do laundry. The location was quiet.

Lovely Home Near Camden

We had a wonderful two weeks at this home. The location worked well for our family—it is close to Camden, and just a short drive to the lake or to the Village of Lincolnville. We also enjoyed the proximity to hiking trails. We found the living spaces to be comfortable and had plenty of space to spread out. The house is well equipped and well kept—it has everything you will need, even beach towels! The only negative for us was that the beds are all doubles (I failed to notice that in the listing and I have a tall husband) and we found the mattresses uncomfortable for a long stay. Other than that, though, we really enjoyed our stay.

Dear Jennifer, Thank you for your kind review and if you come again you will find 2 new Queen beds. We have long wanted them and now 2 of the 3 rooms have Queens and the other a new double!

Quiet farmhouse true vibe

Our stay was nice. The one drawback was Maine ( as was the rest of the coast ) was experiencing a brutal heatwave. The house does not have A/C and even with fans it was insufferable. Had the weather been normal Maine weather it would have been perfect. I had my dog with me and ticks were very present. Make sure your dog is treated before arrival. Camden is just a short drive away as well as some small beaches and refreshing water play. The house has a large ample parking area for at least three vehicles.

A real gem

The house is just a few minutes from downtown Camden, and feels a million miles away. The lot has a nice meadow, sculptures, a play set. There is access to the Camden Hills trail system across the way, but we were beset by deer flies. My sister went out early and had wonderful vistas. I guess deer flies sleep in. The house is lovingly restored. There is special attention paid to flexible sleeping accommodations, nice appliances, and fun things for kids on rainy days (ping pong table, games, beach toys). The kitchen has a lot of utensils and cooking needs, a wonderful gas stove, so we were able to have a really nice family dinner party during a reunion. All over the house are nice touches: multiple box fans to keep things cool, beach towels, even binoculars. The house is very nicely decorated, so comfortable and cozy. The location allowed us to visit friend on Megunticook, Camden, but easily head up a bit to Belfast, and Lincolnville Beach (though we agreed with the owners - the Ducktrap Beach is much more interesting). Highly recommended for families.

Authentic rural farmhouse exceeded our expectations and made everyone happy in our large group.

The farmhouse was absolutely perfect for us: spacious private bedrooms with lovely rural views accommodated three couples; plus separate sleeping quarters for two families' kids in two rooms downstairs in a pull-out sofa and a day bed. The wonderful huge dining table accommodated 12 people easily, and on occasion 15 when we had visitors join us for meals. The kitchen was exceptionally well provided with cooking and serving ware for a crowd. (We didn't realize that the broiler was under the main oven at first :) All the bedrooms had ceiling fans and two window ventilation, so we did not suffer from heat.The game room was just separate enough that we could monitor the happily engaged kids without being intruded upon. There is a great outdoor play area for young kids, and table games perfect for kids and adults. The front porch was a delight: we sat out there rain or shine, singing and playing music. The flower beds were lovely, including an herb garden! It's on a low-traffic country road, with easy access to Megunticook Lake and wonderful lake swimming and kayaking. We picked plentiful wild blueberries up nearby Maiden's Cliff Rd. right off Youngtown Rd, on a ridge with beautiful views. Fantastic! There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, so for the large number of people we had, it took a bit of thoughtful cooperation, but it was fine. The special charm of this house, which felt informal, authentic and at home with the country setting, made us all happy.
