Cute studio in a quiet setting, just a short hop from town. Easy-going and helpful host made this a very pleasant experience for us. Highly recommended!

Nice location and space for a couple. Had everything we needed. The bathroom ceiling is an A frame and not ideal for taller people.Host was great and provided helpful suggestions

Colleen’s Vrbo off of Mirror Lake was the perfect spot for my wife and I to stay during our visit to Highlands, NC. It had everything we could need and plenty of advice/suggestions for things to do and places to eat. If we are ever coming back we will certainly look to see if it’s available.

Colleen’s VRBO was just what we needed and more. We truly lacked for nothing. The neighborhood was beautiful and provided an easy way to take a walk in the forest to the lake. It is so conveniently located to downtown which was much needed for a couple of Floridians trying to navigate mountain roads to attend wedding events. The gorgeous and very friendly cat keeping watch over Colleen’s lovely backyard garden terrace was such a welcome and unexpected “amenity” for two cat lovers. So grateful to have found this place for our once-in-a-lifetime trip to Highlands.

My wife and I enjoyed staying there, it was very nice and convenient to downtown Highlands. It has everything you need! We would love to stay there again!!The only this I would suggest is it need additional lighting in the bathroom at the mirror. Very difficult for my wife to put on make-up with the one light.

Mirror Lake is tough to beat for a stay in Highlands. It's very convenient to town and the surrounding area. The entry involves a flight of stairs, but everything you need is at the top. A comfortable bed and furnishings, kitchen bar with fridge, microwave, toaster and Keurig and small but practical bath provide cozy confines!

This was a nice little place to stay while visiting Highlands for the first time. It was just a couple of miles from main street, quite....even though it was the upstairs of the host's home and it had all the amenities that I needed. I would stay here again if visiting and would also recommend to others.

I would recommend this loft apartment in the Mirror Lake community of Highlands. Our host Colleen was super nice and we had a beautiful weekend celebrating a birthday. We found it was close to everything we wanted to do; hiking, shopping, and good food! Didn’t want to leave!!!!

Ideal Location Space

This studio apartment is ideally located in the coveted Mirror Lake neighborhood of Highlands. It is perfectly appointed and easy to walk to many hikes and to Town. You will love the quiet beautiful neighborhood and beautiful surroundings of this special WNC Town.

This apartment is adorable, comfortable, and centrally located to all that Higlands has to offer! The property is beautiful, with fragrant flower gardens in full bloom all around, and the fire pit and patio exactly as described/pictured. Wood provided too! The hosts are welcoming and communicated clearly. I absolutely loved the fully stocked coffee station with fresh creamer in the fridge! The only thing to note is the slope of the ceiling in the shower (which is gorgeously tiled). It was perfect for my height but my 6'7" husband had to duck a bit...but to be fair that happens to him a lot lol. Great stay, would recommend to friends and would love to stay again.

Truly excellent getaway spot for an individual or couple. Set in the beautiful neighborhood of Mirror Lake within the Town of Highlands, this place offers it all: comfortable, quiet, beautiful views with everything you need for a relaxing experience. You can walk to Town for great shopping or take a short drive to many hikes and well known waterfalls. Definitely would come back here!

Everything was as advertised. Small problem with getting TV to operate, but that was resolved. I do wonder why the TV is placed so that it cannot be watched from the living area or the bedroom. Only from the kitchen. Didn't come to Highlands to watch TV, but occasionally one wants to check something out. All in all we were very satisfied.

Spent two nights in the Highlands Studio apartment, and it far exceeded our expectations. Clean, thoughtfully laid out, well furnished, and simply charming. The wall decorations and hangings are eclectic and intriguing, particularly the masks over the window. Online photos are representative of the studio, but cannot fully capture the charm. Kudos to the owners for offering such a nice, cozy place!
