Recently Remodeled With New Appliances And Central Heating and Air. This quaint 1 bedroom/ 1 bath cottage apartment is nestled in the woods and the heart of downtown Highlands. This Studio apartment is less than a half mile from the center of Main Street and conveniently on Hwy 64 easily accessing Franklin road to national parks with waterfalls, lakes and hiking trails. The apartment comfortably sleeps 2 and offers all the expected comforts like cable TV and a well-appointed kitchen

Highlands long weekend

This sweet little apartment is perfectly situated to downtown Highlands and so much beautiful nature. And it struck me as the most reasonably priced thing in town! And dog friendly--thanks so much!

Quiet weekend cottage

This space was exactly what I was looking for in terms of a quiet cottage within walking distance to town. Only a small portion of the in-town walk was not paved, and it took less than 10 minutes to reach the restaurants/shops. The upstairs portion of the house was unoccupied, making it feel like I had the place to myself. Spacious bathroom, full kitchen, comfortable bed. Very pleased with this stay.

Nice return stay

Stayed here last year for several nights and returned this year for 2 weeks. Nice quiet apartment with all the amenities. We hope to return again next year!

Perfect stay in Highlands—every time!

We have stayed at Ali’s place many, many times over the years. It never fails to be the perfect spot! It’s a short walk to Main Street (tho no sidewalk) so location is terrific. Ali provides everything needed. The value for the dollar cannot be beat! We hope to return very soon! It’s our happy place!

Our Highlands happy place!

We’ve stayed at this darling studio walking distance from Main Street in Highlands many times. We always have a perfect stay! Ali is a great host and provides everything you could want or need. It’s a cozy and comfy place with a terrific location. Every time we leave, we start planning our next visit. A very special spot!

Perfect accommodations for a single or couple

Everything I needed the owner provided for their out of towners! The one room efficiency unit was comfortable, clean, and a great location near downtown Highlands. I would certainly recommend and will stay again if available.

Highlands

Clean and well kept Small TV and not easy to get the right channels. My fault but didn’t see directions on taking out the trash. Would stay again

Mostly a great stay.

Most of our needs were well anticipated and provided for. Some features were not advertised but should have been such as a full sized laundry room complete with washer, dryer, and supplies. The kitchen and bath were well supplied with incidentals. One thing that would have really been nice is a grill to cook steaks outside. On the minus side was the scary driveway access on a blind curve of a major highway with tall shrubs all the way to the edge of the road when leaving and the lack of visible drive markings when approaching the driveway. Caused turn arounds. Since we were there to relax, we watched movies and chilled. The tv was not watchable from the bed and the tv is too small to see from that distance. It is hard for a 6'2" man to relax in a love seat with no ottoman. A full sized sofa should be supplied. The presence of a tumbled down dwelling right beside the rooms was a little questionable. These comments are made in the spirit of things that could be improved to make our stay perfect and not to detract. A few changes would make a future stay more enjoyable.
