Great location for sightseeing in Tuscany. Stand-out pool is delightful and very refreshing in the hear. Hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Nearby restaurant is great value and was a bonus for our stay. I will note that the lack of AC was challenging in the extreme heat wave although I understand from the hosts that the temperature level was exceptional this year.

Great location for our stay in Tuscany

Plenty of room for our group of 9 people to enjoy. Check in was thorough and the property owners live next door. Lovely pool to enjoy during a hot day, and great views from the bedrooms.

Wonderful experience

The villa was in a beautiful location and there was plenty of room for our party of 6 adults. The private pool was absolutely amazing and we used it every day because it was so hot. The kitchen was well stocked and there's several dinning options a short walk away if you dont want to cook.

Lovely stay Strove!

We loved our stay, our hosts were very helpful with information and tips to make our excursions and our time in Strove and Tuscany great…one little disappointment when the closure of the pool happened earlier then specified at time of booking

Adventures in Tuscany

The property was beautiful and very safe. The pool was fabulous , the scenery breath taking and the hosts very friendly and welcoming people. Close to hiking trails with a pizzeria close by . A car is recommended with parking in a gated property .

Wonderful place for a family gathering

10 of us happily stayed at the Villa where each room had its own bathroom and all enjoyed time by the beautiful pool. It’s in a small village of Strove with short drives to Monteriggioni, Abaddia Isola, medium drives to Sienna, Volterra, and San Gimigiano and totally reasonable day trips to regions south of Sienna or north to Florence. View from the bedroom windows and back patio are simply lovely and the hosts were wonderful and so welcoming!

Love love loved it!

It was a wonderful villa with outstanding hosts, Emanuele and Alessandra. Each bedroom has a beautiful view you just can’t enough of and the pool was awesome.....4 girls in Tuscany could not have had a better time.....Make sure to sign up for the cooking class!

We felt so at home being away from home. Our host were most gracious and assisted with arranging a chef for a special birthday dinner and assisted with directions to towns to visit. This a perfect central location to visit surrounding cities like Florence and Siena and even a day trip to the coast. I cried when we had to all leave. Lasting memories of a life dream vacation. Would return in a heartbeat

Perfect

Emanuele and Alessandra were amazing hosts. The property is beautiful, the village is charming and the pool was a life saver as we were there during a heat wave. Perfect location for day trips. The small cafe and pizzeria was a great spot for morning coffee, quick lunch and a delicious dinner. Emanuele and Alessandra planned a perfect chefs dinner that was the perfect ending to our holiday. It was our anniversary and Alessandra made sure to add a few extra special touches for us. We highly recommend staying there.

Alessandra and Emanuele are outstanding, gracious and accomodating hosts. The villa is steeped in history. The grounds are lovely with amazing views and a beautiful pool area. Only negatives were exceptionally hard beds and very rough bed linens. We enjoyed an excelllent dinner in the villa cooked by Alessandra. Wifi needs improvement. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Perfect Tuscany Stay

This villa is a dream. You really feel like you’re in a Disney castle in the home and in the little village! Our hosts were so easy to communicate with and so patient with us as we arrived much later than planned. They even went to great lengths to try and help us find food upon arrival because our kids were starving. It’s a fantastic location if you plan to take day trips all over Tuscany. It was nice to be centrally located so we could head out to Florence, San Gimignano, Lucca, and Pisa and only have about an hour or a little over an hour drive to each place. I would definitely stay here again.

Strove is a dream

Strove is a tiny hamlet, but not short on charm. It’s beautiful! The views from the house are gorgeous. The house is open and airy. Enough space for our family of 9. The pool was private and for us only. Emmanuelle and Alessandra were wonderful and helpful and happy to share their knowledge of the area. We wished our would could have been longer!

Stove, Italy

We’ve recently returned from a wonderful week in Stove Nr Monteriggioni. The owners Emanuele & Alessandra made us feel very welcome throughout our stay & their trips & restaurant recommendations were excellent. The weather was hot so the fresh water pool got used every day & it was a favourite for all our inflatables or just chilling out. We would love to come back & explore the region more as the nearby villages are sleepy, it’s like going back in time. We would highly recommend this Villa to anyone as it’s location is just wonderful & the views of Tuscany breath taking.

A little piece of paradise with our family

From the time we checked in, our hosts Alessandra and Emanuele could not have been more friendly or helpful. They even had us follow them to the local grocery store so we wouldn’t get lost! The villa is very well equipped and in the perfect position for day trips around Tuscany. The pool area was beautifully maintained and we spent many happy hours swimming with our young grandchildren. Alessandra cooked us an amazing four course meal to celebrate our birthdays. The food was fantastic! Thank you Alessandra and Emanule for sharing your beautiful villa with us.

Awesome stay in Tuscany

Based on other great reviews, we decided to stay here and it couldn’t have been better. Emanuele and Alessandra were the most helpful and welcoming hosts. They booked us a cooking class and were there to help translate. The experience was top notch! We had an issue with a passport and they immediately came to help us which they did not need to do. The accommodations were great. We had 10 people and plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The town was so quaint and beautiful. There was also a gorgeous private pool with towels and floats for the kids! I would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back another time!!

Mom (55), my 3 kids (24,21,19) and son’s Gf stayed here. The hosts are personable, attentive and lovely people! This villa is charming! The pool is huge and the location is in an authentic village. The restaurant in walking distance is phenomenal. Bfast, lunch and dinner and it was packed on Sunday. Bring bug spray for mosquitoes and the wi-fi struggles. W/o car meant 127 for each cab ride one way anywhere bc cabs come from Siena. Uber works but it won’t find a car. We got lucky w a cab from Siena and we used them the entire time. Beautiful part of Tuscany. Highly recommend.

Family Fun in the Heart of Tuscany

We had a lovely stay at this charming villa. The views and grounds were stunning. The proximity to all of the Tuscan highlights can't be understated. For a family with young children, we appreciated that the villa was in a Hamlet with a restaurant/cafe and small playground nearby. The pool was lovely and the smells of roses and Jasmine greeted us every morning with the songbirds. We would encourage the hosts to consider more comfortable beds and linens - they need updating. We would also have appreciated more clarity on the availability of a crib (listed, but not available). The hosts also live in the same physical property but were quite discrete. Overall, we had a lovely family vacation and made lasting memories.

Beautiful location and pool - friendly, helpful hosts

Host were very friendly. Happy to give advice and sorted a broken fan quickly. They lived next door but were not intrusive. Lovely area with mix of historical sites, siena, ‘normal’ towns, vineyards, restaurants etc. enough to keep any group occupied. There is a road and short walk to pool which may put some off, no toilet or fridge near pool so lots of trips back and forth. Accommodation large, every room has en suite and easy to separate children from adults who prefer a lie in. Living area and kitchen are basic but functional. Only desk and standing fans throughout which was fine but some guests would prefer ceiling fans or AC. Overall I would recommend to others and we had a lovely time there. Thank you.

The best stay

The property was beautiful and just as listed. The setting is a 13th century stone house, with a patio, and in the summer, a pool. It is situated in the small village of Strove, near Monteriggioni and close to Siena. There is a lovely restaurant in the village, along with a small cafe/deli/grocery store, a short walk away. Our hosts, Emanuele and Allessandra, are the most wonderful people you’ll ever meet. They arranged a cooking class for us, which was such great fun, and Allessandra made aprons for each of us. One of our family sustained an injury in Rome, right before we arrived in Strove, and Emanuele and Allessandra took her to the hospital, where they knew the doctor, and translated for her. It is hard to know how to repay such kindness and generosity - so thank you once again! We highly recommend staying here, for a wonderful experience in the Tuscan countryside.

The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Beautiful large pool in a private garden, and spotlessly clean house (a perfectly renovated old building with lots of water pressure/showers etc).Located about 25 minutes to Siena, 60 to Firenze (and lots of other interesting places nearby). The hamlet has a really nice little restaurant/bar that all the locals use-very friendly, with excellent food.Highly recommended.

Peaceful, gorgeous, spacious home and grounds with the most warm and welcoming hosts. After the busy streets of Rome, coming to Strove felt like finally taking a deep breath. The hamlet is small and very cute, with locals walking their dogs early mornings to grab a cappuccino from the corner restaurant. The house is spacious and stayed cool during the heat of the day. The gardens were lovely. The private pool… was heavenly. This is the perfect get away house to relax and still be central enough to make trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, even Florence is not that far. The hosts, Emanuele and Alessandra were so sweet and happy to give recommendations. They helped us to set up a private cooking class our last night there, and directed us to some local favorite food spots, and even sent me pictures of the streets I needed to take to get the the Elsa River walk. I highly recommend this gem if you are looking a serene Tuscan experience.
