Welcome to OM Shanthi (trans: Peace). Om Shanthi is a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing vacation rental for those visitors seeking a quiet and peaceful dwelling in which to enjoy their time on the Outer Banks.

Our three bedroom/two bath beach home is one of the nicest condo rentals you will find on the OBX. We pride ourselves in providing the best furnishings, amenities, and artwork in this clean and well lit home! We keep our kitchen stocked with the basic tools and ingredients for cooking simple, as well as the basic need for laundry and bathing.

If you are seeking a party atmosphere, this is not it. There are other condominiums in Duck that cater to crowded swimming pools and strangers drunk in the hot tub,. Not judging, but Nantucket Village isn't that.

Chris is an amazing host! Communication was easy, fast, and clear. The community is very nice with easy access to the community dock. It was a pleasant surprise to be able to walk down and fish as well as enjoy the sunset views over the water with a cocktail each night. Other residents are extremely friendly and welcoming. Great place to stay!

The house was clean and exactly as shown in the listing. Oceanfront access about a 10 to 15 minute walk away from the house. Neighborhood has tennis courts, indoor pool, and lovely dock and gazebo to watch the sunset.

A perfect three days!

Great location with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a well furnished kitchen. Plus wifi and very nice obx views!

The property is very nice and within a 15 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to the sound. It is private and quiet. Any questions we had we contacted the owner and he responded quickly. A little repair work is needed on the screen door and a house number is needed for the front door.

Great stay!

My friend and I spent 4 lovely days in this comfortable and quiet home. Kitchen had everything we needed. Location was great. Owner was responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Wish we had stayed longer!

The home was even better than the pics. We felt so comfortable, it had more stocked supplies and equipment than we anticipated, it was quiet and the walks to beach sunrises and sound sunsets were easy. The host was terrific and we’d love to come back.

Beautiful property located just on the outskirt of the Town of Duck. A short walk down to the pier/dock sound side and not much of a longer walk to the oceanfront. The property offered plenty of parking and the most comfortable, welcoming home. We would definitely recommend this home when looking for a getaway in Duck/Kitty Hawk NC!

Great time, ideal location

Check in was simple and the place was very clean. A couple welcome gifts and even had a dinosaur themed bedroom for my son! This place was nestled perfectly in Southern Duck for comfortable commutes to so many OBX destinations!

This was a great little condo! Great communication with host and such an easy check in process. The only downside for us with small kids is that you do have to cross the main road to get to the beach, but everything about the condo itself was fantastic. We ended up driving down to the first public beach access in Corolla and parking there, which worked fine!

Duck family reunion

We had a great stay at this property. Excellent location. Comfortable beds, useful kitchen and cozy living space. Short walk to the beach. We really appreciated the flexibility to stay for 3 nights for a family reunion; vs the week that almost all other properties require. Thanks!

Multiple decks to catch the views

We had a great week in Duck and enjoyed our accomodations. The space was clean,comfortable and spacious. The outside areas were perfect for taking in the view with a good book. A short walk to the sound side where there is a dock and gazebo for great sunsets.

Om Shanti was the creative passion of their wife and mother, Connie, an artist and spiritual leader who died too early, but not before creating this unique space for reflection, relaxation, and recreation. Chris and Jesse lovingly maintain the property with tremendous care and take pride in making each guest's experience a special one. This is not simply a vacation rental; it is gift to share and be shared.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

There is no community on the Outer Banks like Duck and no property in Duck quite like Om Shanti. We sit on the top of a hill with views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound. The sunrise from our second story unit is absolutely awe inspiring. And the night sky is a sight to behold for a city dwelling star gazer!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

One of the nicest things about the location of OM Shanthi is it's situation. Weekend turn over days in the high season do mean a long line of traffic into Duck. Jaycrest Road is literally the first street once you enter the Town of Duck. This can save you a lot of frustration and boredom from sitting in traffic. You will be at the beach while others with rentals further into the Village are still in traffic.

Nantucket is a low-key kind of complex. Our indoor pool is a perfect temperature, with outdoor showers and sunbathing deck.
