Lovely 1 BR/ 2 BA condo in charming Duck, NC. This second-floor condo is perfect for couples or small families. It features a spacious living room w/ sleeper sofa, an updated, well-stocked kitchen and dining area, master bedroom with queen bed, two full baths, and a bunk bed alcove in the hallway.

Enjoy beautiful ocean views from the large deck! Oceanside: our beach access is on the property with no roads to cross. Just a short walk across the lawn and you're at the water.

Free WiFi, flat screen tv w/ cable, books, and games are provided.

Colony by the Sea is an easy 15 minute walk to the Village of Duck with restaurants, shopping, and a beautiful sound-side boardwalk! The community has an oceanfront pool (open seasonally, weather permitting) w/ outside showers, sundecks, a new play area, tennis courts, grills, and picnic tables. It also has a boardwalk/ stairs across the dunes and private community beach access.

Please note this is a second-floor condo in a building with no elevator. (Four half-flights of stairs) You have one reserved parking space directly next to the stairwell. (Additional parking is available in the west lot.)

NEW FOR 2024 - LINENS ARE PROVIDED. There is a laundry facility on the ground floor of the building. NOTE: BEDSPREADS AND PILLOWS ARE IN THE UNIT, BUT PLEASE USE YOUR DISCRETION AND BRING YOUR OWN BLANKETS AND PILLOWS IF YOU WISH.

Wonderful Spring time vacation!

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment’s location is ideal with its close access to the beach on one side and easy walk to the quaint village of Duck on the other. We took advantage of many of the available amenities: tennis courts, grill, laundry all met our needs. Our teens were disappointed but the poor condition of the basketball court.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfectly located close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping in duck. Comfortable accommodations and great communication with the host.

Great spot for a couple or small family

This condo has everything you need for a relaxed get away to Duck! We had all the comforts of home and the condo was well apportioned with everything we needed. Location is great and easy to get to everything while being oceanfront. Great stay!

Outer Banks Trip

Loved our stay here for our first trip to the outer banks! It was a very nice place. The owners were very fast to respond and helpful ! Would for sure stay here again

Duck apartment

the location is fantastic. Easy access to the beach and pool and Duck itself is very walkable. The living room kitchen area in the apartment is comfortably large. We very much enjoyed our stay in the area.

Great stay in Duck

Great beachfront location with community pool. Perfect size for our family of 4 (my husband & I and 2 young children). Cat was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions.

Charming!

We loved our time in the apartment. The apartment is set up really well for a couple or small family and has everything you need for a week at the beach. The property is conveniently steps from the beach (which while we were there, had a sandbar and calm, slow waves) and a very short drive or ~20 min walk from downtown Duck. The hosts are amazingly responsive and kind. Would love to go back someday!

Great location(close to town and a quick walk to the beach). Nicely equipped and and really nice balcony. The best part was the hosts. They responded quickly to my questions and concerns and were super friendly every time. Would stay again.

Location! Location! Location!

We loved our stay! Duck is adorable. Ocean views. Great pool. Beach access. Attentive and responsive hosts. They were truly wonderful. Condo is perfect! Cute and well equipped. Everything in walking distance. Easy drive to all the hot spot activities. Highly recommend!

Oceanfront Gem in Duck

We recently stayed for a long weekend and already want to come back! The condo is steps from the beach and walking distance to the heart of Duck with all of our favorite shops/restaurants. Jay & Cathy were wonderful hosts who responded promptly to any question.

Perfect close to the beach get away!

We loved the location - right at the beach with sunrise views off the deck and walking distance to town for shopping and dining or walks on the boardwalk along the sound. Appreciate the good communication of the hosts as well as not getting check in information right before check in time (that makes me nervous when traveling!). Clean with everything we needed for just the two of us.

Wonderful family beach day

My wife, kids and I had a wonderful day at this condo. The unit was extremely clean & comfortable and the owners made check in and check out super easy. The location of the condo couldn't have been better and the community has fantastic amenities. The pool was clean, the grounds were well maintained and the beach was not crowded. Will definitely stay in this unit or other units in this community again.

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was delightful, clean and kitchen had everything we needed including a list of places to eat and things to do. It was a quiet and relaxing place. Enjoyed the side-view and sounds of the waves from the porch. The condo is about 3-5 min walk from the beach. We enjoyed long beach walks and the boardwalk on the sound-side despite some rainy weather. Great location.

Fabulous!

We had an amazing stay. Perfectly sized for our family of 4. Everything we could possibly need was thoughtfully shared, even things we hadn't planned on - a blender, let's make frozen drinks!! Incredible. Really appreciated having two full bathrooms, with a tub option too. Spent lots of time on the balcony just listening to the waves, so relaxing. Ample games, books, movies for rainy weather. The beach access was so very perfect. Enjoyed lots of time in the pool too. The stay was everything we needed and made us fall in love with Duck! The arrival and departure process couldn't have been easier and the owners were so responsive!

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The condo had everything we needed. Family of 4 (kids ages 7 and 4). Plenty of room to stretch out and the bunk beds worked out very well. We loved having 2 bathrooms! The location is perfect, a very short walk to the beach and quick 15 minutes or so walk to the boardwalk. The pool offered a nice break from the beach when we needed it. The deck was high Adirondack chairs with an amazing view of the water! For a large complex it was pretty quiet. We will be back!

Anniversary Getaway

Enjoyed this little condo for a quick Anniversary getaway. The beach was wonderful as was the shell collecting. The condo was all we needed. Hate to bring up any negatives but the mattress left a lot to be desired, and the location of the Washer Dryer underneath the complex was not convenient for these old knees. However, duck NC is a great place to just get away and the comfort we did have at his condo was all we needed. thanks for making this available.

Good location, mediocre property.

Property owner was great, very responsive, and helpful. Bathrooms are very very old. Hallway shower enclosure was broken up and patched with glue, very ugly scene indeed. Bottom of the shower there was mold. Common laundry room was very dirty. Common bathroom near the pool was absolutely filthy and unbearable. They definitely didn't take care of the cleanliness of the common areas at all. If you are looking for just an okay apartment then it is okay. But it is not fancy at all. Pictures definitely look a lot more amazing than the property. But great host.
