The Gnome Home is 1 of 2 completely furnished, 400 sq ft studio apartments, with 125 sq ft of private, covered, outdoor living space that includes a two-person hot tub, electric BBQ, and outside seating. To "Make yourself at home!" the inside has live-edge touches to accentuate that woodsy feel and only 0.3 mi to quaint downtown Packwood with first-class coffee roaster/two craft breweries/restaurants and food trucks, 10 mi to Mt Rainier National Park, 19 mi to White Pass Ski Area & 48 mi to the crater side of Mt Saint Helen's and Windy Ridge Viewpoint. Packwood is in the heart of Gifford Pinchot National Forest & magically visited by elk that stop traffic as visitors leave their cars for photos.

We appreciated everything about our stay. Nice retreat for a couple while visiting the area. We would certainly come back if our travels ever bring us back to the area.

The place was everything we needed s as a base for exploring Mt Rainier NP. It was clean and the host was easy to work with. The hot tub and fire pit were awesome after a long day of hiking. Would definitely stay here again!

Property was clean and modern with all comforts and amenities provided. Spacious one room set-up with large bathroom and good laundry facilities. Hot tub was very welcome after long days hiking.

We absolutely loved this place!! It was so clean and comfortable! It had everything we needed and then some. It actually had a comfortable little couch, something we rarely find. Loved the hot tub and frequent sightings of deer and elk. We wish we had booked more nights. We will be back.

Great home

Great, new construction, comfy little apartment. Everything you need will be stocked. I especially enjoyed the hot tub. It is very close to Mount Rainier National Park

This place is cute. Perfect for 2 people! Super CLEAN! The owners are very responsive and kind. And the Kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal. The owners are very responsive and kind. I hope you appreciate it as much as we did!

Awesome & teriffic, had everything that could be needed. Hottub was perfect after a long day of hiking. Even the elk seemed to like hangin around there!

A great place to stay for exploring Rainier. It's small but perfect for a place to crash after a full day of exploring. The hot tub was nice and it's very quiet for a good nights rest. The bed could be a bit more comfortable, but that's a small complaint. I would stay again if I came back to the area.

Really great location for hiking the mountain. We saw an elk right off the patio! One item to note, the coffee maker is a kureg. So if you drink decaf you’ll need to bring your own pods. The hot tub worked great and the washer and dryer were a nice touch.

Allez-y: neuf et super propre

Le logement était exactement tel que décrit. Tout est neuf et les commodités sont nombreuses. Seuls points negatifs: -Pas de meuble pour ranger les vetements -Pas de garde manger Mais ce sont des details puisque le reste est extraordinaire.

Traveled to: Mexico, Italy, Germany, Nicaragua, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Vancouver Island, Victoria B.C., Belize, Aruba & many states in the US, including Hawaii & Alaska. Hosted exchange students for years (2 German, 2 Japanese, 2 Koreans, and 1 Colombian). Fred retired from teaching after 20 yrs & was a Realtor for 7. We owned Subway stores for 20 yrs in Portland, OR & currently retired in Packwood, WA where we manage 4 vacation rentals on adjacent properties. We love hosting family & friends . . . and keep on dancing!
