Single Story, Dog friendly ($200 nonrefundable fee) private home just a half-block from beach! This cozy 2 bedroom home features an updated kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a separate dining area with seating for six. The bedrooms share a full bath between them. Feel free to bring an extra friend since this home has a comfy queen sized sleeper sofa and cable TV in the living room, and a bonus futon (futon does not come with linens) in dining area.

Enjoy a meal under the covered patio, rinse off your feet under the outdoor shower after a trip to the beach, play with your dog in the fenced backyard, or take a break from the sun and watch TV in the living room! Washer/dryer included (in same room as dining and futon). Charcoal grill. Linens Included. Wi-Fi. No smoking.

Just right!

This property was perfect for our family and our budget. Hard to find something this close to the beach for this price. Place looked nicer in person and was very clean.

Christmas with Family

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spent time with children & grandchildren who live in Mt Pleasant. The only problem was at check in. I was never sent the lock box number so I was calling with no result. My son finally went to the office and found a different phone number that was able to help us.

Feels like home

Feels like a house/home. Outside needs some updating but being that close to the beach more than made up for it. I do wish they would spray for ants 🐜 in the yard but for the most, it was one of our better vacations

Perfectly non-spectacular vacation house

The house is great provided one doesn't have luxury expectations my family of five (kids aged 6, 4 and 1) fit snugly into a house that was perfectly functional and with easy beach access away from busy palm boulevard There were many ants in the driveway but it was not a big deal The outdoor shower is in the backyard and it would help if there were direct access to the house without walking over sand/dirt

Wonderful week at the beach

Nostalgia with this 4 week stay (except was delayed 5 days by hurricane Debby). Yard could use some work, but good to have fence in back yard for dog walking. Lots of small ants in front yard. Thanks for this time on IOP.

Perfect cottage

We didn’t need big space but we needed a fenced in yard and having a second bedroom allowed us to have our grandchildren stop by and stay over one night. The furniture was comfortable and the unit was very clean.

This is a rare find! Location is Fabulous!

My adult daughter, our dogs, and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and plan to do so again! This quaint house is an easy walk to the beach (walk a half block and cross Palm to get on the boardwalk). Outdoor shower is nice upon return from the beach. The pups loved the fenced back yard. Because of the dogs (and wanting to keep the place tidy), we mostly stayed in the concrete floored "dining" room which is also the laundry room. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were also nice - and joined by the one bathroom - and were very quiet. Check in and out was seamless. We didn't have any maintenance requests so thankfully I can't comment on that. The house next door is currently listed for $3.4M. Location location location! Great stay!

House could be improved

Great location but the house could be improved. HVAC makes constant rattling noise. No bathroom mirror by sink. Exposed water heater, washer, dryer are in the only room with a table. "Outside only access" to backyard could easily be fixed by incorporating the part of carport with the outside door.

Simple and just right

Smooth late checkin and the propert was clean and ready for us. This house has an amazing location for beach access - literally a half block to the access path. The house is quite simple, and the pictures show that well, so you won’t be surprised. It was just my wife and me and our dog, so it was ample space. Kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking needs. If you’re looking for small, cozy and simple this would be a great choice.

We need a vacation!

Great location. Peace and quiet close to nice beach access and beach. House was clean as far as someone went through it and did the basic Kitchen and bathroom cleaning. Very disappointed with the overall condition of the house. Outside shower and fenced yard for dog? Yard was dirt and full of active rodent tunnels. Can't shower or rinse off my pup and walk through dirt. The exposed tree roots and drop off of driveway were definite ankle breakers. The exterior windows were full of black dirt that needed to get cleaned to open. The ant infestation on the driveway and yard was the worst I had ever seen. The mosquitos in the storage area and carport were thick and hungry. The A/C needs a service call as squealing fans and water swirling around are not normal. The dryer vent situation needs to be rethought. Too much flexible duct and the vent is buried. We made the best of it and I am relaying some issues that are not weekly cleaning issues, but more general upkeep. We loved the location, hoping these comments will be helpful in the future.

Best location!

Reviewer Comments: The house itself was immaculate and the location was amazing- however, there were ants everywhere outside to the point we could not be outside at all and when we checked in they were even coming inside at one point. We called the after hours line and let them know what was happening and they said that they couldn't do anything because it was not considered an emergency. We were pretty upset about it and ended up just going to buy ant spray to try to get it taken care of ourselves. The next day someone did come and spray for us, and the house itself was immaculate but we were just frustrated with the ants. The location was AMAZING and could not be beat! The house was stocked with everything we needed to cook, too. The ants were obviously out of anyone's control, it was just how the after hours company handled it that upset us. We will defiantly book through Island Realty again!

Great Little Beach Bungalow

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This spot was a perfect place for a quick getaway. It was just my husband and myself and found the place clean and comfy. Location can't be beat and there was plenty of places to store things. One other thing that we loved was that since it is an older home, there were no steps to navigate. If you have an elderly person (or pet) this is really a treat! Only issue was when we turned the dishwasher on the last day, there was a huge leak/issue and water was pouring onto the floor. I was able to call maintenance and they said they would respond, but since we were on our way out I can't comment on if the issue was fixed. I would for sure stay here again, so nice you can bring your pup. There are two home also with construction. Noise was not an issue, but there were several delivery trucks parked on the side of the road and could make it hard to navigate in and out if you had multiple cars. THese are all minimal things and I would still recommend to anyone looking for a well maintained affordable property which also accepts pets!

Weekend get away cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was almost exactly as described. The only surprise was that there is no access to the back yard from the house. You have to walk around the side of the house to get access. It had rained prior to our arrival so the paths to the yard was kinda muddy. It's a cute cottage with all maintained furnishings. It is only 1 block walk to the public beach access path. The street is quiet & not busy so no trouble getting into or out of driveway. There is a Harris Teeter grocery only about 2 miles up the road. We enjoyed a new restaurant, Islander 71 Beach House. It was very good. We went into Charleston Sunday. Only a short drive. Friday night's traffic was fine for us however, Saturday's traffic into the island for our friends was heavy. Sunday was no problem when going to Charleston. We'll be back & will definitely look into renting this home again. I also liked the coded entry. No keys to worry about!

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the home was the right size for my family, it was in very run down condition. While the sofas and beds were good, it is in need of an interior paint job. The lamp shade in the bedroom to the left was soiled and there was no bedspread. The shower walls were in need of cleaning, mold on the tile. The mirror in the bath was not sufficient to fix your hair. The remote in the bedroom to the right was filthy and sticky. No bedspread and there were chunks out of the blinds. Carpeting needs replacing in the entire house. There were ants all over the front walk and the back. The kitchen was sufficient but the pots and pans were dirty. I was very disappointed in the fact that Island Reality would allow them to rent in this condition. We are really happy with you all but I believe you need to reassess this home for rental purposes. Thanks for all of your help and support and maintenance did a great job at replacing our cable box.
