A beautiful setting!
The home was very clean and just what we needed: comfy beds, a full kitchen, a hot shower, and it was very clean!! The deck is huge and AMAZING!! We enjoyed sitting out there to eat our meals. We enjoyed walking along the path down by the lake. It was a great space to get out and exercise. The owner was very friendly and answered all of my inquiries promptly. She was also very gracious with her pet policy.
I did misunderstand a couple of things in the advertisement. When I read "MIL" apartment, I didn't realize I was renting out someone's main home. I thought that we were staying in a guest house on the property of a main home. In the end, it didn't matter, and it was a great place to stay for what we needed.
I also misinterpreted "private lake beach". My brain thought that it was within walking distance of the home and we were excited to walk our dog along the lake and access the beach during our stay. To access the walking path along the lake, we had to drive and park closer to the lake. It would not be an easy walk from the home, especially to return from the lake as it's up a steep hill!
Overall, it is a beautiful setting and a clean space. Even though this home is quickly accessible to the city, when you are at this home, especially sitting on the deck, you feel as if you are away from it all!!
