The fenced in backyard was great for our dog. There was plenty of parking and the property was pretty centrally located to everything we needed and wanted to do.I feel the cleaning could have been a little more thorough, but otherwise, this was a very nice stay.

We had a concert to attend at Interlochen and needed to travel with our dogs. This house was similar to my own home and very comfortable. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and not much traffic, so it was easy for us to walk our dogs each day. The backyard was also fenced in, so we could safely let the dogs off leash to run around the yard. The Cherry House also had a washer & dryer available and a modern kitchen. Our pups remained comfortable in the air conditioning, while we attended our concert nearby. We are responsible pet owners and clean up after our dogs in the yard and covered their furniture, as we do our own, with flat sheets we brought from home to keep the dog hair and dirt off their furniture. We appreciate a place willing to allow us to bring our 4 legged family members.

3 nice Rooms, great backyard

Great place to stay. Enjoyed the backyard and kitchen especially. Loved having a peaceful place to relax!

This rental is good if you are truly just looking for a place to sleep, eat, and bring a pet. It covers the basics. However…Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the property was very poor. Upon arrival, the bathmats in the bathroom were soaking wet, the towel bar fell off immediately when drying hands, a bouquet of dry, dead & dusty flowers on the counter, soap scum all over the shower…I could go on. While I wasn’t expecting a very grand or boujee VRBO experience, this property would greatly benefit from extra TLC. Everything squeaked and creaked, a subtle smell of mold or mildew would waft around, and the film of grime on everything made it a bit ickier than expected.Area of concern: When we arrived, we opened what we thought was a closet door in the laundry room to store our cooler bags. Upon opening, we realized it was the water heater, but we noticed an old bathroom towel with what looked like dried blood or something to that effect, scrunched up on the floor. It had mold on it too, so one could assume it’s been there for a while. Super concerning and very gross to come across this.Communication: The property owners communication was good. Highly responsive.Price: Overpriced, in my opinion, especially given the overall quality of the property and the area it’s in/neighborhood vibe. At this price point, I didn’t expect an immaculate property, but I think it’s fair to have expected something of more decent quality and certainly not find a bloody towel.Overa

Love the Cherry House

What a perfect little house. We just returned from staying at the Cherry House. It was perfect getaway for my husband and I and our small dog. Our dog loved the fenced in backyard. It was a great place to sit back and relax. The home was so comfortable and clean. We will definitely return again. A great location to all of the fun in Traverse City.

The property was listed as smoke-free but had a very strong odor of old cigarette smoke and mustiness. There were mouse droppings in some kitchen drawers. The front storm door did not close properly. Overall, a huge disappointment.
