ON THE RIM OF THE CANYON! Central heat and air. Experience the grandeur of Sunday Canyon from the comfort of this beautiful, vintage home. Listen to the coyotes howl. Watch amazing cloud formations. Enjoy the night sky with an ocean of constellations or spectacular thunderstorms. This home provides some of the absolute best views of Sunday Canyon. It has been a place of artistic inspiration, and now let it inspire you as well. Sunday Canyon is next to Palo Duro State Park, where you can zipline, horseback ride, picnic, hike and shop. Summer offers the musical "Texas" in the outdoor amphitheater.
13 miles from the city of Canyon. 26 miles from Amarillo. Lots of restaurants and shopping, including antique stores. The Panhandle Plains Museum is a must-see!
Additional sleeping arrangements include one portacrib/pack n play, one couch and two air mattresses.

You will not be disappointed in the unobstructed views of Sunday Canyon! The deck provides comfortable seating to enjoy the amazing view. House was clean and well equipped for a memorable stay. The garage was a huge plus. Communication with host was excellent.

Beautiful view, excellent climbing slope, art all around, comfortable, cozy, everything working, wonderful deck for the view. Be sure to read the guest book and check the entry on July 23 2026 for ZB’s best path down the hill and poem about her stay.

Our stay at this canyon-side house was unforgettable. Waking up to sweeping views of Palo Duro Canyon, sipping coffee on the deck as the sun painted the rock formations gold—pure magic. The home was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located for visiting the park. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!I suggest waking early and watch the sunrise each morning. You won’t likely find a better sunrise than this one.

This property was absolutely as advertised - an incredible view of the canyon, just minutes from Palo Duro State Park and the city of Canyon. We loved our short stay here - it had plenty of room, everything we needed, and some fun history to unpack as well! We would absolutely recommend this house for a fun family getaway!

My first time seeing the Palo Duro Canyon. This home had the most amazing views! Pictures do not do it justice! Home was clean and spacious. The only thing future guest might want to do is bring pillows from home. Pillows upstairs were flat. I’m a pillow snob so I always bring my own. Lol.

The description of the the 'view' did not lie. Absolutely amazing! Host was wonderful. House was like stepping back into my childhood. Very nostalgic. Beautiful antiques and art. Beds comfortable.

The views from the back porch are simply stunning. We spent every morning watching the sunrise over the canyon. The house has beautiful, original paintings that are so appropriate to the house. Everything was as described, in clean and working condition. If we ever come back to this area, we’ll definitely stay again. Thanks!

Spectacular views of Palo Duro

We had a very nice stay. The house was stock full of everything you would need while vacationing and was clean, comfortable, cozy and had just enough space for my family of 5 and my brother's family of 3 but what made it super special was stepping outside to stunning views of Palo Duro canyon!! You can't beat those views just spectacular!

Place was perfect. Better than we could have imagined. Loved the way the place was kept along with the ping pong table in the garage. That kept us busy. Then the views were amazing. Enjoyed everyone morning out there with some coffee.

Relaxing home

We enjoyed our stay Casa Del Sol. The view of Sunday Canyon was spectacular. The house was very welcoming, loved all the artworks. My husband enjoyed looking at the wildlife with the binoculars (wild hogs in the canyon).

Beautiful, Iconic Location and House

This is a must-stay location in the Palo Duro area. The house is iconic and the views are spectacular. The original artwork and the decor in the house was an added plus. The facilities were perfect and the host was very helpful. I wish we had more time to stay. We will definitely plan on staying here again when we're in the area. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us!

The manager was helpful with ideas on places to go and visit. Palo Duro is a short drive away. Just absolutely lovely

Beautiful and comfortable

Beautiful canyon views and very well equipped home. We enjoyed our stay and were quite satisfied with the location and the property itself. Barbara was very prompt with responses to our messages to her.

Our stay was great! The view is fantastic. Bed was comfortable, house was clean. We had a couple of small mishaps. The garage door wouldn’t open and dishwasher was still loaded from previous guests. Want to give a heads up if you’re physically challenged. Lots of stairs to climb to get downstairs where the living room and kitchen is. We’re elderly it was difficult to carry luggage up & down the stairs. Beautiful place to spend peaceful and relaxing days!

Wow Factor

The views were stunning. The pictures couldnt possibly do it justice. The home was nice, clean and well kept overlooking the canyon. We are already planning our next trip back.

Terrific getaway

The views from this property are incredible. We just sat on the outside deck and stared at the canyon for hours. The house also contained a lot of beautiful paintings. We were very comfortable, and I enjoyed playing the piano. Overall, it was a great stay.
