Situated along beautiful Mill Brook, this rustic mountain retreat offers the perfect balance of convenience and outdoor adventure. Spend your days skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, or exploring the charming villages of Waitsfield and Warren, then return to the cabin to relax by the river and enjoy a campfire under the stars.

The cabin comfortably sleeps families, hikers, skiers, and small groups with a full-size bed, bunk bed, twin bed, and pull-out sofa. Strong Wi-Fi, off-street parking, and a fully equipped kitchen make it easy to settle in and feel at home.

One of the property's most unique features is the private path leading down to Mill Brook. Follow the solar-lit walkway to the riverfront fire pit, where you can unwind beside the water and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the brook.

Very cute, cozy, rustic cabin just as expected. Stayed here as a family of four while skiing Sugarbush. it was perfect for us. The location and setting were both ideal.

This rental is a vey charming property. Just what we were looking for as an "overflow" habitat while visiting family at their Golf Course Road home. The back yard woodsy view and chairs by the brook couldn't have been a nicer spot for morning coffee and the smaller kitchen was perfect. Plenty of room in the fridge; plenty of room on the stove. Our cat loved the experience. She seemed to feel very secure in a smaller space and having the outdoors at-the-ready to explore with her made the visit very special.

We had a wonderful time at our place, which was perfectly situated between Mad River and Sugarbush. Outback, directly behind the house, was a beautiful running creek with chairs and a fire pit. Across the street is the blue cross country Trail. Our host was very responsive to the different issues that arose and took care of them very promptly. We appreciate Robin our host for her communication and quick responses. I highly recommend it for skiing and enjoying both mad River and Sugarbush in the towns of Wakefield and Warren!

We've spent years enjoying everything the Mad River Valley has to offer—from skiing at Sugarbush and Mad River Glen to hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and exploring the area's incredible natural beauty. We purchased this cabin because we fell in love with its location, its character, and the peaceful setting along Mill Brook.

As hosts, our goal is simple: provide a clean, comfortable, and affordable place where guests can relax, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors. While the cabin is rustic and full of charm, it's also a great basecamp for adventure, whether you're here to ski, hike, bike, explore the mountains, or simply unwind by the river.

We're always happy to share recommendations for our favorite hiking trails, swimming holes, restaurants, breweries, scenic drives, and local hidden gems. We hope you'll enjoy the Mad River Valley as much as we do and create some wonderful memories during your stay.

Within minutes, you can be skiing at Sugarbush or Mad River Glen, hiking on the Long Trail, mountain biking local trails, or exploring the many swimming holes throughout the Mad River Valley.

What we love most is the combination of convenience and nature. Downtown Waitsfield is just a few minutes away, offering great restaurants, local shops, farmers markets, and breweries, yet the cabin itself sits along Mill Brook, where you can relax by the water and enjoy the peaceful mountain setting.

The Mad River Valley has a unique character that feels authentic Vermont—independent ski areas, covered bridges, winding country roads, mountain views, and a strong sense of community. Whether you're visiting for skiing, fall foliage, summer adventures, or simply a quiet getaway, there's always something to explore nearby.

For us, it's the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and classic Vermont charm.

Enjoy wood-fired pizza at American Flatbread, tacos and margaritas at Mad Taco, or a craft beer at Lawson's Finest Liquids—all just minutes away. Mountain bikers will love the extensive trail networks throughout the valley, including the trails around Blueberry Lake, one of Vermont's premier riding destinations.

The cabin itself is cozy, rustic, and full of Vermont character. It's not a luxury property, but it is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a mountain getaway. Whether you're here to ski, hike, bike, paddle, swim, explore the Long Trail, or simply unwind in nature, the cabin serves as a perfect basecamp for experiencing the Mad River Valley.
