Welcome to one of Rosario's most charming and historic homes. Located just steps from the marina, you'll enjoy easy access to moorage, seasonal kayak rentals, and whale-watching tours right outside your door.

Take in sweeping water views from the hot tub, relax in the cozy window seats, or spend your days exploring the area's renowned hiking trails, nearby lakes, and Moran State Park, all just a five-minute drive away. The home is also ideally situated next to Rosario Village Resort, where guests can enjoy additional seasonal amenities, including the Harbor Bar & Grill (open Memorial Day weekend through mid-September) and the outdoor swimming pool.

The upper level features two comfortable bedrooms and a full bathroom. On the main floor, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a welcoming living room with a gas fireplace, stunning water views, and a four-season sunroom perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

Additional sleeping accommodations include a sleeper sofa in the living room and a fold-down daybed in the sunroom. Families traveling with young children will also appreciate the provided Pack 'n Play.

After a day of island adventures, unwind in the private hot tub and watch boats drift across the bay as the sun sets over Rosario.

Our stay at the Newhall House was better than expected. Our host Kristin was very kind to allow us an early check in. The photos do not do the house justice. The house is extremely charming and has everything you need for a perfect stay. We appreciated the proximity to all the attractions we love. The Hudson Grill was so good we went twice. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Location was amazingHouse was charming and views from the windows were breathtaking Access to pool and marina was excellent Close to Moran state parkWell stocked kitchen. Easily cooked meals here with all the kitchen accessories they had.Whale watching tour access was amazing. Saw 2 humpbacks and 6 orcas. Lots of wildlife.

Perfect for a small family

This house was everything we dreamed of and more. Perfect size and location for a family of four with two younger kids. Close proximity to all of our favorite activities and restaurants on Orcas. It was easy to access Rosario’s amenities through the property’s membership. The house itself was clean and quiet, while the view was as-advertised.

Great house great host

The 1888 house is charming and beautiful. Kristen had the house ready and warm for us when we arrived, and was quick to answer any small questions we had during our stay. We all agree that next time we go to Orcas we will try to book this house again!

Perfectly cozy stay in a beautiful historic Rosario home

Our family of 5 adults (3 generations) had a lovely winter stay in the perfect cottage. The view was unparalleled, the furniture and beds cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen extremely well equipped. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. Smart TV has all the apps for watching movies. We would love to come back.

Spectacular Stay at The Newhall House

My friend, dog and I had such a wonderful stay at The Newhall House in Eastsound. Kristen was an incredible host and accomodated our every need. Communication was fantastic. Lots of wonderful amenities. Very stocked kitchen. And, the views are just stunning. I cannot wait to return and keep exploring. I would be glad to stay with Kristen again.

What an awesome property

Kristen was an excellent communicator. Let us check in early and leave late. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. The house was immaculate and location was quiet and peaceful with an amazing view. Hot-tub was clean and pristine. We brought our dog and she loved the big open field at Rosario across the street. Would defintely stay here again!!

Beautiful home for family getaway

It was our first trip to Orcas and we couldn't have picked a better house for our family stay. The house is beautiful and perfectly decorated. We always cook dinner at our VRBO and this was the best kitchen we've ever had. Everything we needed was there. It was a little rainy and chilly and the fireplace was awesome to sit by with a glass of wine after our afternoon hike. We even got to see otters run out of the side yard and into the lagoon. We will definitely be back on Orcas in the future and will be staying at Newhall House.

Couple Get Away

The location was amazing. We loved the views and the coziness of the home. The hot tub was lovely. I would say this is a fantastic home for a family, but not two couples. Having a little fenced yard made it easy to sit out there with our dog. The location was great for taking hikes, kayaking, and getting to town. Communication with the owner was fast and we had no issues. The kitchen is well stocked, but just be aware there is no dishwasher (We knew this before going). The reason why I gave a 4 for cleanliness is because there were dust bunnies in drawers and cobwebs in places. Not a big deal, just didn't warrant a 5. I would have rather given a 4.5. We will definitely be back.

Established in 1888, Rosario is steeped in history, with every corner telling a story and every view shaped by generations. A short stroll to the marina means you can fly in from Lake Union or Seattle, or even moor your boat just steps from the home. Adventure is at your doorstep: whale watching, kayaking, and exploring the water require no long trek, while the views and natural surroundings are truly unforgettable. By night, the air is filled with the barking of sea lions and the song of toads, and during the day, you might even spot a deer nibbling on apples. The breathtaking water views and occasional springtime rainbows may even make you a believer in leprechauns.

For those seeking pure relaxation, soak in the private hot tub overlooking the water, curl up with a book by the fireplace, or enjoy the window seat with a view. If you’re up for some activity close to home, gather friends and family for yard games on the well-kept lawn, or take a dip in the pool and grab a bite from the Harbor Bar & Grill.
