Hi William - thank you for your feedback. We certainly wish you would have reached out with these questions and concerns during your stay, as we would have been happy to address them and make your stay more comfortable. We did receive one message from you regarding the our check-out procedures, although we weren’t entirely clear on the concern beyond your suggestion that we change our check-out instructions. Our check-out guidelines are intended to help ensure the home is ready for the next guest, and we do ask guests to follow those instructions. We can assure you that the dishes are inspected as part of our preparation of the home before each guest arrival. The dishwasher is also less than three months old and, to our knowledge, has been working properly. Had we known you were experiencing an issue with it, we would have been happy to troubleshoot it during your stay. There are also baking dishes provided in the drawer beneath the oven, and we could have easily directed you to them had you reached out. We apologize if the trash and recycling instructions were unclear. Your arrival happened to fall on trash collection day, which is why the trash bin was at the street. Both outdoor bins also have a piece of wood in the bottom to keep them from blowing away during the strong winds we occasionally experience along the North Shore. As for the rooster, that was an unexpected one! He had apparently escaped from a nearby property. Had we known he was visiting and disturbing your mornings, we could have contacted his owner and helped get him home sooner. We genuinely want our guests to have a wonderful stay and are always just a message or phone call away. We encourage guests to reach out while they are here whenever something doesn’t seem right or they have a question, we’re usually able to provide an answer or solution very quickly.
