Kunea Place rests on three-quarters of an acre of beautifully landscaped property, with a private pool and tennis court access. The home sleeps eight guests and has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room, a large renovated and fully equipped kitchen, indoor/outdoor dining areas and barbeque.

All of the rooms at Kunea face out over the pool, tennis court and the lush landscaped property. There are also views of the West Maui Mountains and the ocean in the background. The property has ample amenities and gardens. Activities include swimming, tennis, croquet, . Or you can choose to just practice your golf swing, throw the football around or simply lie by the pool under the palm trees.
WE HAVE A 100 day CANCELATION POLICY THAT IS REFUNDABLE IF WE CAN REBOOK.

Minutes from Baby Beach, Paia, Kanaha, Sugar Cove, Kahului. In terms of location you cannot find anything better. Kunea Place is a three-minute walk to Baby Beach and minutes away from gorgeous and accessible beaches for surfing and windsurfing. A four-minute drive (or a 20-minute walk along the beach) takes you into Paia, which as you may know is a fantastic original plantation village. Today it's a very cool surfer town filled with restaurants, boutiques, yoga studios, and the best health food store on Maui. When you decide to dine out you can enjoy any one of the delicious nearby restaurants. We have a 100 day cancellation Because the home sleeps 8 if we re-book we refund the funds.
We are going to offer a free massage from the best on Maui for all new bookings of 5 days or more and she will be available for added people who want more at her cost listed in the welcome folder. Mahalo

We spent 10 days here and totally enjoyed our stay. The accommodations are perfect - plenty of room, clean, and well stocked. The location is its greatest attribute being totally private on 3/4 acre, yet very close to many of the amenities of Maui - Baby Beach, shopping in Paia. And the rental fee is a bargain considering there are 4 bedrooms with sleeping for 8 persons close to the center of Maui. WE WILL BE BACK! Thank You - Dennis.

The house was a great solution for kids to play and enjoy the day while the parents worked. The pool is amazing, and some toys were provided. The tennis/pickleball court was used heavily and greatly appreciated. Great location, central to our friends and family in Makawao, Haiku, and Paia, and just far enough away from the airport's take-off pattern to not be too disruptive.The house could use some TLC, and the amenities need refinement, but the location and grounds made up for it. A five-minute walk to Baby Beach. It would be five stars if additional attention were paid to refining the dishes, ensuring all lights work, using coffee filters that actually fit the coffee maker, etc.One disappointing aspect was that many of the rooms were spacious but had only double or queen beds. A king bed would have been greatly appreciated.

Aloha the kitchen had always gotten great reviews well equipped and all glasses and dishes always replldaced when needed . All our guests have commented in the past reviews . the main house has a king the end room a king the little room has a built in double and could never fir a king the middle room has a queen and queen sleeper and often sleeps 3-4 guests and often we have a pak an Play for babies and todlers and that is where they put it so a king would limit that room to guest accomadations . We has A 25 year storm Just before guest arrvied and we had booked off repairs and he contacted me at 5 in the morning and needed to know if he could come the next . In 12 years we have never had that happen . I woke up my cleaning staff to see if we could help him and we did . Then he texted me wanting and early check and later a late check out so we did both for him. The prior guests must have run our of coffee filters and bought the wrong size . All he had to do is text me and we would have gotten hiem the right size in an hour. .The proir guests just bought new ones but wrong size. We did not know. He also asked because of a death in the family if 3 family members living here could visit the property because the the death. We normally cant do that maiu;county rules but we said ok . Im surprised with his review after everything we did to accommodate all his needs . There are so many lights and lamps in each room its hard for me to even see how he noticed any burnec out and all

The host addressed questions immediately. It was a pleasure renting from them. The house was wonderful and everyone had their personal space in the individual bedrooms. Wonderful views and the pool was perfect with all the amenities needed. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay! Very comfortable home for 5 adults. We loved all the windows opening up to the pool from each room. Baby beach in short walking distance and chairs provided. All kinds of float items available for pool and beach. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare our own meals. Dennis was available for any questions. Only recommendation would be to update the owner book and remove old/outdated info.

Our family of 7 adults enjoyed every minute of our stay here! It had absolutely everything we needed. More importantly, our whole family agreed the set up of having a well appointed kitchen right off the pool entrance, and separate entrances to each of our bedrooms, and the ability to enjoy our meals poolside each day provided a perfect private “compound” feel that really enhanced our vacation. We much preferred staying on this side of the island and easily driving to hikes and activities versus staying in the thick of all the tourist activity. Host very responsive to the couple of questions we had. Highly recommended for groups of 5 - 8.

We loved everything about this stay. Our host Dennis was attentive, going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The home was clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. At first we were worried about lack of air conditioning, but it wasn’t a problem at all. My family loved the pool and played with all the pool toys (grown children—hahaha) as well as using the tennis court. We used the grill and ate outdoors every day. We will be back.

This house is in a great location, walking distance to lovely beaches where we swam, snorkeled, and saw dozens of turtles. It has a beautiful kitchen well equipped to cook for yourself. The pool is huge, although it is deep, so not really suitable for small kids. Great for a group of adults. It also has a large beautifully kept yard, as well as a tennis/pickleball court which we took advantage of too. Dennis was a super host, very accommodating when we needed to change our plans a bit. The couple of times we had problems with appliances, were dealt with before we even got back from our day trip! Can’t say enough good things about our house, host and trip in general, would recommend this property anytime!

We come to May a lot and this is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. The location is perfect- just a couple blocks from some of the best beaches on the island. The house is centered around a wonderful large pool that’s beautifully landscaped; we ate every meal around it and swam in it throughout the day. The tennis court is excellent and there are lots of rackets and balls so you don’t have to bring your own. We loved the place and are already planning to come back.

We loved the location. It allowed us to go in any direction in a reasonable amount of time which was the goal. We didn't want to be locked in to a resort location or beach, we wanted to explore as much as possible. The home was perfect for 4 couples! A room with outside entrance for each couple yet great community space pool side. The kitchen was well stocked and roomy for prepping large meals. The pool was a perfect end to each day with beautiful views morning and night! We also really appreciated all the pool toys and various water sport items that are complementary with the property. We didn't take advantage of the courts only because we were too busy. Baby beach was an easy, 5-10 minute walk from the house so we felt like we got a great location without the cost of a beachside home.The only reason I couldn't give the overall experience a 5 was the comfort of the beds. If the beds were upgraded, this would have most definitely been a 5 star experience overall.Our Host Dennis was super responsive which was appreciated when your trying to organize a trip for 8 people.

The house has the perfect location. The pool and access to baby beach is exactly what we wanted. The house is in desperate need of painting. A few issues like no hot water, some windows inoperable, some window shades don’t offer privacy, the bathroom fan in 2nd bedroom was inoperative. The host was super responsive delivering us a NEW baby crib and beach chairs! Super helpful!!

Aloha we checked out the fan in the room it works he just didn't know where the switch was We can't find anything wrong with hot water every room has hot water He might not have noticed but the house is partially painted but we didn't have time to finish but we will as soon as we have next opening We can't find any windows that don't open The guest new he could contact me all the time because he did so and never once addressed an issue I have his text and he said everything was great I wish he would have said something The switch for the fan in the room he could not get to work is not next to the other switches it has it's own switch A call or text would have solved everything It takes a few minutes for hot water to reach the far room it's a distance away But we checked all the rooms all have hot water

Stayed with a group including kids and grandparents. Loved the place, great jumping off location for the many activities in Maui. The pool, tennis/pickleball court, and outdoor dining area were the highlights! Communication with Dennis was great, my daughter left a cherished stuffed animal in her bed sheets and Dennis arranged to have it shipped to us. Would definitely stay again.

Great location

Kitchen has everything you need for cooking family meals. Lots of pool towels and toys for the kid's. The grounds are beautiful The setup for each of the rooms allowed for individual privacy. Walking distance to the beach.This home was very roomy for our family of seven.

Maui Paradise

House and property is beautiful, better than the photos. Located near just about everything you could ever want to do. Check in/ out was a breeze, everything worked properly and the house had all extras (towels, pool and tennis equipment). I would highly recommend staying here while on Maui. If we return we would definitely stay here again.

Great stay

The stay was great and worked perfectly where everyone had a seperate room or could gather if needed. The only annoyance but not an issue was the landscaping crews and navigating through them in the driveway.

Excellent Stay!

The house was perfect for our group! We loved the separate spaces and the pool was huge! Air conditioning would have been nice but we made it work. We would definitely stay here again.
