Beautiful house

I recommend staying at the Tenleytown house. It's as pretty as the photos and the owners are nearby and responsive. We stayed for 5 days and walked to restaurants, the market, Target and to American University to visit our daughter. We definitely will be returning.

Great stay in DC

Beautiful home with all amenities close to everything in DC and short walk to metro. Comfortable bedrooms (note one is a twin bed) and gorgeous main floor and kitchen. Host is very responsive. Recommend.

The house was nice. It was supplied with shampoos and lotions. It was neat and very clean. The owner communicated promptly with each question. Some small constructive feedback would be to have a binder with house and check out instructions It would also be nice to have a full length mirror somewhere in the home. Overall the stay was very nice. We would definitely use again.

Beautiful Property

The property and location were beautiful and perfect for attending our daughter’s graduation. The house was immaculate, neat, well stocked with cooking pots and pans, serve ware etc. There was a glitch the night we tried to check in and communication was difficult. It was resolved the following day and we were compensated for having to go elsewhere the first night. Parking in carport was a plus as street parking is hard to come by in the area. The house was close to restaurants and grocery etc. I think they are newer renters and are figuring things out. One last point is that it was a no outside shoes in the house which to me was a great rule. All in all, when we were finally connected they were quick to resolve the issue and I would definitely try the place again.

The home has an occupant and a caretaker living onsite. This was not disclosed prior in fact the advertisement stated the owner lived a few houses away and was available if needed and never mentioned a caretaker. This created a great deal of unease as we had three small children I. Our party which was disclosed a year prior when originally rented. Additionally, the air conditioning was out in the upstairs and we learned this the day before we were to be on-site. Because we had no other options for house during the 2026 4th of July holiday we had little choice but keep our booking. In so doing, the caretaker provided window ac units until the ac was repaired. They worked great and helped immensely. Although after the repair a ladder was left against the home overnight. This forgetfulness coupled with the lack of disclosure the home was actually occupied, my family did not feel safe in the home. The home was not clean upon arrival and the caretaker had to contact the cleaner while we waited onsite. Although the caretaker did a great job providing small extras like water and coffee, the overall experience was disappointing and did not meet our expectations set by the original advertisement. Overall the home needs attention and honest disclosure . On the upside, off street parking was available, grocery store, and Metro station were a short walk from the home.

This beautiful home was the perfect oasis in DC for our group. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, it was within walking distance of the University of the District of Columbia, so many restaurants and public transportation. The host was wonderful and incredibly accommodating. Will absolutely stay here again next year.
