Wonderful stay!

Legacy on the Lake was the perfect spot for our women’s retreat! Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, plenty of spots for chatting. The setting is beautiful and relaxing! We’ll be back.

A wonderful property with many amenities and location was great!

We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hammocks, fishing from the dock, playing pool & there was plenty of room for the 6 of us.

Beautiful lake getaway!

We recently spent three nights here. It’s such an amazing property with so much to do for all of the family and all ages. It was such a great quiet getaway for our family to relax and unwind for the weekend. We will definitely be staying here again.

Family get together

The lake house was perfect for our family get together. We enjoyed the fire pit at night. Convenient to several restaurants and the Mentone Market. Highly recommend staying here.

Great for families, communication was excellent, we had one small thing that needed attention and they came right away and fixed it. There were so many small touches and thoughtful things in the house, it was like we were visiting a family members house! We felt so at home! The owners have thought of everything!

Family Fun

Such a beautiful and private proprty. Perfect for a large family. The game room and kayaks give the family so many fun options. The host was so helpful and only a text away. Best family vacation ever!! 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Legacy on the Lake is absolutely stunning. The owners put in time and care, and really paid attention to detail—all pictures on line are beautifully accurate. We rented with some friends while our sons went to space camp in Huntsville so that we were a little closer than NJ. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and Dock each morning, canoeing / kayaking along the lake, and playing pool. Visiting the sweet town is a must especially the Mentone Market, and Desoto Falls is a short car ride away. Every day we just looked forward to relaxing and enjoying the Beauty of the lake and the land. We had a fun conversation with the neighbor across the water who informed us that we rented the best property along the lake…and we wholeheartedly agree.

This beautiful house was on the water nestled in the woods. It’s was just what I needed for a restful extended weekend, this place has so much to offer from small families to larger families.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Legacy property! The house was roomy, clean, beautifully decorated, kitchen was equipped with all the extras for easy meal prep, the jacuzzi was clean and functioned properly, the view of the lake is amazing from the deck, and the gameroom was a HUGE HIT for our entire group of 8 adults...all family. We were there for our family Christmas Weekend Celebration and the owners even had Christmas Tree up and Outside lights! It was truly a Hallmark event! Looking forward to staying again this Christmas...

We were looking for a pet friendly cabin for a weekend getaway. Legacy on the Lake was a great choice. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and playing pool, ping pong, and foosball. We had a couple of questions which the owner answered quickly.

A family trip oasis

If you are looking for a retreat that will thrill the entire family, scroll no more! Legacy on the Lake is the ideal setting to get away from it all with plenty of opportunity to meet every need. Whether you want to spend the day lazing away in the beautiful surroundings or adventuring on the water toys provided and have a family game olympics on one of the many patios, this is your place. This house is definitely a HOME and you can feel that in every detail. It is warm and lived-in while also feeling like an expensive resort. We traveled with four parents, three teens, two grandparents, AND a dog and every person had the time of their lives! Picking a vacation rental can feel so intimidating and high stakes because you never know what you are going to get, but rest assured... with this house you will be getting gorgeous lake house decor, plenty of space, water activities, games aplenty, and a gorgeous property. I would definitely come back.

Awesome location and lake!

We (family of five a child's friend) enjoyed almost a full week here. Never ran out of things to do. visited Desoto Falls and swimming hole, Little River Canyon National Preserve and swimming hole, Cathedral Caverns State Park, Cloudland Canyon State Park, and more. Spent time everyday enjoying the lake (which is fun because the house is right at the junction of three different branches so different areas to explore!) and jumping in the water from the dam and the big rock in the middle of the lake. watched movies, played pool and poker, as well as huge jenga and ping pong. chairs and seats outside everywhere. amazing property! if we decide to visit this region for more outdoor fun, would definitely plan to stay here again!

This property was amazing! It is right on the riverbank. Kayaks were there as well as canoes and paddle boards. Overall the property was clean and the lawn was neat. The hot tub was a bit dated but had the BEST jets. The house was very clean but there were some cob webs inside. It was very hot when we first arrived but quickly cooled down. Fans were in the closet in most of the rooms along with ceiling fans in all the bed rooms. We did bring a fan and we did need it tho. There were a lot of spices in the cabinet to use. The refrigerator, stove, microwave, and washing machine were in perfect working order, however the dryer was very loud but functional. The game room was awesome and I think every game, from table top to board, was in the house somewhere. They were everywhere we looked. Lots of books to pick from too. The furniture was so comfortable. There was the coolest woodpecker door knocker I have ever seen. The porch furniture was also comfortable and my grands absolutely loved the swing chairs. Our host was very responsive and quick to reply to any questions we had.

Legacy on the Lake is a nice cabin with lots of amenities. We enjoyed the pool table, foosball table, hot tub, kayaks, and paddle boards. The WiFi was good, and the TV worked well. The air conditioning performed well and kept the house comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, pots, pans, and dishes.We prefer to keep our bedrooms very dark at night, and the shades could have a better job of that, especially after sunrise, but that was not a serious issue.

Beautiful home and property. Lots of wildlife activity (multiple bear sightings!). We really enjoyed our stay and barely left the house. Contacting the property manager was so easy and we received responses within minutes which I have never had such a prompt response. Kitchen has everything you needed to make meals there.
