The Poet was the perfect place to stay. The location was just what we wanted and the house was so organized, clean and cute! The owners even decorated the home for Halloween which made it extra fun for all the Fall colors!

We stayed for 4 nights and the house was amazing and the host went above and beyond in every aspect. This was far the best stay we have ever had. The house was stocked with everything you could ever need/want. The hot tub and kayaks were just perfect.

I have rented houses all over the world for years and this is by far the most beautifully decorated. Super close to great hiking. Walk to restaurants and bars. Awesome hot tub and fire pit. 10 out of 10!

Perfect location for a romantic weekend away. Peaceful little getaway with all you need within a short distance. House was wonderful, very neat and tidy and well organized. The hosts have things set up wonderfully. Very organized set up with clear instructions for everything. Couldn't be happier.

Spent the weekend at The Poet and only one word comes to mind, absolutely PERFECT. The place was immaculate, full with everything you would need. The hosts were very informative and response time was quick. Places to go out to eat were right down the street, but the best part for us was just sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee and taking in nature. Well worth it. Will be going back.

You can’t really ask for better. The property was so beautiful outside and inside and spotless. It has everything we needed for a great poconos weekend getaway. Brian was so helpful and responsive to my many many questions. He sent us a very detailed guide on things to do and where to eat around the area as well as other information on parking on the property and Jim Thorpe (so helpful). We found everything we needed in the cabin too. There were so many towels (appreciated). Bug spray, bear horns, sticks for roasting on bonfire, firewood, the product for the hot rob (which was ready to use), coffee, and spices and olive oil and other condiments which WERE NOT EXPIRED. They even provided mini bar soaps and spare toothbrushes and toothpastes which was a lifesaver as I forgot to pack toothpaste! We didn’t get a chance to kayak because of bad weather but we would have. We got to see some deer on the property and a neighbor mentioned they spotted a bear. We will definitely be back!

We had such a lovely stay at The Poet. The weather didn't cooperate, however it didn't matter, because we had everything we needed at the cabin. It was perfect for a cozy weekend indoors, and we even got outside for some walks, enjoying nature, and an evening camp fire. Which was a highlight. Everything was so wonderful, from the quick response from the owner, to the accommodations itself, but all the extras (coffee station, towels and linens, board games etc) that made us feel so welcomed, it really took it over the top. Definitely felt more like staying at an inn than a rental. Can't wait to visit again! Thanks so much for a memorable 25th anniversary!!

The cabin is beautifully decorated with really lovely thoughtful pieces of artwork and finishing touches. Super responsive host, literally within minutes of sending a message.

Perfect Hot Tub/Ski Cabin

The Poet is such a beautifully appointed place ridiculously close to Big Boulder while still maintaining a level of privacy. We had a wonderful weekend in this wonderful cabin. We highly recommend this property.

Little gem off the beaten path

The Poet is a gem nestled in the woods offering all the amazing amenities one could want plus some. Dave and Brian (owners) were amazing to work with and they have thought about everything in this place!! Its so cozy you'll never want to leave!!

Wonderful home! Brand new, beautifully decorated and comfortable, very detail oriented...from coffee to comfy beds and chairs and outdor spaces. Unlimited towels and everything you would want. Great communication with owners and def would cone back. Highly recommend!!!

Our host was very responsive and friendly. Check in/out was easy. The house was so thoughtfully laid out. The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed for cooking and it was beautifully arrranged. The towels were fabulous and there were so many of them! The shower was divine and the bed was super comfy. The parking spot in Jim Thorpe was such an amazing amenity! We can't wait to come back and stay again.

Everything inside and outside was perfect. All of the amenities made our visit even more enjoyable as we felt like we were home. The location is perfect. Everyone we met were so friendly and nice. Our host Brian could not have been moe accommodating. There are no negatives for this property. We would definitely stay here again and refer this property to our friends

What a gem! My wife and I enjoyed our first visit to Lake Harmony and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. They have thought of everything to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. Kayaks, endless firewood, a crystal clean hot tub, and fully stocked kitchen (spices, cooking oil, coffee, creamer). We absolutely loved the place and have already recommended to family and friends.
