The cottage was updated, very clean, and the host was very personable and responsive, and she provided all sorts of snacks and coffee. Beds very comfy. Enjoyed the winery, walking downtown West Jefferson, relatively close to Boone for shopping and dining. A super grocery store - Ingles -was literally five minutes away and Walmart and gas all within 10 minutes, so it was centrally located.

Very nice home and it was very easy to work with the owner. It was in a very convenient location to get to the town. Would stay again if we go back.

I can’t say enough how impressed we were with our stay. By far the. I nicest & easiest property we have ever rented!!! Communication wonderful. Fully stocked with lots of extras!

Beaver Den was beautiful, clean, and had more amenities than any rental we have ever stayed in. Owner Amanda has put a lot of thought in providing these plus in the design of the home and the furnishings. She encouraged questions and feedback and provided suggestions of places to eat and visit. Perfect space for a family of 4 or 2 couples. Although the house is next to a street, traffic noises were muffled and not an issue. 5 stars and would love to return!

The house was great! Very nice renovation and upgrades and thoughtful details with the snacks and coffee. It was located very convenient to everything on Jefferson and west Jefferson. Host was very nice and thoughtful!

Wonderful location close to quaint West Jefferson shopping and restaurants. Comfy beds and plenty of room. Kitchen with everything you need. We had wonderful weather so we spent a lot of our time on the patio outside.

This quaint cute little house was perfect for the event we attended. Even though it’s right on the highway the noise level was perfect and we all slept like babies! Super clean and super cute! Would stay there again if in that location so much better than a hotel!!

This place is a gem! It's close to Ingles, CVS, Walmart, gas stations and just a short drive to downtown. The layout works well flowing from kitchen to living and down the hall to the bedrooms & bathrooms. It's updated and nicely decorated. For a small house, it has enough storage for the essentials. For short stays, you'll find everything you need. We stayed for a few weeks and picked up a couple of things from my mother's house, a casserole dish, smaller serving bowls, a carving knife to suit our family cooking needs. The bed in the master bedroom is nice and firm, the bed in the guest room is a softer bed, the couch is large, comfortable and can fit a whole family and the TV's all have the common apps for streaming. An added feature was the washer/dryer hidden away in the kitchen closet, perfect for longer stays and storing extra items. The home is next to the main road and you will hear vehicles, but it's not the distraction we'd thought it might be and after a short time we didn't really notice it. The traffic seemed to be quiet between 10pm and 7am, perfect sleep time. Our host responded quickly and was cheerful. She also had left some treats for us to enjoy upon our arrival. If you're looking for a nice place stay in West Jefferson that's close to everything, this is the place for you.

This was a quaint beautiful home that was immaculate and the host was very responsive. Being on a main road there was traffic noise, so I was glad we had a white noise machine. Highly recommend and the host thought of all the extras.

Everything! We love West Jefferson and the house was perfect! Very clean, warm and welcoming. Absolutely adorable! Had everything we could possibly need just like home! Amanda is great as well. Feel like we made a Friend. We will definitely be back to that area and stay at this charming house.

We stayed at The Beaver Den while visiting West Jefferson for a family birthday and reunion, and it was perfect. The home was clean, comfortable, well kept, and centrally located. Amanda was fantastic—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Downtown West Jefferson had plenty of shopping, dining, and activities, and it was a short drive to Boone, Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other nearby attractions. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Our stay in Amanda’s lovely West Jefferson cottage couldn’t have been better! The location was so convenient, and the house had everything we could possibly need, and some things we didn’t even know we needed—like chocolate candies, maps, mints, toiletries. Amanda provided comfy beds, roomy tiled bathrooms, an outdoor dining spot, and a well equipped, beautiful kitchen. She also responded so quickly and thoroughly when we contacted her. This is where we will always stay in West Jefferson or its environs. Thank you, Amanda!

This cozy house is thoughtfully and generously appointed, conveniently located, and impeccably clean. The kitchen has all you need to cook a meal, including salt and pepper and cooking spray. My family especially appreciated the Keurig and huge assortment of kcups, welcome snacks and drinks in the fridge. The living room and both bedrooms each have Roku TVs.There are plenty of paper products and soap in every bathroom and the kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with a variety of pillows and extra blankets. The bathrooms are beautifully finished and have plenty of towels and toiletries. There are no closets in the bedrooms, but there is an hook in each room with 6 hangers, which worked fine for us. The house is right on a busy road, walking distance from the grocery store, CVS, and McDonalds, so there is a bit of road noise. Amanda was very easy to communicate with and even dropped off extra toilet tissue ON THANKSGIVING, just in case we ran out. We will definitely stay here again, and I recommend it for a family of 4 or even 5, as my teenager found the huge sofa in the living room very comfortable. Wonderful Holiday StayWe had an excellent stay at the Beaver Den over this Forth of July holiday! The property was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at home right away. One of the best features was the location—it was centrally located to down town West Jefferson and made getting to downtown restaurants, shops, and attractions incredibly convenient. Everything was exactly as described, and the attention to detail in the décor really made the space feel special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely book this property again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and conveniently located place to stay!

I was born and raised in West Jefferson, which is truly the coolest corner in western North Carolina! I recently finished remodeling the home you’ve chosen to spend some time in. It was truly a labor of love and I tried to pay attention to details that I thought you would enjoy. From the granite countertops to the spa like bathrooms to the private and stunning back patio-I hope you will be just as comfortable as you were if you were in your own home. Beaver Den is named after my high school, Beaver Creek. Our mascot was the beaver, so that’s why you will spot one here and there! I hope they keep you company and entertained! LOL!
