Come enjoy spectacular ocean views from every room, sunsets over the islands, spacious deck, and hot tub. Our centrally-located classic PNW wood-paneled home nestled among Doug Fir trees is
just 10 minutes from town & 5 minutes to 3,000 acre Moran State park, which offers incredible hiking & fresh water lakes for swimming, boating, and fishing.
This beautifully designed home has an open concept kitchen/living room with with a river rock fire place and an extra twin bed added comfort. Each bedroom is located at opposite ends of the house for maximum privacy, each with its own en suite bathroom. Soak up the beautiful ocean and forest views while dining outside on the deck or relaxing in the hot tub.
This is the perfect spot for 2 couples, a family, or a romantic getaway for two.
We require a signed rental agreement prior to check-in.
We accept ONLY non-shedding dogs (doodle types or similar) with a $100 pet fee for 1 dog, additional $50. for an additional dog, limit 2.
We encourage all guests to purchase trip insurance to protect their investment.

Beautiful home located in the Orcas Island Highlands development. Place was clean, beds were comfy, hot tub on the deck looking over the sound. Really nice place. Host was easy to communicate with and gave us some awesome local tips. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time staying at the property (family of 4). The hosts are communicative & helpful, the house is cozy & well-stocked. It would be helpful to have use of the washing machine, but we managed just fine. Thank you for sharing your house with us!

Honestly, we were so excited about this property and found it lacking in so many ways. It was dusty, areas including rugs not very clean, fridge that rumbled all night, outdated and smelled musty. One evening, I wore my white socks around the house and they were quite dirty. I don’t think the cleaning crew does anything other than change beds and clean bathrooms. The outside of the home was not maintained at all, deck in poor shape, glass panels along balcony were covered with mold and moss. Eaves were full of pine cones and plants. We covered the picnic table with a blanket we brought with us and deck rail was covered with lichen. Not worth what we paid at all and since we were hosting our in-laws, we were quite embarrassed. This area is lovely and the hiking, scenery is amazing.

This house was in a fantastic location, and verywell equipped. The host was very responsive and helpful. The hot tub was great, the view even better. Our feedback is that the home is in dire need of updates. Removing the original shag carpeting would go along way in getting rid of the “old house smell”

Larry, our host was fantastic to deal with. The views were amazing, the hot tub was relaxing with a perfect view of the stars. Beds were comfortable and cozy. I highly recommend this home for anyone needing tranquility, orcus is great to visit in the winter especially without a lot of tourists. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The property is beautiful & the location is great. The entire house needs a deep cleaning. There are many stains on the shag carpet. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Trash in a trunk from 2003. The coffee left for the guests expired in 2011. The fridge is filthy inside. Mold in the bathrooms on the walls above the showers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location was close to Mt. Constitution, town, hiking, etc.The only challenge we had was we didn’t receive the entry code until we arrived at the house. Fortunately, I had cell reception and was able to get it from Larry who was always very prompt in responding to me. Had I not had cell reception, we would have had to drive back into town.It would have been nice to receive it earlier so we didn’t have to stress about it

Puget Sound getaway

Very nice and comfortable. Kitchen was well equiped. Close to town as well as parks etc. Enjoyed our visit very much. Recommend this property.

The peaceful wooded setting, hot tub on the deck and stunning island views from this home were absolutely 5 Star. We also loved the proximity to Moran State Park with its great hiking and beautiful lakes. The town of East Sound is also very close by, which was very convenient. Larry was a great host and very responsive with any questions we had. The only reason for the 4 star rating is the condition of the home (bed linens, indoor and outdoor furniture, etc) are in real need of updating. Our stay was otherwise wonderful and we would happily return.

We (me, my husband and 2 kids) spent a few days here on our first visit to Orcas Island and had a great time! The house is set in a beautiful, quiet area, surrounded by dense trees and with an incredible view- exactly what we were hoping for when we chose this house over the many others available on the island. The house was clean, spacious and furnished with everything we needed. Yes, it could use a bit of updating (agree with another review that the bed linens and deck furniture have seen better days), but honestly everything was so comfortable that I didn't mind. This is the opposite of those quick flip short term rentals that have become so prevalent- this feels like an actual home, and I really appreciate all of the details that someone clearly put a lot of thought into! The hot tub and fireplace were excellent features! We spent a lot of time relaxing with movies and board games and puzzles between outings around the island. The only thing I wished we had was a washer and dryer on-site, but since we only stayed 4 nights we were able to make do without.The property feels very secluded while still only being a few minutes drive from town/activities. You will need a car though, in case that's not obvious. Communication with Larry was great too, he's a very responsive and thoughtful host. And his binder with detailed info about restaurants, activities, etc. was very useful too! We'd love to come for another visit some day!
