Welcome to this serene retreat nestled on 38 acres of picturesque land, complete with tranquil ponds, woodlands, and miles of walking trails. Nestled among oak trees, the charming log cabin features one bedroom, a living area with a wood-burning fireplace and exposed beams, a full kitchen (with all the necessary utensils, basic spices, coffee, etc.), and a full bathroom, complete with a luxurious copper bathtub. Next to the cabin, and also available for your use, stands an outdoor shower shack, which includes an enclosed bathroom facility. The cabin's shady front porch is the perfect spot to soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings. With a view of the pond, it's perfect for relaxing. We also welcome you to fish in our ponds, which are well stocked, but we ask that you bring your own poles and tackle. While on the property, you might see our three tame donkeys or cattle grazing and roaming freely in the pastures or wooded areas. Finally, we want to let our guests know we do live on the property, and you might see us around, but we will respect your privacy and space. Whether you are in the area for business or pleasure, escape the hustle and bustle of city life and embrace the tranquility of nature at Happy Oaks Cabin Retreat. The cabin was absolutely amazing! I loved the attention to detail, the rocking chairs on the front porch were perfect with the breeze that flows through while sipping coffee. The bed was super comfy! I loved feeding the donkeys and hiking. Great place to be in nature and peace and quiet. I will be back . The host, Marla, was awesome!!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The fireplace was cozy and welcoming with the cold weather and the cabin was beautiful and comforting inside and out. Definitely would recommend staying here for a rest from the daily routine or just to experience something different.

Marla was a wonderful host. She came by with carrots so we could feed the donkeys. She was warm and inviting. The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved our stay!

Girls Weekend

Happy Oaks Cabin was the perfect stay for our girls trip! The decor and atmosphere is heavenly and the fishing, friendly dog and donkeys gave it a special touch! Highly recomend and fantastic hosts!

Heidi and her friends were the loveliest of guests! They were all so kind and thoughtful. I appreciated how well they took care of everything and left the cabin so clean and tidy. I’d love to have them back anytime!

We loved our stay here at Happy Oaks cabin. Great people and was such a beautiful and peaceful place. Cozy cabin and was welcomed with a sweet card and a few extras for our anniversary. It was a perfect place to celebrate our Anniversary. We will definitely be back! Will be recommending to friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. The welcoming committee (dogs and donkeys) were a treat. The front porch was an absolutely great place to spend the mornings with coffee. Marla was a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back.

This whole experience was amazing! The property here is absolutely gorgeous and the cabin...perfection! This cabin is so cozy and the details in the architecture are unbelievable! It is fully furnished! Pack your clothes, food and a toothbrush and you're all set. Don't forget your fishing poles! The livestock that roams free on the property is wonderful to sit on the porch and watch. The hosts were the sweetest and so welcoming! We look forward to returning here in the future!

Cabin Getaway

This cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for us. Clean, beautiful, and thoughtful touches from the host throughout the cabin made it extra special. The land is beautiful, surrounded by trees and so many peaceful places to relax and enjoy a little escape from the norm. Also, the host was easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Such a beautiful and peaceful place

My little family and I stayed here for our trip to the Ft Worth area and absolutely loved it. The area was perfect. You are still close to everything you need, while not being right in town. The cabin was beautiful and we loved starting and ending our days on the porch enjoying the beautiful scenery. Mrs Marla was very sweet and helpful with the process and anything we needed. We can’t wait to visit again!

Anniversary getaway

We had a great time getting away for our anniversary in this wonderful cabin retreat. We were greeted by cows and donkeys, caught a couple of catfish and several bass, and enjoyed watching birds and squirrels from the rocking chairs on the front porch. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Owners are a lovely couple that stopped by as we left to see how everything went. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet getaway and are already planning a return trip in fall.

Extra special girls day

Marla was an incredible hostess! The cabin was above and beyond what we could have expected. The listing really doesn’t do it justice. Beautifully fresh picked flowers awaited our arrival- everything was spotless! Quaint, charming and utterly relaxing. Felt like we were a million miles away…..It was exactly the girls day we had hoped for!
