It was exactly what i was hoping for - perfect location to spend time on the beach without the hassle of trying to find parking or dealing with crowds. Communication was absolutely on point and i would absolutely stay here again!

Location was perfect. Allowed us to enjoy our paddle boards on thd bay side one day, then hit beach side the next. The garage was a life saver allowing us to bring all our gear without having to lug it upstairs every day. Only have a couple compliments/suggestions. The patio is NOT private, its shared with the neighbors next door...not a big deal though.Also a dresser....this vrbo needs a dresser! Closet was great, but a dresser would have been perfect.Also the bed....the bed and I didn't get along very well. Too low to ground, and it killed my back.....but those were seriously my only complaints, and we absolutely loved our stay regardless. Would certainly stay again.

We truly enjoyed our stay. This was exactly what we were looking for. Being able to walk to beach and bay but far enough away for peace and quiet. It was a perfect base camp for all of our adventures. Also when they say the garage is for a compact car that is what will fit best. We had rented a compact SUV and it took a little maneuvering but we made it work.

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised at the accommodations, the comfort and location. Nice little kitchen with refrigerator & stove so you have the ability to cook a meal if you want. Bay and beach access was perfect. Comfortable bed and nice little views of the bay from the living room. It does have a small garage if you rent a small car, but it’s really not necessary because everything is walking distance. And it’s a short drive by Uber or Lyft to the airport. Check in and check out was very easy. And management kept in touch with me every day, which was really nice. We look forward to our return!

Perfect little hideaway to enjoy the Pacific Beach & Mission Beach Area. Could see the Bay from the window, and the apartment had all the things needed for simple beach life living.

While we were pleased with the location, the home could use some updating. The kitchen window was covered in dried bugs, the couch had a hole in the front of it and could use a cleaning or replaced. There could also be some sort of window blinds or curtains in the kitchen area windows.

The host failed to communicate ahead of purchase that the adjoining unit was under heavy construction. This made working remotely incredibly difficult and inconvenient. Would not have rented here if we were aware of this going in.

GREAT STAY! You could not ask for a better location! Sunrise in the morning on the Bay and Sunset at night across the street. The Pacific Ocean is less than a 10 minute walk. The unit was clean, the bed was comfy, linens nice and pillows were wonderful. Kitchen had everything to get started except a modern working coffee maker. Everything you need is within walking distance, grocery, coffee, laundry, souvenirs. Unless you plan to do "tourist" things around SD, you really don't need a car. If you have a car, the garage is tricky, I scraped up my rental and hit the actual garage. John told me to just enjoy my stay and he would deal with it. All I needed to do was pay for the damage I made, reasonable price. The unit has been updated since these pics. Nice cabinets and sink in kitchen, new sink and wonderful tile shower in bathroom. I experienced a few maintenance issues but nothing that really affected my stay. John was quick to respond and things were taken care of the same day. All of the owner communication was outstanding from booking to leaving. I would stay again and recommend this location to anyone looking in Mission Beach. LOVED IT!

Arrived to the unit at 9pm to no bedding for the pull-out sofa. Had to run out to Target (only store open at this hour) to purchase sheets and a quilt for my toddler. Sheets were dropped off the following afternoon, but quilt/comforter was not dropped off until day four. Construction in the next door unit made for a less-than-peaceful experience during day hours. My toddler and wife, who were feeling ill, were unable to rest mid-day.On the third morning, the plumbing work next door caused our toilet to flood, filling the bathroom with urine and wastewater. We were then without water and a bathroom for the next six hours while the issue was remedied. Ongoing construction also caused the lights to flicker off and on regularly.The unit's furnishings and floor did not feel very clean. No broom and vacuum was provided to help clean up sand and other debris tracked into the unit.Parking in the garage is difficult, but not a deal-breaker. Something to be aware of if you struggle with driving.Pros: the location is great, steps from many restaurants, shops, trails, and the beach. Perhaps the rest of the items can be addressed for future stays.
