Relax at our cute & cozy cottage in a quiet country area, just 4 miles from downtown Lexington and in close proximity to the Virginia Horse Center, W&L, VMI, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Appalachian Trail!

This charming retreat is perfect for a single person or a couple. At 650 square feet, La Casita offers a brand-new, cozy queen sofa bed with a memory foam mattress on the main floor. Upstairs, a comfortable day bed includes a trundle underneath which can either be used separately or raised to the level of the day bed.

The kitchen is loaded with an array of pots and gadgets in case you wish to cook to your heart's content.

Love, love, LOVE this little cottage! Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, comfortable sitting room, gracious host--and just ten minutes away from downtown Lexington and the Virginia Horse Center. Can't wait to visit again.

Repeated visit to this charming and comfortable spot, just ten minutes from downtown Lexington. Host is responsive and the little house is private, quiet, and delightfully furnished.

We loved the little casita! It was cozy yet clean; it had everything we needed with the two beds, bathroom, and a full kitchen. We weee there for a horse show at the Virginia Horse Center. The house location was super convenient and 10 minutes away. We will definitely book again if we come back to this horse show!

Beautiful and rekaxing

The cabin was clean and lovely. The attention to detail and care was so wonderful. If you stay here you will feel at home and absolutely comfortable. Highly recommend this cabin. Location was perfect.

Another comfortable stay at this immaculate, thoughtfully appointed cottage. The full kitchen, equipped with coffee pods, basic spices, and oils, means that you can self cater, and Food Lion is four minutes down the road. Beds are comfortable and the Virginia Horse Center is ten minutes away. My go-to horse show lodging!

Charlotte is a wonderful host! She was quick to respond to questions about the house and the area. The house itself is charming, and felt bigger than expected. It was clean and obviously well cared for. Everything we needed was provided. We will definitely return. Also, highly recommend Sunrise BBQ for breakfast.

Review of stay

The host was good with communication and the home was clean. The home was much smaller than we anticipated and no actual bedrooms. My daughter said the pull out sofa was very comfortable but the day bed in the loft was not as comfortable for me.Everything seemed to work properly. The noise from Interstate 81 was loud all night long and kept me awake and the grass had not been cut around the property. We decided not to hang out much at the house as a result.

I'm happy to hear that you found La Casita to be clean and the pull-out sofa to be very comfortable! Yes, it's a tiny and cozy home at 700 sq. feet - hence the name "La Casita." I appreciate you clarifying that there are no "actual bedrooms" but rather 2 rooms with sleeping accommodations in each. We were able to cut the grass in the immediate vicinity of the home, but unfortunately we had trouble with the mower and were unable to complete the back side of the acre property. The VRBO description of the property communicates that there is some noise from I-81, so La Casita it is not an ideal fit for anyone who is a light sleeper! Thank you for your feedback, Barbara!

The casita is great - clean, comfy, and fully stocked. The road noise from the interstate is a bit intrusive, requiring the AC unit on high to (mostly) drown it out. We would have preferred a full size or queen in the loft, but we made do with the twin trundle bed. Host was super responsive and helpful. Solid 4 out of 5 stars and we'd consider staying again, depending on available nearby options.
