Conveniently located 5 miles from Historic downtown Lexington, Washington and Lee University, VMI, Virginia Horse Center, and Virginia Safari Park. We're directly located off S Lee Hwy, which makes this rental centrally located to several breweries, wedding venues, restaurants, I81 and more! This place was great! It was close to everything but had the far away feel. It was a fun place. We enjoyed our stay very much. The host was thoughtful and attentive to our needs. The robes and towels for the hot tub were the best extra touch and the first we've ever encountered with that level of thoughtfulness regarding that area! My only issue was that the water pressure was pretty low on and off, when we stayed.. All I can think of is maybe the bladder tank needs more air added. Aside from that, it was a very pleasant stay and we would stay again for sure!

The house was lovely. Everything was clean and well organized. The details were well thought out from having lights on for us when we got there to having bibs for children.

A lot of thought and care has gone into transitioning this small home into an excellent getaway for those in need. They have put a lot of thought into maximizing what the property has to offer and making the inside theme fun, welcoming and escapist. The traffic isn't bad considering it's a state route, but they have maximized the outdoor space, so it easily turns into chill, drink, and counting cars or punch bug buggy for the kids.Cool and comfortable comparted to 105degrees outside, lots of space to spread out and not be on top of each other but still easily communicate and bring everyone together.The area is a great too. Lots of fast food, grocery locations within 5mins. Natrual Bridge, several petty zoos and a Safari, with a supporting cast of wineries all with in 5mins also made this my number one call back if we ever go back to see all we didn't get time in this short 2night trip.

The host was very welcoming, very communicative with us, and overall we had an amazing time. The house is adorable, the artwork on the walls and knickknacks scattered throughout ties everything together. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was thoroughly cleaned and amazing to sit in when the nights got a little chilly. Natural Bridge state park is only about 10 minutes away so we went to see that, the hike was gorgeous. We will be booking this place again.

What a charming house! It was very spacious and the host thought of everything. It was well stocked with everything you could think of, down to the slippers for walking out to the hot tub.

My husband Brian and I renovated this Buffalo Bend Cottage so visiting guests like you could experience our amazing area close enough to the most popular Lexington and surrounding area attractions while being on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle. We are both self employed; I'm a professional cleaner and he's a professional HVAC installation and Service Technician, and together we can accomplish most anything. We love our area; fishing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, and our current hobby - riding Indian motorcycles, and we invite you to be our guest so you and yours can make memories of your very own.

We are centrally located near most the top attractions that bring tourists and visitors to Lexington and surrounding areas. Whether it's the Zoo, Safari Park, Washington & Lee University, Virginia Military Institute, breweries, hiking, kayaking, biking, golfing - Buffalo Bend is just minutes away! We welcome YOU to be our guest.

Not only do guests have access to the entire 3 bedroom, 1 bath cottage with awesome front porch seating, a separate covered pavilion with additional outdoor seating and propane fire pit, but we ALSO have creek front property. How awesome is it to walk across the street and be in nature! The Buffalo creek flows directly in front of the house, across Rt. 11. Take a stroll around the property, hike around, dip your toes in the water and admire the random wildlife the wooded area and waterway offers. Remember: Soak it in, Relax, Unwind, and Rejuvenate during your stay!
