Aloha,

You've discovered a listing for a luxurious one-bedroom condo on the top 6th floor. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, tile floors, travertine bathroom, two 40' LED TVs.

The convenient floor plan allows unobstructed views of the ocean bay and West Maui mountains from every room, literally one can watch whales while still in bed (whales are not included)

Each of the rooms has independent entry to large shared lanai (balcony).

Condo amenities include central A/C (both rooms), wireless internet, cable, dedicated parking spot, king-size bed with luxury plush mattress. For additional guests we can offer unfoldable couch and/or queen-sized air-mattresses.

Kauhale Makai (Hawaiian for Village by the Sea) amenities include manicured garden-like grounds, pool, shallow kid's pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, putting green, well-maintained outdoor BBQ grills, coin-operated laundry facilities on the same floor, elevator, concierge services.

The building is located in Central Kihei and offers convenient access to all Maui attractions, shopping and transportation. The nearest supermarket, and shopping plaza is about 0.5 miles away - can walk, Wailea is 5.5 miles away, Airport - 11 miles, Lahaina 21 mile, Costco, Walmart - 10 miles, renowned Ma'alaea Aquarium - 7 miles, Haleakala crater - 32 miles.

Of course, many of Kauhale Makai guests choose to spend relaxing days on property, enjoying pool, BBQ, cocktails on lanai, unbelievable tropical sunsets from the beach, and wrapping up the day soaking in hot tub.

We believe that our condo will be most comfortable for a couple or for a family with 1 or 2 children.

Amazing View

No complaints. Everything was perfect, kids enjoyed the pool and beach. Turtles right on the beach out back and the beach wasn’t over crowded like others.

Great views

We loved the view from the balcony. The space was perfect for the two of us. It was nice that you could easily drive to shops and restaurants in Kihei. We would stay here again.

Great little rental

Check-in was simple, with clear instructions emailed ahead of time. The living space and kitchen were the highlight of the condo and where the most remodeling work went into. Comfortable bed that was separated out from the living space which gave my wife time to rest when I was awake. Like other guests have mentioned there are some touch ups that could be adressed in the bathroom space but nothing bad. There are 3 snorkel sets there (one is a kids set), beach umbrella and two chairs along with beach towels. There was also a playpen for the under 2 years old crowd. Overall the location if this rental is perfect as its centrally located from the airport, west Maui and south Maui beaches. If you get the chance take the snorkel gear to La Parouse

Maui adventure trip

This unit has everything and over kill. The host might have thought everything that the guests need to stay here comfortably. Literally you can move in to live here for good. Best host ever.

Great experience!

Accommodations, Ambience and Area were all wonderful. Communication was clear and detailed from reserving to arrival. Would definitely stay here again. A fresh coat of paint could be beneficial, but would not be a deterrent from staying again. Don M

Great location and great communication

The management was very responsive and helpful. The location was great, too. Very convenient access to the beach, and very nice views. The only suggestion I have is to provide a better and larger coffee pot. Overall we really enjoyed the place.

Great place and location.

We had a very good stay and got used to a little inconveniences like AC which blows off and on without possibility of adjustment. We just think AC was not needed in this state. Better off keeping the balcony doors open. Small TLCs like touch up paint here and there, but overall it was awesome place to spend the vacation. Will be coming back. Oh, registration email kept bouncing back and only after several days I managed to get back from our excursions in time to visit the office personally to receive a parking tag, which no other cars displayed on the dashboard. Parking was not a huge problem, except for really narrow spaces, which we discovered are typically for Maui :) Mahalo for a really nice stay in paradise.

Decent ocean front room

1) Property turned out to be as described but the bathroom could use remodeling. Bathroom area/space is very congested. May be I didn' t pay close attention to all pics prior to booking but personally I feel it was small area so less convenient. 2) It might be normal in Hawaii atmosphere but we saw some bugs in kitchen area so that was little disappointing but as soon as I repored I was provided spray immediately to control/kill bugs. 3)Sliding door from living to balcony needs some work/repair so it smooth and less noisy as you open and close sliding door. 4) Property is located in good location and ocean front condo.

beautiful property with great views

the room was great, has large sliding doors in the bedroom and living room with views of the neighboring condo's, pool area, and clear shot of the ocean (beach is technically hidden behind a hill just before the sand; you can see it in the pics).. room had AC but you could opt to just open the sliding doors for fresh air instead.. property was close enough to the center of kihei so a 5min car ride would put you at many different restaurants.. would definitely book them again.

Awesome view, great location

We loved our stay at this property. We appreciated the quiet complex, great pool and proximity to the beach. We went on beach walks every morning and saw many turtles sleeping on the beach. We had a car and it was a great central location on Maui. We found the unit to be comfortable, very clean and well-equipped. We spent most of our time on the large balcony admiring the stunning view. Management was quick to respond and resolve a minor issue. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay in a nice location, no issues or troubles!

This is a nice apartment with a balcony and a great view. It’s pretty clean, has a nice kitchen with dishes, utensils, and a dishwasher that were very useful. The only things were that the mattress and cover in one of the futons in the living room could be cleaner, and the floor washer and dryers needed some repair!

Perfect location for the whole island

First trip to Maui. The accommodations were comfortable. The bed was comfortable and plenty of extras were provided. Coffee maker was a little tricky but figured it out. The view was great and sitting on the patio was the best part having coffee and breakfast in the morning. The on-site management office was closed most of the time we were there so we did not do any sort of official check in. The property managers were responsive when I called. We ran into some issues that the owner of the property rectified so we were very pleased. It was so convenient and there were numerous restaurants nearby that we enjoyed especially Da Kitchen. It was an easy starting point to any touring east or west Maui. Overall we felt it was a good value and would recommend to others.

nice but needs upgrades

Location was lovely , a great improvement would be better couches and seating in the living room area.Also there wasn’t a dresser for clothing All and all for the price it seemed a little lacking in basic comforts .

Nice Condo

The condo was nice. Not furnished as well as many of our other stays in Maui. Would have been nice to have somewhere to put our clothes rather than having to keep everything in our suitcase for the week. Everything was very clean, and the kitchen was updated nicely. The complex was great and well kept.

Lovely Slice of Kihei

This is our 2nd stay at Village by the Sea (different condo). We love the location. The beach is right there. Overall the complex is quiet pool clean, and folks are easy to get along with during your stay. The laundry is 10 steps away. Our condo this time had an awesome view and that coveted shade for part of the day. Definitely worth a top floor view for you and your companion when staying in Kihei.

Fantastic location!

This is a great condo for a couple and the view and location can’t be beat. The only thing I would change is to maybe have more towels (we had ample bath towels but only had 1 hand towel for two of us for six days), and beach chairs would have been nice (we bought a couple folding chairs and left them there for others). Plus, a decent coffee pot would have been really nice or a French press. Only thing there was one of those tiny little hotel room coffee pots. But overall very much enjoyed the place.

Village by the sea

We totally enjoyed our stay at Village by the Sea # 628 The communication from the complex before arrival was very Complete with extra info about Maui which was very helpful . The room was very clean and the kitchen was adequately supplied , they even supplied sun screen in case we forgot ! The owners supplied beach towels and umbrellas and an abundance of toys , lawn games and even a pack and play crib . We noticed extra air mattresses this place was equipped for a family with kids . We were only two and did not need half of all the extras but it would have been nice to have beach chairs as this was the only extra we needed . We had issues getting the TV to work ,the toaster and a light fixture the manager was right on it , came over and resolved the issues promptly. The bed was comfortable but the couch / futon and chairs in the living room were not . We love the location of north Kihei and right on the beach ! Thank you we would stay here again and recommend it to others
