Our newly renovated accommodations provide a tranquil retreat after a day of exploration. Just 20 minutes from Gunnison and Crested Butte, we offer the ideal base for your mountain getaway.

Lovely location

We visited to go mtb in the area. The river was beautiful and it was nice having the restaurant right there.

Beautiful location and dog friendly!!

Always great to be able to travel with our pups. Beautiful location on the Taylor River. Basic but everything you need!

It was ok. The location is beautiful. The rooms are very run down with no real comfort and with our door being completely broken and unable to lock for the first night we stayed there. The people that work there were very nice.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While about 1/2 of the cabins at Harmels have gone through bigger renovations. Every other historic cabin on site got new doors, beds, and insultation. We are sorry for the issue with your cabin! We work hard to maintain and fix any issues that occur in these historic cabins on a resort that has been family owned and operated since 1917. We believe we have one of the best staffs around and agree they are all very nice!

This place is not only breathtaking but also the staff knows how to treat their guests so they have the best experience possible. When we requested a fan it was delivered to our cabin within minutes. The restaurant manager came to each table to introduce himself (Nick). The next day we ran into him on the property and he actually remembered my husband's name. We highly recommend dining at Bites and Brews. Be sure to sit outside next to the Taylor River if possible! Overall a very pleasant stay.

Entering Harmels on the Taylor through our main gate is just the beginning of what we have to offer with our Almont, Colorado accommodations. Our guest ranch is located just less than 30 minutes from Gunnison and Crested Butte with 100’s of miles of hiking and ATV trails. All of our facilities are available to guests staying here at the ranch. In the recreation room, we have free billiards, ping pong, foosball, wi-fi, big screen TV with Direct TV, puzzles, games, books and a newly-renovated back deck with stunning views of the Taylor River. Cornhole, Horseshoes and Washer boards are located at the Chuckwagon Grounds near the large outdoor fire pit and across from the Taylor River.
Of all we have to offer our guests at our ranch in Colorado, the great outdoors is our most precious. There are many spots throughout the ranch that allow you to enjoy the scenery.
