The Bunkhouse at CrowNestFarm! Dog Welcome! Communal Bathroom and Kitchenette.
The Bunkhouse at Crow Nest Farm offers a memorable experience! Your private space is located in our 1880’s big blue barn, decked out with a heated queen bed, a set of bunk beds, lockers, and a private deck and entrance. So much better than camping with all the comforts of home. The cowpokes have moved on and now it’s your turn to stay!
The iron queen bed offers a heated mattress pad, usb ports and chargers and work lights. The bunks offer adult twin mattresses and bleached white bedding. Extra wool blankets are provided for chilly nights. The upper bunk is for agile wranglers only - climb down the ladder, swing down the rope or dismount off the chin up bars. The lower bunk accommodates everyone and offers plenty of space to sit up, with easy in and out. All beds have their own built in outlets, usb ports and lamps. Bunks have Coleman sleeping bags. The barn has high speed internet throughout. A mini fridge and freezer, table and chairs and a thick pile wool rug complete the furnishings. Enter off your private deck overlooking our sister rental, "The Coop" and its gardens. Relax in webbed lawn chairs or enjoy the public spaces in the barn.
The barn’s shared communal bathroom is outside the Bunkhouse’s door, leading into the common areas in the barn. The barn bathroom is shared with our sister rentals, Yellowstone and The Coop.
The rain shower has plenty of hot water and Dr Bronners Pure Castile Liquid Soap and shampoo. The state of the art composting toilet is fan driven eliminating odors. We are on a spring fed well and ask that you help conserve water usage. To reiterate, the Bunkhouse does NOT have its own bathroom, it is shared.
Hot coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the kitchen next to the bunkhouse with creamer and sugar provided. Baked goods are often available, please enjoy! The barn kitchenette is not set up for full cooking - heat up your leftovers in the microwave.
The barn loft is for overnight guests only and offers a Rec Room with a comfy couch, old time console tv and monster movies. Board games and a puzzle table are stocked for your enjoyment. The Carrera Racetrack Room is where you want to be for late fun.
The Bunkhouse is a unique, picturesque venue for mobile guests over 13 only. Age 13-16 requires adult presence. The farm and barn are not safe for youngsters. The Bunkhouse is not air conditioned nor heated, but the queen bed has a heated mattress. No open flames of any type are allowed in the barn, including candles- no exceptions. No smoking is allowed on the property at all. Please enjoy adult beverages, but no drunkenness or drugs allowed. We are not a party venue.
Quiet time on the farm is 10pm-8am but sometimes the rooster doesn’t respect that! Idiot Brothers Cidery is also located in the barn so expect compressors sound as the machinery keeps the cider cool. The farm gets hopping around 9am so expect noise.
Dog must be well brushed, leashed, stay off furniture and beds, and you must clean up after them. Dog may never be left alone on property, they must go with you on your travels -no exceptions.
The Bunkhouse is glamping - glamorous camping - at its best. If you don’t like rustic (think National Park/Kamping Cabin style accommodations) then this space is not for you and we suggest you book our Jetson Suite which is located in the farmhouse.
Got a big group? Consider booking our sister rental on the property: Yellowstone, a 14x16 glamping tent, The Coop, an 100 year old converted chicken coop, or The Jetson Suite located in the farmhouse.
The Bunkhouse guests have access to:
Their private lockable bunk room.
Their private deck.
The common areas of the barn, bathroom, kitchenette and the farm grounds.
Visit the silkie chickens and bunnies or play badminton on the lawn, swing in a hammock or visit the gardens.
We offer privacy and a chance to unwind in nature. Keys will be left on the bunkhouse table so check in is a breeze. We are a working cidery so you might see the guys pressing cider. While any of the staff will help out guests, questions may be texted to Chris at anytime.
We are not a party venue. Guests are welcomed for a quiet country farm stay only. Security cameras are located on property. Dogs must always be leashed and never left alone in Bunkhouse.

As graduated the Cornell Hotel school hospitality is in my blood. We enjoy sharing our beautiful farm with guests and try to keep the cost reasonable so more people can enjoy this gorgeous vacation spot.
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
Trumansburg and IThaca are super cool towns with lots of entertainment and great restaurants. Three state parks are close by and waterfalls abound. The hiking is fabulous and just down the road are the Amish and Mennonites with their gorgeous farm markets and stands.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
Our farm was built in 1880 and for the last 50 years was owned by a Cornell art professor and his author wife. They’ve added a lot of quirky touches and we’ve taken it a little further. Everybody who stays at the farm agrees that this is one of the most unique properties they’ve ever stayed on. It’s a different experience and you’ll never forget it.
