Such an amazing place! The views were breathtaking, the property was quiet and private, the camp was clean (although it could use some updates) and everything functioned perfectly. Andy was a very responsive and informative host. Thank you for the perfect getaway!

Was here last August and returned this August. I was just as comfortable as the last visit. We had everything we needed and of course adored our view and the company of our duck friends. Looking forward to next summer already!!

We had a wonderful stay at Andy’s camp. You can’t get any closer to the water. We brought out pontoon boat and tied to the dock no issues. Loved the privacy and simplicity of the property. We did have cell service enough to watch a movie on a rainy day which was convenient. The cabin had everything you could need, but if I were to travel here again I’d bring some sharp knives and a few more baking/kitchen accessories just for my own convenience. Also the fact that the couch folded flat was a savior for snuggling with my toddler and naps. Looking forward to another trip here in the future! Thank you for sharing your space.

First of all the views of the lake and the sunsets were astounding. We made use of the outdoor wood grill and also made s’mores over a fire in the fire ring. Loved the privacy of the camp. Really would have liked to spend more time just chilling at the cabin and paddling on the lake, but we were busy hiking and exploring Baxter SP. it seems there are so many more things to do that we didn’t get to. There were some plumbing issues, but Andy and his plumber responded about as quickly as anyone could reasonably expect. I think he was going to make some modifications once we were out of the way.The decor was quite eclectic but good for a camp. A little Vegas at a camp is amusing. I was worried about the twin beds, but they turned out to sleep marvelously. The step up from the deck to the cabin is a bit of a challenge for short people. An intermediate step would be nice.All in all, a big win, hated to leave, want to come back!

We were expecting a cabin in the woods but this place was in shockingly bad condition. Holes up to the size of a fist in several of the window/door screens, active hornets nest in one doorway, broken boards on porch railing, exposed wiring, filthy couch, etc. Needless to say, we left before spending a night. The host was unreachable and dishonest. Nightmare stuff.

This was a great location. The address for google maps is 28 Birch Pt. We loved the charcoal grill and the double bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot and strong. We had decent cell service and it was nice to not have a tv or a wifi so we could truly relax. We rented a canoe from Jeramaiah at Ambajejus Outfitters just down the road. We walked there and canoed back which was really convenient. The winds on the lake were strong in mid afternoons but really calm first thing in the morning and in the evenings. Andy was just a text message away if we needed anything. We had a great time. Katahdin is awesome. Only regret is that we didn't see any moose. Next year!

This was our second time staying at the property, so we definitely enjoy it. Very private, and great views.

We had a wonderful stay! This place is clean and has all the kitchen accessories you need. Plenty of hot water for showering. The location is great, we kayaked and canoed and caught lots of fish. Swimming too! Convenient home base for visiting Baxter State Park. If you really want to disconnect, this is the spot.

Stayed there with our twos dogs and the location was perfect. Camp was very clean and is directly on the water, even had a dock for us to dock our fishing boat. It has everything you need. Beautiful big windows in the front let in so much natural light and the sunsets views are perfect from the front deck. I do wish the camp had a bigger bed the double was a little tight for us but other than that the place was percent for us.

it's a wonderful open floor plan with 3 sliders looking over the lake. Bit the sliders don't open or close easily, nor do any of the windows (except the bathroom and over kitchen sink). who ever cleans just adds water to the hand soap in the bathroom. The deck is right over the water which is awesome! some TLC to those things on the inside and some cosmetic stuff outside, the entire property would be magnificent! we had a very nice stay, besides the hornet nest between the main door and storm door that leads out to the pavilion.. the doors were left unlocked and my almost 80 year old mom was stung a couple times in the corner of her right eye when she went to go out that way. this could have easily been avoided. even though i'm allergic, I had spray in my car and I took care of the hornet and the nest.

Lake vacation

Great well kept lake front camp. Not roughing it by any means. Extremely clean and welcoming. Lake is very quiet, even on a holiday weekend. Camp is close enough to town if you need grab something. Overall wonderful experience. Hated leave.

The spectacular view more than makes up for what is missing, no microwave, no internet, no hairdryer. The house is a little decrepit but the view is priceless. Sit on the deck and watch the sun set over the lake.

loved the view..I had a fall before my stay so I didn't get out on the water much. We played board games and had good meals. The bedding and linens were luxurious ! My daughter and grandson did get to kayak. The most exciting thing was when the eagle and the juvenile landed on the rock out in the water !

Great home base for Baxter State Park

Property was perfect for us. Clean with everything we needed. This is a simple rustic type place, nothing fancy, but like I said: clean, spacious, good kitchen, beds were comfy, hot water for showers. View off the deck was beautiful. Watched a loon one morning while drinking my coffee. No complaints and would stay again!

Third time here

It was our third time at this property. Sadly, the price has almost doubled and the property is starting to show some decline. Still nice and private, still a good stay though

Great -Rustic- Location for Baxter State Park

This is a property for those that have stayed in true "camps". In short, the location is everything and the accomodations are Spartan but serviceable. The outdoor deck is a terrific place to relax and take in the views, including the calling loons and ducks. Fish eight off the point in front of the cabin or take a swim in the clear water.

Phenomenal location!!

Location, location, location! If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind lakefront, this is the place! Andy’s place was spotlessly clean, and we really enjoyed being directly on the lake! We also really appreciated the privacy, and space from other neighbors, Which you don’t always get in lakefront neighborhoods. And he was super easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We would definitely rent here again!

Unbeatable Views and Location

If you’re okay with a camp style stay, this is it. The view and location was beyond amazing. Literally the listing doesn’t give it justice. If you plan to do Baxter, you’re 20 minutes out which is perfect. House was more than big enough for two of us. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Home base for Baxter

This is a cabin on a lake. It's simple. No tv, microwave, washer/dryer or dishwasher. It has 2 bedrooms and a large living area. It was super clean. Basic cooking needs. Sometimes you need to be creative. The outdoor grill worked great. Best of all is the lake! Crisp clean water! Lots of fish caught off the dock. Definitely recommend!!

I loved this cabin. Waking up in the morning to the view of the gorgeous lake and the sound of the loons was everything. The cabin is clean and had everything we needed sleep,eat, and shower. There was plenty of space inside and outside. The property was private and quiet. We loved the huge spacious deck which is where we spent most of our time when we were not out. I actually slept on the deck the first night and loved it. We didn't do any outdoor cooking because of the ban due to lack of rain. But defintely be using the outdoor grill and gazebo next time. Can't wait!

Beautiful vista

Arrived just in time for a gorgeous sunset. First full day was a washout because of hurricane Lee, and even lost power at one point. Owner kept me updated on status the whole day, which he certainly didn’t have to do, until power was restored. The rest of my stay was awesome, including watching two bald eagles fishing from the rocks right off the deck. Hoping to come back next year!

My dog ate mouse poison the owners left

My vacation ended early after my dog needed emergency veterinary care due to eating mouse poison the owners left out and accessible to dogs.

We're so sorry to hear this happened. We've checked all over the camp and spoke with our maintenance man and cannot find anything that would be accessible to pets.
