Just outside of Millinocket and an hour and a half from Bangor, Maine International Airport, we are easy to find, Designed for families, friends, and lifelong memories, this spacious waterfront cabin offers the perfect balance of comfort, adventure, and the timeless beauty & serenity of Maine’s North Woods. Moose head, Caribou head, and Bear rug adorn the walls like a luxury lodge, with all the modern conveniences of home. Only 5 miles to a hospital, grocery store, post office, restaurants, and shopping.

Wake each morning from your king size master bedroom to sweeping views of Mt. Katahdin reflected across the water, then enjoy coffee from the glassed in front porch or from the dock as loons call across the lake and our local family of Bald Eagles share their morning catch. The kids (and adults) will love to call "quack" and watch the ducks walk up the lawn looking for duck food (provided). Inside, warm wood log and pine walls create a unique cozy interior create an inviting atmosphere after a day spent exploring the vast wilderness region. We call this Glamping, or glamor camping, with all the modern conveniences.

Adventure begins right outside your door. Cast a line from the private dock for bass, perch, pickerel and other warm-water fish or launch a boat and explore more than ten miles of clean connected waterways to catch Salmon and Lake Trout in deeper areas throughout the Pemadumcook Chain of Lakes. Numerous rivers and streams throughout the region provide even more fishing opportunities for anglers of every skill level.

For hikers, the cabin serves as an ideal base camp for some of Maine’s most iconic destinations. Explore the trails of Baxter State Park, discover the rugged beauty National Monument, or venture to Gulf Hagas—often called the “Grand Canyon of the North”—where waterfalls, gorges, and dramatic scenery await. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely nature walk or a challenging summit hike, the region offers trails for every experience level.

Adventure seekers will find no shortage of excitement. Experience Class V whitewater rafting on the Penobscot River beneath the shadow of Mt. We did this last years and the views are stunning!

Depending on the time of year, guests can forage for wild blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and a variety of edible mushrooms throughout the surrounding forests. Keep an eye out for moose, deer, bald eagles, and other native wildlife that call this remarkable region home. PS, no poisonous snakes in Maine, and i've never seen even a good one around here!

Explore our quiet cove and nearby islands by canoe or kayak (available onsite), jump in and cool off with a swim in this clear clean water lake, relax in the hammock overlooking the lake, gather around the picnic table for a traditional Maine lobster boil, or enjoy a fire in the pit at waters edge as the sun sets behind the mountains.

When darkness falls, the experience becomes truly unforgettable. The sunsets are magical!! Located near Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument—one of the few officially designated International Dark Sky regions in the United States—the area offers exceptional stargazing opportunities. From the dock, fire pit or hammock, enjoy dazzling views of the Milky Way, countless constellations, meteor showers, and, on fortunate nights, the incredible display of the Aurora Borealis dancing across the northern sky.
