We’ve been coming here since 2020 and plan to return many more. It has been a wonderful place to spend a portion of our summer with the kids.

Beautiful sunsets, beds were comfortable. About an hour away to Acadia and surrounding area. Just a note you to bring your own bath towels at request of owner, there is no washer/dryer. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage getaway! Swimming in the river was refreshing and fun for the whole family, and we loved exploring Penobscot, Orland and Buxport too.

A lovely retreat!

We had a wonderful stay at Venessa’s property. We enjoyed sunsets on the beach every night and the quiet calm of Penobscot. Venessa was a wonderful host!

A relaxing week overlooking the water.

I stayed for a week in October. The house was lovely and I felt right at home. I appreciated the cottage feel to the place. The sunsets and walks along the beach were just what I needed.

Perfect casual Penobscot Riverfront retreat

We loved every minute of our stay in Vanessa's cottage. It was very welcoming and really had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Our two dogs were more than happy to explore the rocky shore and we loved sitting out on the deck for sunset.

Venessa was very friendly and the property is lovely located overlooking the Penobscot River and Bay. We stayed for a week as a couple with four kids and enjoyed the house and the beautiful natural surroundings. We went raspberry picking in the garden, played on the beach and a deer visited us just below the deck. Thanks again Venessa for the nice stay. Tom&Anouk&Family

5 day stay

We were very pleased with the property. We so enjoyed the breath-taking views of Penobscot bay from the large cottage windows and the beautiful walks we were able to take along the water. The cabin is cozy and well equipped.

Wonderful getaway!

Such a beautiful place, on the bay and surrounded by trees. The lack of light pollution made stargazing simply amazing. Very clean and comfortable and we had all we needed for a relaxing stay. Easy drive to Bar Harbor and surrounding area. Venessa was just wonderful and so very nice. Looking forward to another stay here!

Perfect getaway location

Everything from check in to check out was just great. This was the perfect cabin for what we were looking for. The host was friendly and helpful. Everything thing we needed was supplied. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Peaceful setting

If you want a relaxing vacation this is it. Very quiet and peaceful.Walked along the private beach and found lots of sea glass.Nice view!

Slice of Heaven

We had a wonderful time at this property. Secluded, quiet, kids had the "beach" all to themselves. Very homey and comfortable. If we ever go to Maine again, we'll certainly be back. Venessa was a great hostess.

Slice of heaven

The hosts were wonderfully kind and helpful. The beach front is a one of a kind experience of privacy and peacefulness. The cottage met all our needs including front yard and deck for the pups to have a great vacation too!! We will return!!

Very nice and peaceful

We enjoyed our stay. Nice and quiet. Peaceful and private. Beautiful shoreline.. we walked a mile in both directions! Vanessa is very sweet and available.

So very peaceful

It was a beautiful week. My grandchildren roamed the beach for hours finding treasures. It was very relaxing and we found a swimming beach just 10 minutes away. We can't wait to go back and see all the seals and other wildlife that presented itself periodically during our stay.

Beautiful and tranquil

Our stay in Penobscot was absolutely perfect. The home is located right on the bay with beautiful sunset views across the water. We loved taking walks down the beach and coffee on the porch, our daughter had a great time exploring and playing on the beach as well. Can’t recommend this home enough, also had great communication with Vanessa who was super nice and helpful with any questions we had!

Exquisite, Charming & Accommadating

Very clean, nicely detailed and organized. If you are looking for calm, peace and quiet, this little haven will fill that order. Our host was most gracious and would stay their again. Thank you much!

Amazing stay

We absolutely fell in love with this place! It is equipped with everything you need, the view is unbelievable. About 40 minutes from Acadia, but it is nice to get away from the crowds and back to this peaceful place. Would absolutely recommend and stay again. The owner and her son were so accommodating, easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had, just can’t say enough good things.
