Growing up in the Piedmont area of North Carolina, my family often visited the Appalachian Mountains. The beauty and splendor of the area captured my heart long ago. After my husband and I both retired, we knew we wanted to spend more time in the Blowing Rock area, and we were thrilled to find the perfect getaway at Trout Lake. We are especially delighted to be able to share our mountain home with others by being a VRBO host!

Our townhome at Trout Lake allows us to enjoy stunning views of Grandfather Mountain and miles of Cone Manor carriage trails. From the Trout Lake parking lot, just a quarter mile away, we can hike around Trout Lake, up Rich Mountain, up to Cone Manor, down to Bass Lake or up to Flat Top Tower. Then after returning home we enjoy putting our tired feet up out on the deck, enjoying a favorite beverage and the gas fire pit while watching the sunset. That’s what I call a perfect day!
