It was a wonderful, unique experience to stay in an authentic log cabin. It was very clean and well decorated.We did have trouble with having enough hot water for the whirlpool tub but the host said he would have it fixed for the next guest. But even without that convenience, I would definitely recommend staying!

Truly a unique overnight experience. The log cabin is comfortable and cozy. Easy access to downtown McGregor, Pikes Peak State Park, and Effigy Mounds National Monument. Be sure to check out the in-house roasted coffee at Sadie's next door.

Good location, a bit noisier than I expected due to trains during the night and some construction. Close to Yellow River Forest, Effigy Mounds and Pikes Peak State Park. Comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen area includes microwave and small fridge, no sink. Looked like a nice fireplace which I did not use. Shopping, but few restaurants of note on main street; a couple of bars and one gourmet store. Kwik Star right across the street which was convenient. Host was friendly and accessible.

Everything was superior. The bathroom was bigger than I'd expected and the entire cabin has a rustic feel but includes all the amenities. And it is perfectly located to explore McGregor or the natural resources nearby. We would definitely recommend Sadie's cabin.

Comfortable character- filled place

The cabin was really comfortable- we really enjoyed our stay. The spot on the Main Street is an easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the easy access from McGregor to Effigy Mounds National Monument and Pike’s Peak State Park.

Charming, unique, cozy, clean and close to everything! I loved this cozy cabin so much and wished we would have longer than one night to stay. There are so many thoughtful touches and the decor is so unique and fun. I think my jaw stayed dropped for five minutes as I took it all in. Highly recommend for a couple or a small family with kids older than toddlers ( unless the sleep on futon in living room). The two rooms are in the open loft and are not private or enclosed. That made no difference to us because it was just the two of us, but something to mention. Don’t let the lack of central heat scare you. There are space heaters around but we never needed them. The wood burning fireplace kept the cabin warm and cozy. There is not a full kitchen…but there is a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker and the owner even provided a bag of popcorn and some apples in the fruit bowl. We didn’t miss the kitchen, but if staying long term, that may be an issue…just the perfect reason to enjoy the great local restaurant. This was just the cutest place and the location could not be better…right on the Main Street so easy walk to all the shops, restaurants and river. Close to Pikes Peak State Park, Yellow River State Forest…so much to see and do and beautiful in the Fall. Hope to come back for longer in the future.
