What a wonderful house to have our girls weekend at. We loved that it was pet friendly so that we could bring our dog with us! The rooms were great and the living room was super cozy! Thanks for a wonderful time!!!

We loved our stay! Very easy to find, stay, navigate. We used paddle tx to float the river and they picked us up right at our doorstep and dropped us back off as soon as we were done. Highly recommend! Also check out the birdhouse restaurant in gruene; kind of hidden but the food was much better (we thought) than gristmill. Thank you again!

Excellent home. Well stocked kitchen. The beds were really comfortable. Good location. Loved ending a busy day relaxing in the hot tub.

Property was nice and clean. Listed as downtown but it is not actually downtown but not far since we rented golf carts. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. Thanks.

My favorite place to stay! This was our 2nd time staying at the Blue Chateau for Mother’s Day Weekend and it so cozy and relaxing and close to everything. A special touch was the cheese & fruit tray they left for us in the refrigerator saying “welcome back”! We definitely felt welcomed and will recommend this home to you!

Very well stocked with all things needed. Very good communication with the property management. Short distance to Landa park. It has train rides, boating, swimming, Paddle boats, put-put golf course as well as a real 18 hole golf course, and riding the river on inner tubes. Excellent local for most everything you would want to do on the river. I AM SO SORRY MEN,I FORGOT THE FISHING PIER .

I do not usually post reviews but the Blue Chateau was such an awesome experience i decided to share that with others and to compliment the owner’s outstanding efforts as a host. The place was spotless There were so many small nuances which made it so welcoming— coffee fixings, snacks, laundry detergent, special towels for the hot tub, cozy throws, beautifully appointed rooms…. A wonderfully enjoyable stay. Also loved the lay out of the house and the front porch swing.

Mother’s Day Retreat

Simply the best stay! Spacious, cozy & enjoyable. I had the pleasure of staying two extra days. The beds were comfy and outdoor area was amazing and spent time in the hot tub and cooked smores. Definitely recommend and will absolutely stay here again.

One bedroom was uncomfortably hotter than the rest of the house making it difficult to sleep. The AC had to be set very low and a fan in the doorway to draw in cooler air. This helped but it then made the other rooms really cold.

Our stay was wonderful. There was a burn ban so we could not use the firepit but it was not an issue becuase we did so many other activities and local establishments. Would highly recommend and will be back. The hosts were responsive and everything went smoothly. Thank you!

Anniversary trip

We had a truly lovely stay at this beautiful home with my husband and our grandchildren. The house was cozy, clean, and very comfortable — perfect for a family getaway. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the welcoming touches throughout the home.Although we had quite a bit of unexpected rain during our stay, the house was such a pleasant place to be that we didn’t mind staying indoors. We spent time playing games with the kids, enjoying meals together, and just relaxing. The covered areas outside were also a bonus for getting some fresh air even when it was drizzling.All in all, it was a memorable and heartwarming trip, made even better by the comfort of this lovely home. We would absolutely come back again — hopefully with a little more sunshine next time!

There were eight of us who stayed at this property, and we loved every minute of it! The home was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for tubing and made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. We especially appreciated the hot tub after a day on the river. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to the area!
