Private Affordable Lodging at Blanche Manor Horse Ranch

Come join us on our private ranch for a vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You will be staying at the Bunkhouse at Blanche Manor, our 112 acre horse ranch located just minutes from Ocoee, TN, McCaysville, GA and 25 minutes from Blue Ridge, GA. We are in the heart of the Cohutta Wilderness with hiking, white water rafting, zip lining, and tubing within minutes, and with horseback riding on site. By choosing our location you will be close to all the activities you come to the mountains for, with the peaceful and serene setting of our ranch. We offer hourly trail rides through our beautiful mountain trails - complete with stream crossings and mountain views of 3 states. Packages are available for staying/riding. Our 2 bedroom bunkhouse has everything you will need for a comfortable, quiet, private stay in the mountains. The bunkhouse is open year-round. It has a queen bed in one bedroom, a twin bed with trundle in the other bedroom, and a tiled shower with vanity area. The decor is inspired by our ranch lifestyle. There is an electric fireplace for those chilly mountain evenings. The private deck has an outside dining area where you can hear the horses passing on the trail in the distance. After you have enjoyed the mountain activities, you can soak in the hot tub on the front deck while enjoying the beautiful starry nights! If you would like to have a fire, there is a firepit just below the hot tub area, and is perfect for roasting some smores.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, and to cut your tether to every day demands (no cable or internet), this is the place for you.

After Christmas getaway

We loved the property Nicer than the pictures more room than pictures appear Sam was great the couple of things we needed she was accommodating.So much to see around the area.Very private. We were all female but never felt unsafe.

City Folks Approve

My daughter loves all thing nature and unfortunately we live in a huge city where the closes thing to nature she ever sees are the racoons and stray cats and dogs that roam in our yard from time to time. This was most definitely a change of scenery and a different for both of us. My niece whose not into nature at all, let alone animals came with and I just knew we were going to spend the whole trip hearing her cry about everything from a falling leaf touching her to the smell of the horses at the ranch. Surprisingly, she had a blast. Both girls got to the cabin and were immediately excited about the hot tub and the mountain view at the top the hill. This is most definitely a trip to remember. Just a reminder, you most definitely need a SUV or truck to get to the cabin because the road is all gravel. I'll also recommend that if you have never gone camping or done anything remotely to living in the outdoors that you either youtube how to live out in the woods or bring someone along that knows how to set fires or at least start up a grill, it was a bit rough but luckily the cabin has a microwave and stove on the inside so all you have to is purchase groceries and do simple cooking. Also, bring a heating blanket and extra layers if you are from a place that doesn't really see much drop in the temperatures. It's freezing cold during fall and the temp does drop even more at night. I also recommend taking advantage of the horseback riding experience as well, my girls loved it.

Excellent Cabin Retreat

We had a wonderful experience at Blanche Manor for our honeymoon. A week on property riding horses and exploring the surrounding area was just what we needed to de-stress from the wedding. We will certainly be staying here again when we are in town.

Loved the privacy. Could not get a return nessage from mgt. There was no key to get in as per instructions. No telephone reception. Had to get horse stable msnager to call owner to get in. Hot tub is too far away from doir.

Great place to unplug and decompress

This place was clean, cozy and rustic, as advertised. We enjoyed seeing the horses but too cold for us to ride! There was plenty of towels and starter paper products, some dvds, and basic necessities for the kitchen. However, the hot tub is not private as riders come within feet of the bunkhouse. Also, the ad does not mention that the bunkhouse is not the whole house. It is the backside only with no access to the front porch without going outside! This means you have to walk around the house to get to the hot tub and the part of the house we had access to was super dark. Good for sleeping late! But not for enjoying the porch and hot tub like we imagined. One problem was that we had two different emails explaining how to get into the house. First one said there was a key on the gate post (there was not) and the other email gave a code for the door and we could not find the code in an email due to sketchy internet access. Luckily, the horseback ride guide came passing by at just the right time and he told us the code. Another glitch was that we got conflicting emails on the checkout time (10:00am vs 11:00am) and check in time (3:00pm vs 4:00pm). All in all, the place was worth the affordable rate but not something I would do again unless I just wanted to go horseback riding.

Beautiful

We enjoyed our stay! You could tell they had done some work on the cabin. The heat was a little weird in the cabin. It got hot in the bedroom when the door was closed, but the rest of the cabin was cold. Bed was pretty stiff, but the shower was amazing. The property manager communicated very well! Amazing to see the horses every day.

Off grid getaway

This little getaway from everything & everyone was much needed & way past due. If you are looking for concert & asphalt America this isnt the place for you. At this time you can tell they have been working on the place but it did not disappoint & i can only imagine it to be even better. Blanche Manor is tucked away in the back of the property in the edge of the woods & so peaceful for a much overdue reset. On top of wild animals & other insects or critters you may encounter i suggest taking the time for a private horseback ride while there.

Privet piece of Heaven

We loved this property, it’s so peaceful and quiet, privately located on the property. We enjoyed the hot tub and all the critters including the deer and the raccoons. We went on an amazing horse back ride and we’re able to walk down daily and feed the horses carrots and apples. We will definitely be staying here again. On another note Folks is just down the road with the most amazing coffee and hand pies both savory and sweet. It is a must!!

The only good thing was the horse ride

I got to the location and there were a lot of issues. The place is falling apart and the furniture on the photos is not the same. Missing chairs and warped floors. The door in the main room doesn’t lock and the bathroom was not cleaned properly. I planned to use the hot tub but it was full of dirt and when I tried to reach the property manager (multiple times) to possibly get it cleaned they didn’t answer or return my calls. I left a the day after I checked in knowing I would still have to pay for an extra day. The only thing I did enjoy was the horse riding guide.

Quiet Mountain Hideaway

Very quiet and peaceful. Clean and comfortable. Loved having a riding stable just around the corner (who were so accommodating and nice). Would for sure stay again.

Cute little getaway

My mom and I stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed horseback riding, spending time in the hot tub and being in nature. We saw several deer on our ride and loved how quiet it was. The bunkhouse isn’t fancy, but it was perfect for the two of us. It’s a little dark inside, and doing a puzzle together was hard inside. The smaller bed is a little me uncomfortable, but otherwise everything else was great. The shower was nice!

Great, quite place deep on the farm. Did not hear a sound.

Good place. Very quite. Could ride horses if had reached out. If u want rest, and no desire to go do things, great place. I could see a family with kids, the kids may be bored. Unless u want to ride horses. Place was clean. Could use an outside pressure washing, and some maintenance on exterior boards, but inside was great.

Nice stay in the middle of nature

We enjoyed our stay. Nice stay as listed. The horseback riding was excellent. Wifi would be nice, but we have cell coverage. Close to great hiking and white water rafting.

Quaint and simple

A little trouble checking in. The check-in instructions on the listing are outdated and caused some confusion. Other than that, everything was as advertised. Quaint area. Very basic setup. Couldn't find the thermostat to adjust the heating and cooling... The only one we found was outside the restroom and didn't work.

Peaceful

The bunkhouse is very clean inside. The shower has very hot water and a nice shower head to ease sore muscles. The amenities are what you need and you can watch DVDs if you don’t want to enjoy the outdoors on either a front or back deck. We never turned it on the 4 days we were there. Didn’t use the hot tub so can’t help you there. It is not the Hilton and is a little quirky. But we wouldn’t be planning our next trip there if it was not a good, rustic place to stay….. and trail ride. You need to ride the horses and enjoy very personable guides. Hiking trails are not available unless there are no rides scheduled. But we have stayed in the Blue Ridge area and there’s plenty of trails around there. Accept the fact that it’s not a hotel room in Atlanta but more of a nice country place to stay and you will enjoy it. If you are picky, don’t go. Or just relax for a few days and assimilate what you can’t abide 😄

Well off beaten path, needs updating

It was raining hard when we got there. We opened the door to the bunkhouse and it stuck on the floor half way so you had to side step to the right. That’s when I noticed that the floor wasn’t attached. Looked like it had tried to be fixed with spray foam. The bunk house had different couches than what was listed, but comfortable. The TV, only played CDs- there were some available. The bathroom was very nice. The horse ranch looked very nice and I wish we had the opportunity to enjoy it. As stated, it is at least a 30 minute drive to Blue Ridge, GA. This listing is in TN. We ended up leaving early.
