We definitely had some issues with this place, but I addressed them to the hostess and they said they would definitely get on top of my request. Communicating with the hostess was excellent. And I believe very much that if they address the issues this place could be a really good place to stay when you visit Chicago

Great stay for a weekend trip! The property was clean and there was plenty of space for everyone. It is an upstairs apartment and the staircase to get up there is very steep, so maybe not the best choice for someone with mobility issues, but worked ok for us. There was a space available to park in the back as advertised, however the alley you have to use to get back there is very tight and we found it much easier to utilize the street parking in front of the house. There was plenty of room and we never had an issue finding a parking spot when we returned in the evenings. It was a quiet neighborhood and there is a police station just down the street so we felt very safe.

Birthday Weekend

We just stayed one night on our way to another destination. The home was very clean and well presented when we arrived. We had no issues and would stay again.

Spacious and great for a quick night stay! We had six guests for a night and everyone was comfortable. Everything was clean. The kitchen is small, but served it's purpose for us. It is on the second floor, so guests will need to be able to walk up the wooden stairs around the back of the home.Overall if you need to find a place for a night with a great price, parking, and about a 25 minute drive from downtown, stay here!

Property manager always reached back out when I had a question so I really appreciated that. Place was about 20 ish minutes (30 ish with traffic) to the main tourist area which wasn’t too bad. Only thing I would change is adding a bit more equipment to the kitchen for guests to use such as napkins, a bit more toilet paper for the bathrooms, cleaner blankets, maybe a bit drawings offered to use for the kitchen like most rental places have but besides that, not a bad place at all and the neighborhood was just really quiet - a few drivers that took the stop signs but no one really seemed to come out into their porches when we went on a walk.

For the cost and location right outside of Chicago, I believe it was a very reasonable place for 3 bedrooms. There were several items in need of repair but did not really impede our stay. The steps up to the apartment are a bit steep but manageable. I would recommend if coming in the summer months to maybe have an additional fan, the AC could not keep up with the outside heat but the fans the host did have made a tremendous difference - we could have used one more for the 3rd bedroom and preferably a dedicated one in the living room to not have to move continually. The host did offer to send maintenance with a window unit but since we primarily only slept there we didn’t ask them to add it and made due. We had 6 people so the one bathroom was a little tight, I’d maybe suggest adding at least one more towel rack, but the shower was of great quality, water pressure, and very warm water. The kitchen is not large enough to eat a meal in for 6 so we primarily had to move to the living area. I wouldn’t plan to do daily cooking in the kitchen but it can get you by for a few days. The beds were very comfortable but one is lofted quite high - my boys loved climbing up into it though. The living room was spacious and a great evening hang out area. We ended up parking in the front on the street because the back is a super tight alley and we had a van. But, no problems parking at any time of day and the neighborhood felt safe with a close by police station.
