A five-minute drive from downtown, this fully remodeled home occupies a prime location in a quiet neighborhood just three streets from the Mont Ripley ski hill and only minutes away from several local restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops, and hospitals. While conveniently close to businesses, it is nestled into a hillside* with old-growth forest behind it, offering a quiet space to recharge and observe the area’s natural beauty. Enjoy views of the Portage Canal and Michigan Tech right from the front porch!


This charming three-bedroom gem in Hancock (Ripley) features a well-appointed kitchen, a first-floor bathroom with shower/bathtub and washer/dryer, a convenient entryway, and a cozy living area. It also offers a full-size bed and generous closet in the first-floor bedroom. The upstairs bedrooms have a queen bed and a twin trundle bed, respectively. With modern amenities such as WiFi, a Smart TV, and a Keurig coffee maker, you’ll enjoy this historic destination in comfort. Whether looking for a peaceful retreat or a convenient base for outdoor adventures, this property has it all.

*Please note that due to the hill, there are eight steps to get into the home, in addition to 3 steps up from the parking area along the street. Concrete one-car (small to mid-size SUV) garage with a manual (hand-lift) garage door. Trucks or larger SUVs will not fit in the garage. There are road restrictions in the winter.

Great spot for our family of 5 to stay while we explored the Keweenaw Peninsula! Easy check in, great communication, easy to get to, quiet neighborhood, and very clean. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay. It exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable and clean with an amazing view and quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for bringing our son back to Tech. I highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Very clean, beautifully remodeled and great location! We were there for MTU orientation so we didn’t have a lot of time to explore but we will be back!

Beautiful, clean house. Everything is new and neat. Very comfortable and spacious for our family of 5. The hosts thought of everything guests might need while staying there. All the amenities from washer/dryer to the variety of coffee pods was so appreciated! We sat one morning and went through the card deck of ideas for things to do in the area and made our itinerary. :)

We really loved our stay here! It was so comfortable, incredibly clean, quiet and close to the ski slope. Our hosts went above and beyond. We are looking forward to staying again at this great rental in big snow country.

Perfect Place to Rest and Reset

My wife and I had a great experience here with its locations only minutes from Hancock and really minutes from several nice spots. If you’re looking for a nice little spot to rest and recharge, this house will satisfy any of you or your family’s needs.
