Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of Chicago's North Side from our lovely 2-bedroom apartment on N Halsted St. Located in the heart of Boystown (East Lakeview) neighborhood, this apartment offers a fantastic opportunity to experience authentic Chicago living.



The Space:

The apartment features two cozy bedrooms, a comfortable living space perfect for relaxing, and a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. The single bathroom is clean and well-maintained.



Step out onto Halsted St and discover a lively mix of local shops, cafes, bars, and theaters. Explore the beautiful Lincoln Park, visit the Lincoln Park Zoo, or take a stroll along the scenic lakefront, all just moments away. With excellent public transportation options nearby, the rest of Chicago is easily accessible. Come and experience the charm of Lincoln Park and Lakeview!



(We have multiple units with the same general layout, but some finishing touches might vary slightly.)

Please note that our place is on the upper floor and is accessible by stairs—there’s no lift in the building.



The Neighborhood:

Enjoy a prime location with easy access to dining, shopping, and top sights. Wrigley Field, Belmont Harbor, and Lincoln Park are all just a few minutes away.



Getting Around:

Public transportation is conveniently accessible from the apartment. The Halsted & Cornelia bus stop is just a 1-minute walk away, while the Halsted & Roscoe bus stop is about 2 minutes on foot. Addison Station is roughly an 8-minute walk, and Belmont Station is approximately 13 minutes away.



Other Things to Note:

You may hear some noise, especially at night or on weekends, as the unit is close to a restobar. Earplugs and white noise machines are available on request to help you sleep comfortably.



Pet-friendly with prior approval and pet fee. Dogs and cats only. Pets may not be left unattended unless crated, must comply with quiet hours, and are not permitted on furniture. The pet fee does not cover damage to furniture, bedding, rugs, or excessive hair/odor removal.

We had a great stay! The location is perfect! Unit is over quite a happening bar, with loud music playing late at night. The complimentary ear plugs definitely helped!

Communication with host was great and very helpful! The location was amazing! Close to some great restaurants and bars. The unit was easy to access, very clean and well setup.

This was the best location, in the heart of Boystown. Clean apartment with all the basic amenities. The price was very reasonable as well. Complaints: located directly above a nightclub and the noise comes through the floor until 11pm. The bathroom is tiny and needs a refurbishment.

Internet was horribly slow, heat was broken the entire stay and it took 2 days of arguing with the host before it was finally fixed, noise monitoring device hidden behind the tv, only one dining chair, bed was hard as a rock. overall the only reason to ever stay here is the location.

Regarding the heating, the building uses a central system, and when concerns were raised, we coordinated service as quickly as possible. We understand how frustrating the delay felt, and we want to note that the heating system has since been fully addressed to ensure proper operation for future guests. Internet performance has also been reviewed, and steps have been taken to improve reliability. The noise monitoring device you mentioned is a Minut sensor, which is disclosed in the listing and is used only to measure decibel levels — it does not record conversations. This is in place to ensure compliance with house rules and respect for neighbors. We’ve also reviewed the furnishings and setup, and the concerns mentioned have since been addressed to improve comfort and functionality. We’re glad you found the location convenient, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback as it helps us continue improving the guest experience.

Property was fairly easy to find, there is no parking onsite but paid lots are close. The area felt quite safe with places to eat or sit for a drink close by. The location is quite convenient, a very short walk to Wrigley Stadium and the elevated train to reach many Chicago sights.

There was some sort of mix up and the home was not cleaned when we arrived, plus there were several items in the fridge from previous guest. Management had it cleaned when we went out for the evening. They own multiple units in this building, and there is only a very short sentence about this on the listing. As a result, we did not get the listing/furnishings we thought we were getting. The photos made it look as if everything was brand new, but what we got was not what was in the listing and not new or fresh feeling as in the photos. There was mention from the owner/management of a small refund for the housekeeping issue but that did not materialize. It was just an ok experience which warrants this average review score. Not great, not terrible.

Overall the unit was clean, however, in the one bathroom, there was a hole in the ceiling possibly caused by a water leak, with black mold around it. Sprinkles of the black mold drifted down from the hole onto our towels and clothes. Additionally, the photos of the unit showed 3 bedrooms, but only 2 exist, and several photos are not from the advertised unit. I asked the host to please consider refunding a portion of our fee due to these issues, but the host has not responded in any way. Thank you.

Communication with the host was like pulling teeth, almost nonexistent. Plus, this is a VRBO property and you can’t contact them on here, and they won’t message back on the VRBO app. We didn’t receive the access information until 30 minutes before the 3pm access time, which had us really concerned because we were wondering if the place was a potential scam. Inside the property the beds didn’t have a loose, middle sheet between the comforter and there were no extra blankets so our friend who slept on the couch was freezing all night. Absolute CRAP hosts. Wouldn’t recommend staying here at all.

I asked for an early check in and it wasnt available which was ok but when we got to the property at 3;30 for the 3:00 check in the outside door key wasnt in the box where I was given the instructions for. It was in another box. Once another key was in another box we went up stairs and the code we were given for the door to the apartment was wrong. They say it was changed for security reasons. OK great dont send me the incorrect info - update your check in instructions. We get inside the apartment door (around 4:00 now) and there are a set of car keys and the back door is unlocked. I would assume it was the cleaning ladys keys and then she knocked on the door at 4:15 to grab them. So apt wasnt ready at the 3 check in and the check in instructions were not updated with the correct codes to get into the doors which created an hr delay when we were alrady traveling all day to get there. They were going to charge 50 for an early check in and I told them to credit me 50 since the apt wasnt ready on time and for the incorrect instructions. Crickets!!
